The office is impeccably clean and modern. The staff there have always been efficient and respectful and very capable in all the years I've depended on HMS for my dental health. I saw a different provider for stomach issues about 3 months prior to seeing Susan. I had seen Susan 3 times before today. And I haven't been on depression mens for years. Susan is rude and dismissive. HMS is working to rectify the issue, but seeing Susan and expecting to be leaving with medicine to help but leaving more upset than I went in was not ok!

My daughter had gone in to see Dr. Odocha back in September of 2015 there was a discrepancy with…read moreher billing and she was told she had to pay the entire amount of $392. She paid $100 to the doctors office directly but was unable to make anymore payments at the time. She was understandably sent to collections for the remaining amount and made arrangements to make payments for the remaining amount which was eventually paid off. I later found out about the bill (as I am in another state) and called the insurance to resolve this claim. They fixed the error and paid the doctors office $352.40 in November of 2016 her responsibility is her $20 co-pay. My daughter went to the doctors office that week to ask about reimbursement for the amount she paid which was an extra $372.40. The office said they had received the insurance payment and would get a check to her that week. When she did not get a check she called the office and they again said they would send a check. Well 4 months later I have to call the office and make threats to complain. Finally we get somewhere, I am assured there is a check waiting for my daughter and she can come in and pick it up. My mom goes in to pick it up for her and it is only $293.40 a difference of $79 which is a large amount for a college student paying her own tuition. I call the office and they refuse to pay the remaining amount. It just seems to me like double dipping. Not only were they paid in full by my daughter but they were also paid by my insurance for the full amount two times! How many insurance companies pay 60% much less %100 of the total bill? It was frustrating enough trying to get her money back it becomes even more frustrating when the attitude of the office is so uncaring. I spoke to Dione about this bill and she was very unsympathetic to the entire situation. She may only be following orders but she should learn compassion. We are all human beings but not all of us are being human. This office needs to practice compassion for others.

I've been clean for 5 years. I don't even drink alcohol! Am I a bad person for needing both psychiatric care as well as addiction maintenance? Because today my mother called them (I'm sick since I've been seeing a nurse Practitioner, Mr. Omega. He completely changed my psychiatric medication without even getting a full evaluation), and handed me the phone. The woman on the other end said these exact words "so, you want suboxone, right? No...No!!!! I called because you folks at HMS have nearly destroyed my entire life. I call and leave messages for Nicole and she does not call me back. This is the kind of place that seems to employe ignorant and unfriendly, uninviting and condescending people who will treat you like pathetic junkie. I asked Nurse Practitioner Omega if he was actually a doctor (everyone calls him "Dr. Omega") , I figured he was an actual Doctor since he took some of my medications away completely. When I did ask him what kind of medical proffessional he was, he told me that it's NOT IMPORTANT and NONE of my concern!! I'm a proffessional, grown woman who has not touched substances FOR 5 YEARS!! Today the woman I spoke with, the one who asked "you want suboxone, right?" Hung up on me, why?? Because I finally, FINALLY WAS ANGRYYYY! I did absolutely raise my voice because she would not stop talking about how there is a waiting list for the maintenance program...Uhhh IM ALREADY A PATIENT!!?? Do they just assume that I'm some random dope fiend? I'm honestly not sure... I am sick. I am unable to work due to these extreeeeme changes in my psychiatric medication. I moved to Silver City, New Mexico under the impression that HMS offers psychiatric and dependance care because my mother was assured that they offered the care that I require. I am living an absolute nightmare! I am kind. I have been so kind to these people. I've left messages in tears begging for help. Nurse Practitioner Omega decided that he would no longer be my provider and that he was "putting in a referral for a new provider". Nobody has called me about this. I'm now being just...left hanging. I've had to cut my pills into quarters and suffer through insane withdrawal. So bad that I've gone to the hospital twice! But...HMS....forgot that I am their patient... The young woman who hung up on me today should have shut her mouth while I spoke. She should have listened to me from the beginning of the conversation as opposed to speaking over me louder and louder until I HAD ENOUGH! My entire world has been flipped upside down. Just writing this is extremely difficult because, they chose to mess with my medication and leave me hanging with nothing. Nothing at all. I was becoming increasingly concerned about Mr. Omega, the way he speaks to me like I'm worthless. So? I began to video record our sessions. If these people dont wake up and help me. They will be facing a huge HUGE lawsuit! I've had enough and I DEMAND to be treated in a humane manner. Today my mom called them for me to see what the heck is going on. She was told that Erin would call me. No call... so I called them, and the woman I spoke with said that Erin isn't even there today!!! So yeah. These people have too much power and they are capable of destroying lives. Absolutely. This will not continue as long as I'm around. Nope! If they want to go this low, fine. Bring it! I'm not putting up with HMS's incompetence. Updated from day after posting review: They still didn't call. I called and left a message for...Erin (it's hard to keep up with all of the names of people who I've spoken to) She actually called me back! At first I was relieved to hear her voice because she's been kind to me. She has. But, today she said that I was the one to request a new provider. No! Incorrect! Mr Omega told me without me saying a word about it "I'm going to put a referral for a new provider for you". I has complained about NP Omega to the staff. I don't know if the doctor was aware of the bad behavior from the receptionists or if she is the one who sent the message. As a result, I no longer will go to HMS for any of my medical needs. Both my husband and I have found another provider who will hopefully exhibit a kinder and more professional and caring attitude.
