Rude on the phone, continuously interrupted me when I tried explaining where I was when he couldn't find me. even after he had me send him a screenshot of my exact pinned location upon his request. Hung up on me after I asked him to please stop interrupting me so I could explain where I was. Wondering if I still had someone coming out at all, I had to call HIM back, and he has the audacity to say "Don't hang up", rather aggressively when he hung up on me in frustration not moments before. While I did mess up a few streets along the way, and apologized for the confusion, he never once apologized for his own behavior. The reason directions got so jumbled is because he was ignoring what I was saying and cutting me off before I could finish any sentence. I had to stand on the curb super far away from my car to find him and flag him into the garage I was in. He offered to drive me back to my car, which was kind in principal, but the "get in" approach sounded more forceful and like it was a pain rather than him offering it as a kind service. When I get in, he SPEEDS THROUGH THE PARKING GARAGE, making me worry for pedestrian safety if someone walked out in front of us. I was about to yell stop before he slams on the brakes by my car. Then he has me text sign a document to, in his words, "agree to do the service". When I agreed, my Lyft app (where I ordered the service) said the job had been completed. At this point, he hasn't even touched my car. What if he had driven off right then and there? I could complain to Lyft, but he could argue "no, he clearly signed it was complete, so I did the job". Hm. After he's done, second my car turns on, he jumps into his car and peels off without saying a word; no "it's all done", no "here's how long to keep your car on for", and no replacing my battery cover or closing my hood (which every other mechanic has done with a jump). He screeches out of the parking garage, I peek into my hood to check my battery because at this point, this guy rubs me the wrong way. Glad I did, because the cover wasn't put on correctly and it was definitely half-assed. What worries me about that is there's a pipe/vent/opening on the cover that lines up with other parts of the car, suggesting air flow is important, and he put it back together incorrectly. I'm not a car guy, but seeing two things under a hood that should be exactly lined up not be lined up definitely concerns me. I don't know if it would've hurt my car, but either way, the half-ass passive-aggressive approach was unacceptable. I looked up the phone number to call the company and report this guy for unsafe driving while I was in the car, for being extremely rude over the phone, for interrupting me constantly, and for not completing the service correctly on my car, and guess what? Turns out the company phone is whatever phone the guy has on him, because it was the same number he'd been contacting me on. So even if I called, he'd be the one to pick up, so there was no point in that. All in all, assuming the person who serviced my car is the owner since the number is the same for my mechanic and the company, just don't bother. I get that people have bad days, and that sometimes spots can be hard to find, but like.... dude. I know you'll probably end up reading this. If you see this, and you want to do well, stop interrupting when people are trying to help you, finish what you start, and please, just... use basic respect. I don't think you're a bad guy, maybe you had a bad day, but holy hell my dude. This was beyond bad service. read more

I called USAA which contacted Gilberto's who then contacted me. I had a completely dead battery in me Subaru Outback. Although difficult because of the completely dead battery the service attendant had the car started in a few minutes. Great service just great. read more

All I can say is this place is amazing! I had a tire blow out on the freeway at 3:00 am on my way to work. I was stranded on a highway that was getting busier and busier as time went on. I contacted my insurance and they said it would be 5 hrs before someone could change my tire for me. I called Gilberto by chance and they where able to help me. The guy said he would be there in 25 min and he was actually there in 15 min. I will from this moment on keep their company card in my wallet so I can call then when I'm in need for assistance! I am extremely impressed with Gilbert's Roadside LLC! I was in a rental car that I had just picked up from the airport because I flew into SLC for a meeting. Not file miles from the airport, I had car trouble which would put me late for my meeting. (Needless to say, I am upset and frustrated!!) I called the rental car Roadside Assistance, and I was on hold for the first 13 minutes just to speak with someone, then the person who finally came on the phone spent 43 minutes trying to figure out my location in the US despite my specific description. If they indeed got my location figured out, the company would charge me $100.00 for the response. I hung up, contacted my private auto insurance where I have roadside assistance, and they immediately contacted Gilberto's who was at my location within 15 minutes, with a smile on his face. I was back on the road five minutes later. Thankfully, I made it to my meeting which had barely started, had a productive day in SLC and was able to get everything accomplished in town so I could fly home that same evening, as I intended. If not for Gilberto's, this day would have NOT been successful, and I would have remained VERY upset with the unfolding of events.
