I was recently fired as a patient from HMS Tu Cass without any medication or time to find a new provider. The provider from whom I was abruptly "let go" from is referred to by the staff at Tu Casa as Dr. Omega. He is NOT a doctor, he is a Nurse Practitioner with too much power and he is, in my experience, a complete bully. When I asked him if he was a Doctor he replied "this is not important" and that it "doesn't matter".
I was fired on the day of my appointment to get my medication refills. I was fired without the 30 days notice, time for me to find a new provider. The way in which I was fired was uncalled for and it was WRONG.
I was "let go" for 2 reasons.
Reason #1) "because I was 15 minutes late."
I was indeed running late and I spoke to Marina when I called to tell them that I was running 10-15 minutes late.
I even asked her if I should reschedule (even though I was out of my medication). She paused for longer than a moment and finally said it was fine, and to come on in to my appointment with Omega.
Reason #2) They told me that I missed an appointment with Consuelo, a "Substance Abuse Counselor" at Tu Casa whom I've met briefly only ONCE since I began as a patient of Mr. Omega, and the months that I was his patient
I NEVER was made aware of, nor spoken to about any appointments with the counselor, in fact it was me who asked the staff at the front desk more than once about it because I wanted to speak with a counselor about the awful treatment I was receiving from Omega.
The manner in which I was fired from Tu Casa as their patient was just unprofessional, immoral, inhumane as well as (it turns out, "possibly illegal")and largely unjustified. I have suffered GREATLY because of this decision that, I believe was not well...thought our.
I was led by a staff member down a hall to a separate room where another staff member stood, and a man that I had never seen before in black suit attire sat with his arms folded and a frown on his face. He was silent throughout their "firing process" in a room, alone, with 3 people.
I have endured unfair treatment in my years but nothing comparable to the way I was fired from HMS Tu Casa.
