He trained me specifically for an Aravaipa Runnning race. The McDowell Frenzy 50k. The training was so detailed and worked around my schedule. I learned so much about nutrition,caloric intake and overall running with purpose. I PR'D in 2014 with a time of 5:08. It was such a rewarding feeling. I came back next year to take 3rd place overall. Of course it took some discipline on my end but the confidence he provided was second to none. I highly recommend Bret if your serious about improving. I believe as a runner I am extremely stubborn I set all that aside and allowed Bret to guide. Best decision I ever made.

It felt like Michael had no interest in helping me, no, it felt like I somehow disturbed him. He was jerking my hand around and aggressively putting things on his desk. The few words he said to me were short and crass. To top it all off, my nails look awful. They aren't even, the edges are rough, the color was not what I was hoping for - and I didn't feel comfortable asking for modification. A Yelp search brought up Belleza Salon at the top with good reviews, so I booked an appointment. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the cut and color turned out fine. Not the best I've ever had, but perfectly okay. Then came the shock: $160! For comparison, I used to get my cut and color done in Arcadia, one of the nicer areas of Phoenix, and never paid more than $120, often for noticeably better results. I would have happily given 5 stars if the price matched the value, but $160 feels steep for a small town in southwest New Mexico. We moved here partly because the cost of living is lower than in Phoenix. Turns out that's true for most things, just not at Belleza Salon. 3 stars. Friendly staff, decent work, but priced well above what the experience delivers.

I have been giving and getting massage since studying the art at the Acupressure Institute in 1984 and this was one of my treasured experiences. I have had Thai style and other massages of this type, none touched this one. This is because of the practitioner, she is a gift!
