I offered to find an alternate tutoring location once the assessment was completed but asked that they conduct the assessment since we waited TWO MONTHS. Michael Jordan refused and proceed to email me, blaming me for not reviewing a map on his website. He was flippant and rude to the point where I had to ask him not to email me again. The person that referred me to him said they would NEVER recommend this company to anyone ever again. If I could rate "zero" stars, I would. Found the most amazing SAT tutor later.

She has already made significant progress in math (now above grade level!) and is making solid gains in reading as well. She was a year behind in reading and is steadily catching up. When we did the trial class, I was skeptical because it just looked like a bunch of kids sitting around on computers. However, we decided to give it a try due to reasonable cost, no long term commitment, no assigned homework and a spot-on assessment of my daughter's needs at the end of the trial class. I've been very pleased so far. The sessions are highly individualized, and she is exposed to many math concepts that she hasn't even done in school yet. The staff give feedback after each session, and the director does a one-on-one written progress update every two months. This is extremely helpful in tracking progress against state academic standards and grade level performance and in identifying strengths and weaknesses. The staff are all very friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Explore Horizons Frisco.

Yes,…read moreit's expensive, but my 4 year old went from inconsistently identifying the numbers 0-9, and the letters of the alphabet, to being able to identify all the letters, their sounds, numbers up through 100, and now we're working on being able to write them legibly, and early reading concepts. I definitely attribute a lot of it to the daily homework that they assign, so you have to do them with the kid, but it's their process of teaching / daily work that has brought her so far so fast.
