Repair man came to my house to fix my LG refigerator, He wrenched on the door and got it almost right but still a half inch from being level. He told me LG should send me a new one since he couldn't fix it. Repair man then wrote it up as fixed which was completely condtradictory to what he told me? I called LG back and they sent him back to fix it again. This time with an attitude. He took pictures and wrote it up as Customer refuses to level the refidgerator which i told him repeatedly that i tried to do. I called in September and they told me they'd fix my turntable under warranty. So I sent it to them. I called a few times for updates. They always said they'd call back in a day but they never called once with an update. Finally in February I called for an update and they said they can't fix my turntable under warranty and he "was going to call me today". This is the worst customer service I've ever had. I can't thank this place enough for their service. When my Samsung TV went kaput, Samsung was ZERO help. It took 2 tickets (the first of which they closed without ever talking to me), and 3 phone calls before I finally got service scheduled. Samsung promises a 24 hour response time to their ticket inquiry. Each took 72 hours. I also asked Samsung if this TV had a reoccurring problem, and they said no. I come to find out that Gibson TV has fixed a number of the same problem, so strike two on Samsung. Once I got serviced scheduled, it was handed off to Gibson, and was smooth sailing from that point on. Monica e-mailed me first thing the very next morning, they had already ordered parts for what they believe the problem to be (even though Samsung told me it wasn't a common occurrence), and scheduled service for the following Tuesday. Gibson then had an automated service on Monday eve call me to remind me of the appointment. In the morning, the service tech called to schedule a block of time, which was from 9-10am. He arrived at 9:20, was greeted friendly by my two pooches, and fixed the TV in about 1/2 hour. I can't thank Gibson enough for their outstanding service! read more

I called to request service about my 75 inch Samsung TV. The screen is normal on the Left Side, and dark on the right side. Their website said that they do "In-home" repairs, but told me that "it sounds like a back-light" problem and that I would have to bring the television in. The rapair man came to my house and asumed I needed a mother board for my TV. Never even took the back off of TV to actually check what might have been wrong. Told me you can no longer get a mother board for this TV, not knowing what actually was wrong with the TV. Then charged me $100.00. Not that that was wrong of him. What was wrong is that he did nothing. I still dont know what is really wrong with my TV and the repairman could'nt know either without taking the back of TV off and checking. I had them do work on a Pioneer Open Reel Deck. They tried to charge me to replace a belt that was replaced two months earlier. The tape heads were supposed to be aligned, but you can hear side two, while playing side one. Maybe high end gear like this isn't in their wheelhouse.... read more

I took my Samsung laptop here last spring when Best Buy determined that it was a loose charging port. They re-soldered it as a repair. No big deal except maybe it would have been better to replace it? Moving on - service was incredibly slow and I was receiving e-mails from multiple contacts. Streamline your communication. About 10 to 12 days later, I received a call that the repair was complete and I could pick it up. I wish I would have tested it at the shop because once I returned home, IT DID NOT CHARGE. I drove back and told them about it, and another 5 days later, I was called in to pick it up. Stupid me falling for the apologies and obvious embarrassment of the clerk (and being in an incredible hurry) took it home. Later that night, AGAIN it did not charge! I went back and was clearly pissed. It was repaired again (for a third time.) Three weeks of this crap. But the fun doesn't stop there. Flash forward to now (roughly 6 months later). I'm having the same issues as before. At least I learned and did not take it back to ABL, right? Well just now I received word from the repair tech I am NOW using and he asked me who did the previous repair. I told him ABL and he sent me photos of my scratched up motherboard, citing the previous repair as unprofessional and awful. Do not take your electronics to this chop shop. They will take vast amounts of your time AND money and not even repair it correctly. I wouldn't take a dying dog that I hated here to put it to sleep. If I could give zero (or even negative stars) I would. The fact that I am the first person to write a review on this place perhaps speaks volumes as to their professional status. I am not a vindictive or uneducated pissed off customer. I also take very good care of my things - especially electronics. This place dropped the ball big time. Take your expensive and valuable goods somewhere else. Heck, I'd trust a Craigslist 'repair tech' over this facade of an establishment. read more

I had a defective Onkyo receiver. I took it to a local repair shop but they were unable to resolve the issue. I contacted Onkyo and they had me ship it to ABL. A few days after my receiver was delivered to ABL they emailed me a summary of their repair and the status of my receiver. They shipped it back to me and I haven't had any issues with the receiver since. Really happy with ABL and highly recommend them if your electronics need repair. read more

Because the technician took my speaker rip the cone off and wrinkled the voice coil when I asked him not to repaired them I would refoam them myself I went in the pick up the pair that I had repaired that's what he handed me a hand full of crap in the box(sub) just to have them refoamed. I took my g 5700 sansui there about a year-and-a-half two years ago do work for you. After they fixed it still no sound had to drive it back there from Mount Clemens they had it overnight told me it was fixed brought it home the balance knob was loose as a goose I just thought to myself $300 I just spent and I took the thing home twice and had problems and you would think they would have cleaned it up the numbers and the lens at that price then I took asurround sound to them receiver told me no problems with it I brought it home four days later the sound ship blew out in it charged me $90 I wish the transistor clinic was open they blew the store out of water not only in prices but service and stood behind her stuff now I got to pay someone to tighten up my sansui knob on my receiver and I got to pay eruptor go company to put a sound chip in my surround sound receiver that they charge me $90 to tell me there was nothing wrong with it and like I said five days later and blew out doing the same thing cutting in and out read more

I can't say enough about Gibson repair. Their customer service is friendly and knowledgable, their technicians know what they're doing and they get things done in a timely manor. Gibbons is the only authorized Velodyne subwoofer repair service in Michigan and they got my HGS 18 working like new. All this and at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for. read more

AVOID!! Gibson's TV. STARLITE is a few miles away, and check out is free. Much like Joe Beck (google review below) , Samsung sent Gibson's out for a DLP chip recall. After tech installed chip (in record time) , he realized he left some screws out. UUUTTT OOOHHH! Then he proceeds to take the 2010 50" Samsung apart again, (trying to beat his old record time), to install screws. **I now suspect these were screws that secure new DLP chip to DMD board. Read on. Also like Joe Beck (google review below) , within 3 weeks, the TV began shutting off by itself within an hour. Then a 1/2 hour ,then 10 mins. , then 5 mins. WTH??? F's coming later. READ on. So I took it back to Gibson's and paid the $25 dollar ck. out, even though they recently worked on it. After 2 days, I CALLED THEM. The tech explained, (in broken English on a bad phone system) , there is a problem with my bulb and they can replace it for $270. WTH??? F's coming soon I'm a patient person. READ ON. I told him "it is a 1 month old ELECTRFIED bulb, with a warranty". He gave me mumbo jumbo BS about how I need to use a "Samsung" bulb. So I pick it up. Electrified, exchanged the bulb with no problems, but it took 10 days shipping. GUESS WHAT??? YEA Same problem. NOW WTF??? Done with these CLOWNS! Called Starlite, they said, bring it in, there is no charge for check out. Really!!!! So I did. They called me next day, and said i had bad circuit in DMD board, which the DLP chip plugs into. They had part in stock and done tomorrow for $220. Really?? Remember the screws? Re: see internet videos "Check pin alignment and push Chip directly downward onto DMD board, locking in with screws. Failure to align and secure could create excessive heat causing circuit failure. WTF????????? Not, hammer in left out screws , without checking loose DLP chip for secure alignment. "GIBSON's way". I retuned to Gibson's . asked BOB why their estimate was $270 for a $170 bulb and $50 replace and clean =220. It would have cost me $170 bulb $50 replace & clean $50 rip off charge & $25 ck. out =$295. WTF WTF WTF??? & still broke TV. BOB had no answer. Then BOB bashed Starlite saying he can't believe they replaced new DMD @$220, stating his cost was $159.00 + markup & labor. Really? BOB ? Bashing? I would certainly not recommend ADL to anyone, I feel like I was severely overcharged and lied to. When my Yamaha stagepass PA system suddenly stopped working while I was using it I took it the amp to ADL. after describing the symptoms.(No output from speakers) I left a $100 deposit for the diagnoses. After a couple of days I got a call from the tech who was working on the unit telling me that the unit worked and asking if there coulld be a problem with the speakers. At this point I realized that the problem was with a bad speaker connection that showed up when I used another amp (I did not realize that this bad connection would cut off both speakers but the tech informed me that there was a safety switch in the unit that did just that.). The tech asked if I wanted the unit tested further but I informed him that I was quite sure that was what the problem was. At no point did the tech inform me of any tests that he had run on the unit (in my opinion he did the correct thing, when he could not replicate the symptoms described on the work order he called the customer). When I came to pick up the unit I was informed that I was to be charged the entire $100 and that the unit had been tested inside and out. I would have quite willing to pay a fair amount for ABLs time but since from all indications they did nothing but plug the unit in and call me when it worked I feel like $100 is a bit steep. Also I appears to me that they lied to me when they told me that the unit was comprehensively tested as the tech did not inform me of any tests and I told him that no testing was needed. read more
