Gill tree care was responsive and professional. They were quick to offer dates and times for an estimate and because of my challenges with getting to phone calls, they switched quickly to texting communication. They did a beautiful job of trimming back trees and cleaning up the debris. They were good about letting us know to notify neighbors and everything went very smoothly. We picked Gill because they were a local small business and got great reviews. We did not comparison shop so do not know if prices were reasonable, but they did a great job which was worth it to us. read more

OH my gosh, these people are amazing! They gave us an outstanding price, they scheduled the job right away, the crew worked together as a seamless team, they were respectful of our and our neighbors' property, they cleaned up after themselves beautifully, AND their climber was a badass woman! I could not have asked for a better experience. Gill Tree Care is the gold standard. read more

I had the difficult task of removing a majestic, 100-foot Oak Tree from my backyard after it was struck by lightning for the second time in four years. Amazingly, it survived the first strike--but this time, the damage made it clear that removal was necessary for the safety of both my home and my neighbors'. It was a sad and unexpected loss, as the tree was one of my favorites, but I knew this was a job that required true expertise and extreme care. Enter Brendan Gill and the team at Gill Tree Care--and let me just say, believe the 5-star reviews. From our first onsite meeting, Brendan was everything I needed in a tree care professional: highly qualified, deeply knowledgeable, and remarkably approachable. He's both a certified Arborist and Treecare Safety Professional, which was very important to me in my hiring decision. While other companies left me feeling more anxious after their assessments, Brendan gave me peace of mind. He genuinely cared about the health of my landscape, and he walked me through the process with clarity and professionalism. He even handled the permit filing with the city on my behalf, making the process smooth and stress-free. The tree's location was tricky--situated in the back corner of my yard near two neighboring homes--but Brendan and his crew executed the removal with precision. On service day, his team showed up on time, worked efficiently, practiced excellent safety measures, and were gracious and respectful throughout. They even performed a light pruning of nearby trees as a courtesy. On top of that, pricing was fair and reasonable for the required work. I've hired many home service providers over the years, but this was a standout experience. I'm a customer for life now and Gill Tree Care is the right mix of skill, service, and heart. Super trustworthy and Highly recommended! read more

This is my second time using these folks, and they are awesome to work with! I did get other estimates, so I went with them for the quality and professionalism. I highly recommend Gill Tree Care! Thank you Brendan and team! read more

I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate in or around their busy season (late June). Brendan personally came out to inspect my tree problem. He really knows his stuff and he is super courteous / nice with no high pressure sales tactics. He sent me an estimate a day or two later and the price was more than fair for the work we had discussed being done. Just to be sure, I got more inspections / estimates from other tree service companies and Gill Tree Care won me over easily. The difference in how the other guys do inspections and conduct their business negotiations (e.g. providing estimates / plan of action options / sales tactics) when compared to Gill is like the difference between night and day. The day the tree was scheduled to be taken down finally came to pass and - as no surprise - his crew did the job exactly as one would expect: Fast, safe, efficient. Perhaps most importantly; there was no residual damage to my property or to my neighbors. The job took about 3.5 hours from start to finish. If I need another tree taken down, then you know who I'm calling again. A++ / Highly recommended!! read more

I needed five trees removed from my property and my neighbor recommended Gill Tree Care. Brendan came over and gave me a very reasonable quote. We agreed on a date for my service but it turned out they had a cancellation and called me to offer to push the service forward which worked out perfectly for me. They came early and set everything up. The crew was so friendly with big smiles, which was a surprise. The got the work done quickly and safely and before billing me, they called to make sure I was satisfied. They invoiced me and I was able to pay with ApplePay! So incredibly convenient. I'll definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a fantastic business, and I have two stories to support this claim. The first is I noticed the bushes in front of my house appeared to be dying this spring. I called Gill Tree Care (Brendan is an arborist) and they had a two week wait list because they were so busy, but since my bushes might be dying and time was of the essence, Brendan stopped by the next day very early in the morning and checked them out. He then emailed me and said they could possibly use some organic fertilizer (which he attached a quote for), but he recommended I wait a season and see what happened. In a few weeks, the bushes were looking better--Brendan had gone out of his way to help me and hadn't charged me a dime. A few weeks later I had a branch break off a big tree in my back yard and it was dangling over my fence and my neighbor's fence. Brendan came back out and said that once the branch was pruned the tree would be compromised and should be taken out. We scheduled the removal, and in the interim the branch fell and was resting on my fence. Brendan called for photos of the tree so he could send them to the city to get the tree removal permit and noticed the branch laying on my fence. He said it could take a week or more for the permit to be approved, but he didn't like the branch laying on my fence for that long, so he ended up sending guys out twice--once to get the branch off my fence and again to take the tree out. This was all at his cost, and he did it all proactively without me asking just because he's a decent person and an honest business man. The guys who have come out to work on the property were all polite, friendly, and extremely professional and good at their jobs. I think if there were more business that were run like this one, we'd all get along better! read more

We needed a big tree, trimmed back from the house and from neighboring trees, and we also needed somebody qualified to make an assessment if the tree was healthy. After a stellar recommendation, we decided to contact Gill Tree Care. The customer service right off the bat was great! We were immediately found a spot for a free consultation from the proprietor himself, Brendan Gill. He was polite, punctual, and very helpful. He carefully listen to all our concerns and provided actionable and easy to understand solutions. Satisfied with his expertise and honesty, we decided to move forward with their services. Gill Tree Care did all the work and assessment carefully and professionally. Not only were they able to address all of our concerns, they cleaned up impeccably after themselves. The value that they offered was also exceptional. We will definitely reach out to Gill Tree Care again in the future. Highly recommended! read more

We could not have been more pleased with their work and customer focus. Brendan is a certified arborist. They proposed a fair price, and showed up on time and on budget. And they were a pleasure to work with: Brendan, his office manager Anya, and the tree crew. They exceeded expectations all around. read more

I recently had four trees removed from my intown property, a big oak tree that was bundled with a pecan and leaning alarming over our house, and two smaller maples that were also bundled at the root. Gill Tree Care did a great job removing the trees safely and without any drama and for 10% less than what two other companies proposed. It was a wonderful experience and I would be very happy to use them again. read more
