We absolutely love this place! The pizza is top notch, and it's always consistent. The staff is very friendly, and our pizza is always hot and delicious! Their stuffed pizza is great. They don't skimp on the toppings, and when they hand you the box, it feels like it weighs 5 pounds. The thin pizza is as equally as good. The sauce is perfect. Tangy and delicious. The only downfall is they don't deliver. But it never bothers us that we have to pick it up, because it's so good! read more

GREAT DELICIOUS PIZZA. I can see why this place is popular. We called in at 7pm for a pizza order and they said to pick up at 8:05pm. Ordered the classic pan pizza and cheesecake. When we got there, there were at least four other people waiting for their pizza. Crust was perfect and cheese and toppings were just delicious and mouth watering. They give a good amount of toppings on their pizzas. Their cheesecake was okay, I'll try the carrot cake the next time around. I highly recommend this place!! read more

They are my go-to pizza place in the neighborhood. The extra thin crust is the best. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff. Always ready when promised. Go once and I guarantee you will be as satisfied as I am. read more

Just ate up a ultra thin sausage and mushroom pizza. What a delicious blast from the past!!! They make their own sauce and sausage and it's PERFECT!!! Reminds me of those late night crispy pizza's my family ordered back in the early 1960's. Such a delicious meal! My only regret is I only have 3 pieces left over for tomorrow! Next time I MUST order a larger pizza!!! Such darn good yumminess! read more

We just moved to Wheaton from the Southwest Side of Chicago where great Pizza is plentiful. Giordonos is very close to our new home and figured they would be our new spot. The Pizza there is just ok, not as good as the one on Cicero near Midway, not bad but not good either. Giordanos also will have you waiting for a considerable time longer than the estimated time. Then we tried Gino's East, it was like a stale tortilla smothered in greasy cheese and sausage. If you want to over pay for a Jack's Frozen Pizza you'll love Ginos East. Seriously it's crap pizza at its worst, how one of the original Big 4 Chicago Pizza Franchises could be so garbage is an insult to Chicago. Being the Pizza lovers that we are, we refused to settle for Giordanos and decided to keep searching. I hit up Yelp and YouTube and Gianarios was recommended. The Pizza looked like Vito and Nick's /Palermos type of thin crust. So even though its several miles from our house and in a neighboring town, I was able to get there in 11 minutes. I showed up 5 minutes early because I miscalculated the time, the Pizza was ready promptly at the time I was told it would be in spite of it being extremely busy. The Pizza is great, as good as anything from the old neighborhood. The sauce and cheese is very flavorful, not bland like the other 2 mentioned. The toppings were great the crust was perfect and it's good I dont even want to try anywhere else because if it's not as good I'll be pissed I didn't order from Gianarios. If you're in the Wheaton/Winfield area or the Glen Ellyn/Lombard area I strongly suggest this place, I highly doubt you can find a better Pie in the area. read more

I tried this place because of all the awesome reviews, I was not disappointed! Gianorio's is my go-to for thin crust pizza! Their sauce is amazing and their toppings are always plentiful and tasty. A little bummed they don't deliver, but it's worth the drive. I have yet to try their deep dish or frozen pizzas, but I'm sure they're great too! Keep up the good work!! read more

Every one on here is right. Gionorio's is the best pizza around! End of story. And the desserts are out of this world. Great carrot cake! Great banana cream pie! I don't even like Red Velvet Cake, and I LOVE their Red Velvet Cake!!! You can not go wrong here. And on Wednesday they have great baked mostaccioli! It's so good!!! I've heard they're opening an actual sit-down restaurant in town. Can't wait for that!!! read more

When I delivered my son at central dupage hospital about a year ago my husband and I were starving and the hospitals dinner options were not appealing. We ordered deep dish from here It was the best deep dish pizza I've had. Even better than the most well known pizza chains in Chicago .... flash forward to today, it's 9:30 am and I'm currently admitted to CDH a year later and am patiently waiting till this place opens to place my order. It appears they don't do delivery anymore but I can't wait to send my husband to pick it up. It's the only highlight of being admitted to this hospital right now :) read more

OMG.....we are pizza snobs and trust me when I say that Gianarios Pizza is the BEST in town. We have been going here for many years. Owners are the best. read more

Love this place, not only is the pizza fantastic, they are generous with their ingredients, and the desserts are out of this world!

Best pizza around. We try others in the neighborhood but always go back. The staff always are friendly and appreciative of our buisness.

Gianorio's is the best!!!! I've lived in the Chicago area my entire life and I've eaten at my fair share of pizza places, but none of them come close to Gianorio's. My family is always so sad when they go on their two week vacation every summer, but I really like the fact that they are a family owned business that seems to do it because they love it, not because they are in it for the money. read more

We ordered a double dough pizza last week and it was ok. The young girl on the phone was very nice so this is why I'm giving this review a 4 because of the friendliness of the person who took the order. The pizza was just dough barely any sauce and cheese. Every bite was just dough. I know we ordered double dough but we have ordered double dough from other places and they know how to evenly coat the pizza with sauce and cheese so every bite is filled with flavor not just dough. I will try this place again and order something else next time maybe a thin crust or deep dish. read more

This is why we love Yelp. We just moved to the area, and wanted to find a local pizza place to try. Based on other yelpers, we tried Gianorios. It is fantastic! Just like other reviewers have said, Grandma literally works in the kitchen, she was making pizza dough the day we picked up the pizza. And oh, the pizza. It's wonderful. High quality toppings (we had a 6-topping combo, and a sausage/pineapple/garlic pizza, and a sausage/pepperoni), the sauce is sweet and not too acidic, and the crust is great. Just all around awesome pizza, first place we've found that we like better than Gino's East. And man, you really really have to get the Carrot cake, we will stop by after school now just to pick up some dessert. lastly, a few older reviews say cash only, but they DO now accept visa and mastercard. read more

After reading all of the reviews for the stuffed pizza, I will have to try it soon. I've only ever had thin crust at Gianorio's, and it has never disappointed in the many years I've been going. Mmmm pizza!!! read more

I have had pizza all over Chicagoland. Grew up in the city with Gino's, Uno's, Home Run Inn, Giordano's, etc. Have had pizza from every little place in the Western Suburbs and this place is hands down the best. i have had it for several of my parties and now people from 25 miles away come out here to pick up this pizza. I discovered this place when they first opened in 1988 and I had just moved about a mile away and have been going back ever since. In 24 years of pizza, every pizza has been fantastic. And believe me, that is alot of pizza to get right. A couple of weeks ago, had a taste testing party against Al's Pizza in Warrenville. Their pizza was really good, but Gianorio's was the unequivocal winner. Keep up the Good Work Guys. Also, love, love, love the Pepper and Egg sandwiches at the Downtown Deli. Put them on the menu for every Friday. Selene M. read more

Just ate there for the first time tonight. The pizza was as good as yelp said! We got a medium which was perfect for two big eaters.

This is the real deal pie. If I would tweak one thing, it'd be an ever so slightly crispier crust. But the sauce is killer and the cheese is generous and tastes fresh. If they have dessert left, you must try it! Banana cream pie and the turtle brownie are nomtastic. read more

In my opinion they are the best Pizza shop in the western suburbs. The sauce tastes home made and I appreciate the efficiency of the operation. Anytime I have guests over, this is the first place I think of and have received rave reviews!!. The ultra think crust with onions garlic and sausage is awesome. Just make you sure have a big stomach to eat the deep dish!! Recommend this place with zero hesitation as I have been here over at least 50+ times with not one bad experience. read more

Well, after my initial review, I decided to give Gianorio's a second chance. Good god was that a smart move! I made them repeat my order, so they got it right. When I grabbed my box of stuffed pizza, it was heavier than a phone book! When it came to the taste, it was incredible. The cheese is perfect, the sauce is amazing, and the pepperoni incredible. I'm not a big fan of the crust though, I still prefer Malnati's crust because it's buttery and they use corn meal. I will definitely be making Gianorio's one of my go-to joints for stuffed pizza. I'm glad I gave them a second chance, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering going! read more

Great pizza some of the best crust I have ever had! Pizza did cause a lot of heartburn in our house later on though! Really bad hours! So make sure you are not ordering to late. The hours are really only accommodating to the owners. We did get the wrong pizza last time we went there so we haven't gone back but it is always good! read more

Best pizza ever! I don't know how they do it. Have been ordering from them since the mid 90s. They always remember who you are when you walk in. Did I mention it's the best pizza ever?! read more

I was really excited because of all the reviews being so high. Ordered a regular crust half mushroom half sausage easy sauce. I thought that the sausage was of high quality and the mushrooms no problem there...however...light sauce should be for the whole pizza not just sections of it. Bit into a piece of mushroom and sauce spilled out upon my bite. I'm just not a fan of a lot of sauce and it should have been made properly. I also wasn't a fan of the amount of cheese on my pizza. Seemed light for the amount of money pizzas sell for here. Maybe I'll give them another shot in the future but to me it's not 5 stars. There are better options in the area. read more

I have to take off one star for no delivery option. It's pizza, sometimes I want to be lazy. Other than that, this place is awesome. Buffalo chicken pizza is amazing. Bacon great. Cheese top notch. Pretty much cannot go wrong here. I've tried some odd combinations and everyone still liked it. Making myself hungry now. If you live anywhere near here or even drive somewhat close on the way home, pickup some pizza and your family will love it. Update: tried their frozen pizzas! They are great. Haven't had any frozen pizza that has crust like that. Nice golden brown color and tastes great. They are a little small, but should suffice for two. Any more people or extra hungry, make two and have some leftovers for tomorrow. read more

The best pizza around!!! They also make a baked pasta that is super yummy!! The staff is always friendly. If I am correct it's family owned and operated! Keep up the good work guys!! read more

Had the deep dish and regular crust pizzas... The deep dish was fantastic, among the best deep dish I've ever had! The regular crust is also a winner, has a delightful crunch but not over doing it. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Their pizza is DELICIOUS. You get a lot for your money: recently ordered a 4 topping medium thin crust pizza at ~$20 and I swear the thing weighed over 10 lbs. My one critique is that the wait for a pizza is a little ridiculous at over 1:15 when I ordered on a Friday - might be because their pizza is in high demand! read more

EXCELLENT pizza! The first time I picked up our order from here I hadn't realized that they also had desserts available - but that was ok, because they've got some available when you pick up your pizza. The pizza itself is great - nice amount of cheese and toppings. When we moved to this area we just ordered from the closest pizza place - but after talking to several other Winfield residents, Gianorios was always mentioned as the place to get pizza. I definitely agree with the other posters that this is the best pizza in the area! read more

Crust is great , ingredients are fresh , only problem is sauce is a bit bland . Needs more spice or garlic or something . Really only tasted good with giardinera as a topping since it has some flavor to the sauce . read more

Don't know what has happened, as I had frequented this pizza place often, but got a pizza, cheese only, and it REEKED so bad of onion, I couldn't even eat it! They lost my business.... read more

Probably the best option in Winfield/Wheaton. VERY easy to miss this place due to its size (carry-out only) but don't pass it up. Great crust and even better sauce make this a staple for me. I recommend the regular crust pepperoni. The home-made lemon bars and brownies are a good palette cleanser. Credit not accepted. Thumbs up ! read more

Ordered a medium thin crust pepperoni pizza. There was a lot of cheese which I'm not a fan of. I thought the crust was soggy. Wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. I have since been told the deep dish is the way to go. So I will go back again. The service was excellent and I thought it was reasonable. read more

The very Best pizza in the Area ... have ordered several times and have never been disappointed.their hours are limited only possible shortcoming they may have , just means you have to act fast. read more

I have had Gianorios a few times since my 1st review, and its just as unbelievable and tasty. Honestly, hands down, the best pizza ever!!!!!

A friend visited us at CDH after welcoming our son into this world. She brought a pizza from here along with the most delicious home made sweets ever! The pizza was yummy and she raved about watching them make the pizza. Looking forward to going back even if it's just to pick up some home made goods :) Their lemon bars were to die for but honestly each treat was. Don't think I could chose a favorite! read more

New best pizza place for us. Had thin crust with sausage and calzones. Outstanding!

The best. Period. The sauce to cheese ratio is unrivaled. The jumbo red velvet cupcakes are nothing short of heavenly as well.

Maybe they don't deliver, but this is some of the best pizza I have ever had and well worth driving to pick it up. We live 9 hours away, but every time we visit Winfield we will certainly order this pizza. The regular crust is wonderful. Keep up the good work!!!!! read more

Best pizza in DuPage, hands down. Dough is made from scratch, sauce is made from fresh-packed tomatoes, and the people working there are as nice as they come. Pick up only, no delivery, no credit cards, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I recommend trying their calzones, they are spectacular. read more

Amazing pizza and friendly service! The stuffed pizza is super dense and worth a try, our family is a big fan of the regular pizza and probably orders twice a month at a minimum! read more
