I have been using this Walgreens pharmacy for several years, and unfortunately, my experience has…read morebeen consistently frustrating. Between excessively long lines, prescription issues, medications being out of stock, conflicting information from staff, and extremely long phone hold times, there is almost always a problem. When calling, it routinely says there are "2 callers ahead of you," yet the wait can be unbelievably long.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this has reached a point where I can no longer justify continuing to use this pharmacy. Today, I underwent major hip surgery, and I have a text confirmation showing that my doctor called in my prescriptions at 12:30 p.m. It is now nearly 8:00 p.m., and we are still waiting with little to no communication or clear answers. Having to chase down prescriptions for post-surgical recovery after an already exhausting day is incredibly frustrating.
I understand that pharmacies get busy, mistakes happen, and unexpected issues arise. I also recognize that pharmacy staff may be overworked or understaffed and under a tremendous amount of pressure. If that is the case, I genuinely sympathize with the employees who are trying to manage those demands. However, these problems have been happening consistently for years, and something clearly needs to change.
This is not an isolated bad experience. It is a recurring pattern that has made something as necessary as picking up my monthly medications a source of stress. I dread dealing with this pharmacy because I never know what issue I will encounter next, whether it is a prescription problem, an out-of-stock medication, conflicting information, or an unpleasant interaction.
Patients depend on their pharmacies for reliable service, accurate information, and timely access to their medications. I understand that delays can happen, but hours of waiting with little communication, especially when recovering from major surgery, are unacceptable. Whatever the underlying cause may be, this ongoing inconsistency is not sustainable for the patients who depend on this location.
After several years of repeated issues, I have finally reached my breaking point. I will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. I genuinely hope management takes a closer look at what is happening at this location, both for the sake of its customers and for the employees who may be struggling to keep up. No one benefits from a system that leaves both patients and staff frustrated, and customers deserve better than this.
