I replaced the A/C with a larger unit, but the original maintained a more stable temperature than this new one. The day after installation, I called him in the morning because my house was at 61 degrees. He told me to turn my heater up to 85 degrees on all levels and wait an hour, but instead of increasing, the temperature went down. He could send someone in a week or so. My installer was on vacation. He didn't seem to believe me until I showed him the temperature with my portable heater. He then sent someone over, who said he needed to set it up, as it looked like it wasn't programmed. The installers left dirty handprints on the walls both inside and outside. I don't usually complain, but when someone is rude and condescending, it's important to let others know who they are dealing with. Oh one last thing. He told me I needed to have a damper replaced and he'd send me a quote. 6 weeks later I still hadn't received quote so I asked again. He sent one. See for yourself how he treats his customers. Mind you- brand new handler and outside unit. Quote $2,100 to install a $59 part. I called several other A/C installers and they said anywhere from 100-150 to do the same thing.

A technician came and said the compressor was defective from factory, but we would have to pay $725.00. Next day a technician came and replaced it, although no paperwork was left with us proving the compressor had been replaced. I Wrote a review, but the pic of the filter I had sent was not the one that it was used to respond to my review. 2 months later a/c stopped again and I called again and I was told our contract had been cancelled and they would not send anyone again. I had to find someone else who came and fixed something in the inside. A few days ago the outside unit started to do a rattling high noise and had to call someone to check it out; the compressor was on "its last leg" And we were advised to replace the whole outside unit, which took him the whole day and the thermostatic valve had to be replaced also. The biggest problem: "a 3.5 handler with a 3.0 condensor had been installed" which had to be adjusted to proper airflow! The cost: $3,500.00!!

He wore a mask and went straight to work. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Fixed the air conditioner in less than an hour. Only charged for his time since it wasn't a major issue. That is a daunting task, but given that the #1 cause of equipment failure seems to be the install, this process is hugely important. Once I narrowed it down to 4 providers, I got the one that I thought I wanted to do business with out for a service visit on the old unit. This would be a small sample of how they act as a company. What I found was shocking in today's world! My service visit was scheduled with Ryan. He is a rock star! He showed on time, was presentable, able to communicate, knowledgeable, professional, clean....I could keep going. Ryan is a huge asset for Air McCall. I can't understate how uncommon this level of professionalism is in this day and age. great job Ryan! Now we move on to the Sales part. I had a lot of questions, many genuine, and some designed to see the response. Rob took the time to help me navigate the equipment choices, and find the best value. He went over and above working with me to make sure i was comfortable with the decision. Great Job! So now the installation...Great care was taken to install the equipment properly. The condenser had a dent, so they got a new unit out. Do it right! The builder A/C unit was a disaster. Air McCall spent considerable time and effort to correct the original installation issues. The finished product is night and day from the original. This was a very professional installation. What about price? The price that I paid was not the primary issue. I got the best value. There was an option with a different provider that was almost $2000 less, but Rob helped me understand the true differences between the options in a way that was more informative than self- serving. In the end, I got a fair price on a great Carrier unit. Conclusion: I have already recommended Air McCall to the neighbors. I look forward to a great relationship with Air McCall.
