A Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I recently…read morescheduled a routine maintenance service with All Comfort through their website, selecting March 20th as the appointment date. Shortly after submitting the request, I received a call from the owner, which I initially took as a positive sign of customer service. I explained that my unit was not cooling as efficiently as before and likely needed cleaning, servicing, and possibly some refrigerant. They offered to come out immediately, which I accepted. Upon arrival, the technician made immediate comments about the unit's rust and age before even inspecting it. While the unit is 10 years old, it is a Bryant system designed to last between 15 and 20 years. While I expected the possibility of some repairs, what transpired next was extremely concerning. Misleading Pricing & Sales Tactics The owner informed me that adding refrigerant would cost $130, which I approved. Later, the technician stated he had added 5 pounds of refrigerant, and I soon received another call from the owner stating that the total cost was $600. It turned out that the charge was $130 per pound, a detail that was not made clear in the initial conversation. To make matters worse, I was then told that they would waive the $600 fee if I agreed to replace my unit for $7,000. The replacement unit they recommended was a RunTru 4-ton 15 SEER system, which, after a quick check, I found to be an entry-level system with questionable longevity. Given this, I requested additional quotes for higher-quality units, but I have yet to receive them. Questionable Payment Practices When it was time to pay, the owner told me he would write down my credit card information. This is a major PCI compliance violation, as no reputable business should be manually recording customer payment details. Instead, I requested an invoice so I could pay electronically. At around 3 PM, I received the invoice but had not paid it immediately, as I had work and family responsibilities. By 8 PM the same evening, the owner called me asking why I hadn't paid yet. While I understand timely payments are important, calling just five hours later--on the same day of service--felt excessive and unprofessional. Poor Technical Execution & Dismissive Attitude During the service, the technician encountered an issue while disconnecting the refrigerant line. A valve (possibly a ball valve) got stuck open, resulting in 10+ seconds of refrigerant leaking before he could reconnect the line. When I raised concerns, both the technician and the owner brushed it off as "not a problem", which did not inspire confidence. Additionally, despite this being a routine maintenance visit, the technician failed to clean the drain line, the inside unit, or perform any actual maintenance, which was the primary reason I had called them in the first place. Declining Service Quality & Ownership Concerns I have used this company for years and never had an issue before, but it is clear that something has changed. From what I have read in other reviews, it appears the previous owner may have retired, and the business has since deteriorated under new management. If true, it certainly explains the aggressive sales tactics, questionable pricing transparency, and overall unprofessionalism I experienced. Finally, after posting a review about my experience, the owner called me again. When I answered, I said "Hello" three times before he finally mumbled "Sorry" and hung up. Final Thoughts This company has gone from a reliable HVAC provider to a high-pressure sales operation with poor customer service and concerning business practices. Lack of pricing transparency ($130 was quoted but not disclosed as per pound). Attempted upsell on a low-quality system while waiving the refrigerant charge. Security and compliance concerns (writing down credit card details). Poor service execution (allowing refrigerant to leak and not performing actual maintenance). Unprofessional follow-up behavior (repeated calls about payment and a bizarre post-review call). I have paid the $600 invoice, but I will never use this company again. I strongly advise others to stay away and look elsewhere for HVAC services.

Been working with them for years They came over to do a…read moremaintence to personal and rental unit they stated that my both my capacitors are not work 100% My personal unit should be okay for a year or so My rental unit should be replaced They said although they don't believe it's under Warrenty they will not charge for the part but they need to charge me $175 for labor I tried to reason with them thinking it would take 15 minutes and that's $700 an hour Turns out the $20 part was on the truck and it took 5 minutes to replace that $2,100 an hour They refused to bill me and demanded cash or credit card on the spot Since it's a commercial unit I said they need to bill me so I can pay them thru the checking account and they said that that was unacceptable They said no problem they will remove the part And asked me not to call them again Meanwhile I believe they owe me one more maintence in 6 months Guess I'll be looking for another small local Havc maintenance company How sad I really like working with a small family business
