If I'm wrong I truly do apologize for miss reading her. But one should check their government documents before assuming. You were greet with respect and I was told that you would not be able to help me today.

From the "Sometimes Yelpers Be Basic" Review series…read more.. I love fried chicken. I always have and probably always will. I don't eat it all the time since it's not the healthiest food out there, but I have been known to indulge every so often. Fans of this treat have their favorite purveyor to satisfy their deep fried craving. Some people swear by KFC, Popeyes, Church's, while other's are more new school choosing Chik-Fil-A, Raising Cane's, or Zaxby's. While I've sampled some iteration of "fried chicken" at all of these places, do you know where my favorite fried chicken in the DMV is prepared? The Giant Food deli. Sounds crazy, I know; and even I wouldn't have believed it until I picked up an 8-piece order (I prefer the dark meat) and became a believer. This "conversion," if you will happened in early-2021 during the pandemic and almost purely by accident. I actually drove to KFC and then to Popeyes and couldn't get any chicken due to labor and supply chain issues (you remember those fun times, right?). So I popped in my local Giant Food and saw that an 8 piece order was on sale for $5.99 . I figured, the price was right and the food smelled good, so what did I have to lose? And when I got home and had my first bite, it was an enlightenment. The skin was perfectly GBD (golden/brown/delicious) and crispy, and the meat was moist and seasoned with just enough salt and spices. While I was only intending to consume 1-2 pieces and save the rest for the next day, I "may have" had 3-4 pieces since it was so tasty. As for any leftovers, I find popping them into an air fryer at 300 for about 10-15 minutes is perfect; an oven at 325 for about the same time also works well, but the skin won't be as crispy unless you use the broiler feature for the last 5 minutes of reheating. When I went back the next week to get another order, I was chatting with the guy at the deli who explained that all of the fried chicken is hand dipped and battered in each store, and fried constantly throughout the day. Explains why it taste so good. But admittedly, the trick is you have to time your visit when the chicken is fresh out of the fryer. Usually most of the deli's put their first batches into the fryer around 11:30am, so it's done at 12:15-12:30pm for the lunch rush / and then again around 4:30pm so the next batch is ready around 5:30pm. These are approximate times, so I'd check with your local Giant deli for their preparation schedule. As of this review, an 8-piece container is $7.99, which is still a heck of a good deal. There are usually combo deals available, where with the purchase of an 8-piece, you can also add a few "heat and serve" sides, and have a meal for less than $20.

Like many regular shoppers at Lidl, I signed up for the app to get the discounts on my purchases everytime I go and shop at Lidl, anywhere, simply by entering my phone number at checkout. Well, when I entered my phone number last weekend, the discount was not applied because the Lidl app was recently upgraded to Lidl PLUS which REQUIRES one to SIGN UP AGAIN for LIDL PLUS! I asked the cashier why didn't the upgrade automatically do it when my contact information remained the same. Made sense, right? Wrong, not to Lidl! I had to sign up AGAIN! At this point, I was already so godzilla-like annoyed and irritated (cashier was no help at all!), I left my groceries in a huff on the checkout belt and walked out the store! The whole thing did not make sense! The loyalty points and rewards are laughable and insulting - 1 for every $1. The staff here are very kind and welcoming, and they really try to help their customers find exactly what they are looking for at a very fair price. Honestly, I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers have mentioned in regards to the lack of customer service, but our experience was a positive one! We picked up some pork belly and galbi, and they both were SO GOOD! The meats also come with small bags of thinly-sliced scallions, which was totally an added bonus! This is not an exact translation of the above, but I just want to express my appreciation again to WOW (Centreville location) for a truly impressive presentation of Korean food for my grandson's 1st birthday party. I chose the set menu, which was extremely convenient. I knew I could count on the food being delicious as I have ordered their weekly set menu in the recent past (roughly 4 servings included with a different menu each week). The food arrived ahead of schedule. WOW also prepared a warmer set so that the galbi would be warm when it was served. All the serving utensils were provided and the labeled containers were set out on the table by their staff. I left the dessert portion to the discretion of the owner and she matched her selection to the occasion. Everything was not only aesthetically pleasing (I received lots of compliments and questions about where to order) but also the food brought back childhood memories of my own mom's cooking - that was the best! My experience at the pharmacy yesterday was ridiculous though. I went to my doctor for an 11:45 appointment. I had the flu and bronchitis had set in. My doctor electronically sent over 3 prescriptions at noon when I left her office in Fairfax. I arrived at Giant about 12:15 and went directly to the pharmacy to make sure they filled them right away, as sometimes when they come in electronically the pharmacy sets it aside until I come into ask for it. They said they didn't have them. I called my doctor's office. All 3 had gone through at noon. I went back to the pharmacy. The guy said they had it and it would be 15 minutes. I picked up a few other things and went back to wait for my number to be called. It never was. 35 minutes later I asked if it was ready. He gave me one prescription. I asked where the other 2 were. I was told "oh well sometimes they take a few hours to come in" They managed to find my antibiotics prescription then and filled that one. Still didn't "get" the third. I took my 2 prescriptions and left. I spent an hour in total, while ill, because electronic prescriptions take several hours? It seems the point of electronic prescription is that they are, well, pretty much instant. I don't particularly buy that they take several hours... Anyway, I'll never let my doctor send them an electronic prescription again as there is either a problem with the system or the person who was checking it. They called me later to tell me the third prescription "showed up" and my husband picked it up on his way home from work. It was an inhaler - I needed it to help me breathe. So the several extra hours waiting were delightful.
