After driving a few miles from my hotel without seeing any of the other major brands of drug stores I happened to find this little gem standing all alone. There were a few cars scattered around the dimly lit parking lot but the interior was void of any customers, I quickly found the cold medication aisle and scooped up a box of the only cold remedy that I find helpful the drop drop fizz fizz cold and flu formula, a bag of Halls triple smoothing action cough drops and a giant bottle of water to complete the recipe for a quick cure. The staff was hanging out at the checkout counter since the store was already set for closing and looked as good as it did on opening day -this place was immaculate. Check out was smooth and easy with a friendly hello, goodbye and have a nice evening.

The pharmacist who looks overworked and burned out, I was able to yell to her. You don't have congestion and pseudoephedrine together back there? She said you mean Mucinex D yes I said. This is a single store that is indicative of what will be the eventual demise of the company, doing nothing to raise the image Walmart has sunk to. Best Buy is across the street, target and Kohl's are within half a mile. All three provide a better shopping experience at essentially the same or better prices, particularly with the rollout of Walmart's dynamic pricing models. It has to be said, a company that for decades has blathered on about American values but doesn't even give the pretense of stocking American made goods over Chinese junk is a company that has sold its soul. Add to that the gross negligence of retaining a workforce almost wholly dependent on federal subsidies and welfare for subsistence, and it's easy to see that this company will never manage to survive. I'll smile when this store's Spirit Halloween moment comes. Hopefully sooner than later.
