First replace the manager. The store is going through a reset and you have to dodge the employees moving mechandise. Also i am getting tired dodging the green meanies. Who 98% of the time are rude anyway. Plus things the store used to stock are no longer brought in yet the item was out many time in the past. Now they have taken away 8 to 10 premium parking spaces for pick up customers. As seniors they are causing us to walk farther to get into the store for people that do even enter the building. Why does it seem that stock is so bad in this store? I find empty shelves, browning greens, browning bananas, old garlic and limited supplies of other produce including can goods and other staples. Whenever I go to Giant, this is my go to Giant. To start, there is plenty of parking.They usually have what I'm looking for, and a decent number of self checkouts making the trips very quick and efficient. The Bakery and Deli are amazing, as they have the Boars Head ham which they do not have at many other stores. They also have a coinstar that I like to use which is a great incentive for me. The employees are polite and great to talk too as well. Overall, it's one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. read more

This store has had a never-ending problem with empty shelves/ poor re-stocking when an entire shelf is empty, and the LONGEST wait at a Deli on this Planet, WELL BEFORE Covid-19. Covid has provided the perfect cover to get even worse. I say cover, because I can drive a few minutes to another Supermarket, and ALWAYS find Jumbo eggs, pints of light cream, Barber Chicken Kiev, Campbells bean soup, and about another 50) items that Giant never seems to have. As far as the Deli, if there are two or more customers in line, I walk away. The attitude among most (But not all) the clerks is that "I'm bothering you, and I hope you don't want anything else, 'cause I'm busy doing anything else but slicing cold cuts" On the other hand, my other store has plenty of clerks, NO WAIT (EVER) and they SMILE, and treat you like they appreciate your business. In fact, they always show you how thick or thin they're slicing, so there's never any surprises, when you get home and discover 12 slices in a pound of ham. If this store wasn't a few feet from my house, I would NEVER go there again. It is SO frustrating trying to shop, and NEVER getting most of the basic items on the shopping list/ always passing the Deli/ and playing "Casino" games of chance as to what will be out of stock next. read more

The canned beans were not stocked or organized. The creamers were out of stock. Cheese and flour were basically out of stock. Kombucha was out of stock... I suspect that they're not putting the products out on the shelves or not doing so in a timely manner. I think they hire an outside company to do the shelf displays, but I'm leaving 2 stars because of the low stock read more

Giant Direct Pickup- this department is even better with the addition of some new people. Giant has a text reminder on their App that also works as an alert to staff when you arrive for pickup. Professionalism of staff is good. Staff is friendly and brings your food out in a timely manner. read more

I come here frequently for groceries since its close. Usually its decent, however I've seen mold on berries and fruits. Also last week the avocados looked really small like they were picked too early and they tried to bunch them up in a package of 3 hoping people wouldn't notice? We noticed. AND they never have vanilla cupcakes in the bakery, what's up with that??...other than that Its alright for a grocery store. read more

Today was a nightmare day to food shop. Montgomery County began closing schools, gyms, pubic gatherings etc due to the coronavirus at approximately 2:09pm. I, like everyone else in my area, rushed to Giant In Hatfield PA to stock up on food and essentials. The parking lot was full, the aisles were crammed and people were fighting to get in line. Good thing Management stepped in at Giant to make announcements and they quickly set up two lines for check out. One from the bakery and one from produce with someone to guide people to an open check out line. Somehow they managed to open every single lane available. It was still a wait but in a controlled and pleasant environment. I have always liked shopping at the Hatfield Giant the best, but now I can say that I am very proud of how they handled this emergency. Top notch from management down to all other employees. read more

This is an ok location. It's pretty clean and the selection is getting better. The staff is usually friendly. I mainly buy produce, and it's not the freshest from here, especially the organic selections. I've gone in and found them to be mostly out of everything though, so it seems they aren't getting in fresh produce in the first place, or aren't rotating properly. I've been trying to avoid Giant recently because of this. Not that anyone should buy grocery store sushi, but the shipped in stuff they get now is absolutely disgusting. The weekends are a bit of a problem with this store - teens working who haven't been trained on bagging. I bring my own bags and they'll try to only put two or three items in it. I spend more time trying to teach them how to do it. Today the cashier double bagged a BOX OF TEA. With my mostly empty reusable bags. So, yea. Overall it's an ok store. One of the better Giant locations. Decent dry goods. I'll go when I need to and shop elsewhere when possible. With Wegmans open though they really need to step up the service, and fresher produce would make a huge difference. read more

The only reason I shop here on occasion is because it's closer to where I live than the ShopRite on Forty Foot Rd. (which is a much better store). Giant tends to push their own brand and the selection of name brand products is pretty limited. The produce isn't very fresh and I would never buy the meat. I've tried it a few times in the past and it's really bad. The worst is the deli line. There are never enough people staffing it and the wait is horrendous. The deli staffers are also a pretty miserable group of people. ShopRite is cleaner, has better lighting and a much better selection. read more

I don't think I've ever disliked the staff of a place this much. I tend to shop later at night because of my working schedule. One night I went and the cashier was extremely rude to a man and I just left out of anger. Another night, I went back to hear two male employees screaming at each other. I was actually pretty scared so I left. The times that I have gone during the day, the staff was polite, the lines were a bit long, but not too bad, and the place was clean. The prices are fair. That's the only reason I'd go back. read more

This is a review about Giant's online delivery/pickup service. They are not yet into this decade. They rely upon the antiquated - and expensive - Peapod service. You cannot order items from their store. I found that I had to order a $60 minimum AND pay a fee AND I was limited to four morning pickup times (which is all they ever have) AND it was two days until it was ready AND they only had about 60% of what I wanted! So....used Walmarts pickup service 4 minutes down the road. The difference: Walmart is FREE pickup, half the minimum $ required, pickup anytime in about 12 hours AND they had everything (which came to more than $60 anyway). Giant is NOT in the online world yet - AVOID! read more

The prices here seen very fair, and it is always very clean. I think the best thing for me is that you earn points every time you shop here and all those points go towards saving money at their gas station. For every $100 spent, you get 10 cents off the gallon. The points only last for a certain amount of time, but it's usually a couple of months and after a few months of weekly grocery shopping the savings really add up. The people who work here are usually very nice. The cashiers on the weekends are usually high school age and occasionally seem like they'd rather not be there, but I can't really blame them, knowing they're working on the busiest days and probably experiencing all kinds of customers, rude ones included. The weekday cashiers are really pleasant. I often see one of the managers checking on customers. I'm not sure what his name is, but he seems very hands on, and I can't remember being to another grocery store and seeing any managers as often. read more
