Then told me I needed to call to see if they would approve it, but then he wouldn't wait for us to call and get that approval. We finally got a hold of Allstate Roadside Assistance, who he said dispatched him, and they approved it, then he wouldn't come back to do the job. He claimed he couldn't open it because it was a commercial truck, but it's just a Econoline 250, not a semi, and it was approved. He left us here all night.

I called Advantage Auto and Towing to confirm the address because I was getting two different…read moreaddresses so I could release my car to the insurance company. The person on the phone was very rude. He said there was a sign outside that clearly stated the place of business. This was partly true. They must share this sight with another company because in the middle was a bright sign that said "Mountain west auto" then next to it was a black and white sign that said "advantage auto" My eyes only saw the first sign. It took me a while to figure out this red shack was the towing yard. When I finally got to the place and went inside the guy there was very "matter of business" and not friendly at all. I asked him for my license plates to my car and he told me I didn't need them. I could call the DMV and cancel them that way. I told him again that my insurance company told me I needed them and he again told me no. He stared at me like that was it, I needed to leave because he wasn't going to get them. I did end up leaving but the situation made me very uncomfortable. This place sounds very shady. What are they doing with my license plates? Why wouldn't he get them for me or let me in the back to get them myself? People are coming to this place in a low time in their lives. Majority of these cars have been in accidents and a little customer service would have been appreciated. This place SUCKS! Now on top of everything else I have to deal with I have been given another task of calling the DMV to cancel my license plates because this guy refused to do his job. I will NEVER recommend this place. If I ever get in an accident again and this company is called I will refuse service and request another company!

Wrong, they're open till 5pm. 2: He failed to tell me--full knowing this would put me in a bind--that the location only accepted cash. Nobody in this day and age carries around hundreds of dollars in cash. Why would he lie? Because by tricking me, it meant he would collect an additional $40 fee for an additional day. So, when I arrived, the shop foreman yelled at me, telling me they were closed and that they only took cash. Had I not been wearing my uniform from a local law enforcement agency, I suspect the foreman would have kicked me out altogether. Unfortunately, I had Uber'ed to the location, which is in the middle of an industrial park. He told me I could walk to the Maverick which was several blocks away and withdraw cash; but I am a partial paraplegic who can not walk very far at all. One of the mechanics--not affiliated with the towing company--offered to give me a ride to my bank. I opted against trying to withdraw cash at the Maverick, because the bill--for less than 48 hours of my car being there--was $360, which is a ridiculously high amount to pay for what amounted to a 3-block tow and less than two days in the lot. Thus, the only star of my "one star" rating is for the kindness of the completely unaffiliated mechanic. Otherwise, it was a horrible experience. I feel violated. Abusive towing practices are real. And if it can happen to me, it can happen to you.

It has been over 2 weeks since I talked to him and when I tried requesting a refund on Venmo his profile is canceled/closed! WOW! Please do not fall for this FRAUD.
