Since it was wintertime, my skin was SUPER dry and flaky. My treatment focused on hydration with a light chemical peel to slough off dead skin and a super hydrating mask. My esthetician also performed light extractions to remove buildup around my nose and chin. After the 30 minutes, my skin was GLOWING. Not surprising, since this is Glowbar, after all! I was smiling from ear to ear for DAYS. Plus, the space is gorgeous. Super light, open, and airy. I love the dedicated wash bar and the treatment rooms. A facial at Glowbar is $80. Before going into the little cubby room for my facial, I washed my face with the Glowbar Expert Cleanser and patted my skin dry. I had a facial with Gabriela. We had great conversation and she was very efficient about my facial while being attentive. She asked me about my skin concerns and got to work! She used a toner, then did a chemical peel to address skin congestion and applied warm towels gently on my face about 3 times throughout the service. She also did a softening peel for my skin congestion, used the cavitation device very gently and performed a couple of extractions. Afterwards, she used a cooling mask, an LED mask, the high frequency facial wand, and then finished with a moisturizer and EltaMD Clear tinted sunscreen. It was really nice. This facial is good for people with limited time. My skin definitely glowed upon leaving, partially due to the EltaMD spf (and the facial). Within a day or two, the inflammation from extractions went down and by day 3 my skin looked so smooth. I have wanted to come back but acknowledge this is a treat for me.
