Finding someone that can give you a real budget, who communicates well, and is reliable; however, we consistently failed to find such a person until we met Stan. He was not only an absolute pro but a delight to work with, who listened to all of our needs and clearly explained all the processes and expenses, had a wonderful and amazing team who were professional, capable, kind and fun to be around. Not to mention how fast and effective he and his team were at finishing the renovations before our baby arrives. Stan also had wonderful suggestions for some of the renovation ideas that we had in mind. If we have any other construction work, we would call on Stan and his team in a heartbeat. Thank you for preparing our house for this new chapter of our family :)

This time I had a kitchen fully gutted and redone, pricing was competitive, but between all the work to be done. Electrical, plumbing, framing, granite etc. Stan coordinated it perfectly and I wish I took a before picture, because this picture doesn't do it justice. I am beyond happy and better yet my wife is . Needless to say, Thank you again Stan and your crew, you did a great job

John Doucette has to be, without a doubt, the best contractor in Massachusetts…read more He created our dream home; and turned the stereotype of disappearing contractors on its head. When John takes on a project, you have his full and undivided attention daily until the job is done. What impressed me the most about John is the simple fact that he takes on only one job at a time; and never ever leaves you wondering what's next and when will he be back. We opted to live in our home while the construction was underway. It was a 4-5 month job that involved intricately timed demolition and reconstruction of kitchen space and bathrooms. He built us a temporary kitchen and always managed to have a functioning bathroom for a family of six and a dog! John creates a project flow chart/calendar that he gives to you and to his subs; and everyone has their homework and deadlines to meet. If a sub falls behind in their schedule, they work late and work weekends until they are back on schedule. How he manages to leave a job at the end of the day cleaner than he found it in the morning still amazes me. There is no such thing as a problem when John is concerned. He manages every detail, and is usually five steps ahead of anything a homeowner can think of as a potential issue. He is fastidiously aware of MA building codes; and will not cut corners or take shortcuts, when it comes to any aspect of his work. John vets his subcontractors to a level that I have never seen. Several of his major subcontractors have worked with him for almost two decades. Frankly, in today's building industry, that is almost unheard of. Would we use John again for any other project? In a second, with no reservations! I feel that there will be some people who read this will say to themselves.. ya sure.. like I believe this story.. to those who do, trust me, it's all tru

Fernando was consistently professional, communicative, honest, and respectful of both us and our home. He remained fully focused on our project--his crew worked in cold conditions for 8-12 hours a day and even put in weekends to keep things moving. He was also punctual (yes, a contractor who is actually punctual), which we truly appreciated. Living by the water adds complexity, and Fernando handled all permitting and coordination with the conservation board seamlessly. Most importantly, the quality of the finished work is outstanding. If you're looking for a contractor you can trust to do things right, Fernando and N7 are exceptional.

N7 was one of the options Yelp recommended companies that responded when I submitted a project through their "Projects" section. This meant that going with the company even had a guarantee backed satisfaction. To further ease concerns about making the right choice, when speaking with Fernando who owns N7, he was very helpful to provide references to reach out to, examples of past projects, and links to his website and work. He was able to come out rather quickly to survey the land and get a better understanding of the project. Communication was strong not only throughout the initial phase of being provided a quote and deciding to move forward with N7, but also throughout the project itself. Fernando was great at reviewing all questions related to the contract and is willing to be flexible per individual household needs on timing and even payments. We were adding a second floor deck with roof off of a room converting a window to a door and also some stone landscaping work for a patio underneath the deck. Upon agreeing to move forward with N7, we entered a phase of waiting for appropriate permits. During this time, Fernando was great at ensuring he is gathering the right materials for the project to kick off construction as soon as the permits are approved. And that is exactly what happened. Fernando and his team showed up early and worked efficiently throughout the length of the project. They even took shifts for lunch so someone was working at all times. The team also worked on Saturday's to ensure the project remained on schedule. Everyone was so friendly and my dog loved them all too. Fernando will work with you throughout the project should something need to be changed or is not to your liking. When we didn't like the door selected for our project, he was flexible to help us select and obtain the desired door. The only small issue we had was from some of the outsourced parts of the project. The individual chosen for inside work of wall repair and painting from the window to door conversion did have personal issues arise causing him to miss days he was supposed to arrive. We obviously understand things come up, but he didn't effectively communicate that to us or Fernando. That is out of Fernando's control though. And when the original team set to do the patio stone work backed out, Fernando quickly found an alternative group who was also friendly, efficient, and did beautiful work. Overall, I am very impressed with Fernando and N7 Construction. We will definitely be using them for future projects and recommend the company for your needs as well.

Working with Masonworks has been a roller coaster. They are very, very good at the masonry aspect,…read morebut we had a negative experience with everything outside of the excellent stone walls and patio they built for us. They have built beautiful flat stone walls for us in our front and back yards. We were very impressed with them after the first job they did for us in our front yard a few years ago, so we did not even look at other companies when we wanted to spruce up our backyard this year. The garden walls they built in the backyard were once again beautiful. However, as a gardener, I was disappointed and frustrated by the following things: - Our contract included 50/50 loam compost for the new garden beds. During the job, we caught them filling the beds with the grass they had pulled up from our old lawn and asked them to stop doing that. - When I went to start planting, I found that the garden beds had only a layer of new soil but that my shovel quickly hit a lot of big rocks and uncovered old soil, debris, and trash. - They completely trampled and destroyed my established perennial garden, which was located in a garden bed above where the new beds were built. They also broke several pavers in a little garden path I had and removed them without replacing them. - They recommended microclover for my lawn and seeded it for us as part of the contract, but it grew in quite spotty despite us maintaining it properly with daily waterings. I contacted them about the first issue and their initial response was to tell me that the stones I was finding were part of the wall construction - this was not the case. They had someone come out to take a look and concluded that the soil did need to be replaced, which they finally did. It is much better now, though I still have found some large stones in it. However, in the process of solving that issue, they caused the second one - many of the perennials that my mother and I had worked to plant over the past four years were totally destroyed. They offered me a credit to compensate for the loss, or the option to have them reinstall new flowers, but by that point I just didn't want them near my garden anymore so accepted the credit. I didn't bother contacting them about the spotty lawn - I threw down some grass seeds yesterday to try and fill in the gaps. While I appreciated that they did eventually take steps to resolve the issues, I found it quite frustrating to have to keep reaching out just to get them to do what they really should have done in the first place. They never did a final walkthrough as I've seen other contractors do. No apology for destroying my garden. They have a Benjamin Franklin quote, "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" - I definitely felt some of that bitterness throughout this process. My conclusion is that they are really excellent masons but do not understand or respect gardens. If you hire them, be prepared to have to deal with that.

They were incredibly quick (responding within the first 45 mins of my Yelp request ) to respond when I discovered a water leak coming from outside. Since the source wasn't obvious (potentially an ice dam, roof issue, etc.), I really appreciated how quickly and thoroughly they assessed the situation. They were able to identify both how far the water had spread inside and pinpoint the exact source of entry from outside. Once the issue was identified, they moved fast to fix it properly. After repairing the exterior source, they took extra precautions inside, treating the affected area to prevent any potential mold, installing new insulation, replacing the ceiling and smoothing everything out, and finishing with a clean paint job. You'd never know there had been an issue as it was repaired well. Jean, in particular, was fantastic to work with. He was very accommodating to my schedule, acted with urgency throughout the entire process, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. He clearly explained the plan, the reasoning behind each step, and made sure I felt confident that the problem was fully resolved. Overall, a smooth, professional, and high-quality experience from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to use Trust Contractors again.
