Stopped by here on a road trip thanks to a groupon we found. the guide was very knowledgeable about Jerome (he used to do history tours) but not confident we encountered any ghosts. They make you scan little radios really fast to communicate with spirits (imagine changing radio stations constantly) and then asking questions with one word answers. The issue though because it's scrambling through stations there probably are a lot of people getting tricked into thinking they're getting answers when it's actually something on the radio stations. As for the ghost meters they did go off places but when I held mine and my boyfriends next to each other we would get the same exact readings which means it's actual energy from wifi or something in the area. Regardless it was fun. If you're going if encourage you to get to the town early to explore -- be warned you have to drive up narrow roads on cliffs/hillsides to get there -- and then take the tour at night! That was my only regret :/ read more

Well, my family has been back from our vacation for a week now and my two teenage girls are still talking about the ghost town tours. We were not sure what to expect, but we were given the best tour guide ever, Taylor, who truly loves his job and believes in the town of Jerome. He explained the fascinating history of the old mining town and the wrath of Spanish flu. He did so in a manner that was appropriate for adults and my two teenagers, which I truly appreciated. The ghost hunting at the high school was a blast. I think that everybody in our group had a really good experience. My youngest kept picking up voices of a younger child at the high school and my oldest had a conversation in Spanish with a spirit in the cemetery. The views and vistas from the cemetery were absolutely unbelievable and were really the cherry on top. We chose the 6 o'clock tour and by the time we were done we were able to watch The sunset from the cemetery. Highly recommend Taylor! When someone loves what they do it really shines through. read more

The tour was ok, I honestly wouldn't recommend. Not worth the price point. I'm even a little put out by the $60 I had to pay for one ticket, they comped my mom for Mother's Day which was really nice of them. Comp'd though, so that means it would have been $120 on any regular day? $120! I would have had a fit if I had paid $120 for that. So here's some good ways to improve on your tour. History, history, history!! Have some good ghost stories prepared already, the guy could've taken us to some key spooky spots told us some creepy stories and scared us a bit then have us play with the electricity readers afterwards. Have some questions prepared other than "Hi, I'm ****** want to talk to me?". There were some cool energy reads there, but without any history behind what I'm experiencing it really takes away from it. Overall experience was not what I was expecting. Jerome grand hotel also offers a ghost tour, I will try them next time. I have heard good things about that tour, but was curious about the town in general. The guide seemed uninformed and struck me as new to the job, though he was really excited about the reads I would have really appreciated having it explained with in depth history. ***** I did NOT take the wrong tour, I specifically asked what the tour entailed. I did not receive what was advertised and this is why I rated poorly. I did my research before signing up... there was no mistake and if there was who ever spoke to me on the phone poorly explained the tour which I definitely asked about. read more

Took the Haunted History shuttle tour. Our guide took us to the hotel :we didn't get out of the shuttle as he explained the how bad the towns doctor had been during the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918. No mention of ghost sightings or paranormal activity. Next stop the Audrey Shaft: no mention of any paranormal activity. Next the graveyard: the guide talked about the problem with scavengers digging up the graves ... no mention of ghosts... Next the High School: visited the locker rooms and ! Finally he mentioned a former student who had been killed in a mine accident . He made a passing reference to the students ghost but failed to mention if it was in the mine or the High School. Next drive back to the start point and dropped us off. He did tell a couple of interesting murders but made no mention of any residual spirit activity. I do not recommend this tour, you would think a town that bills itself as "ghost city"would have a ghost or two. read more

We did the walking tour on Halloween, and it was really amazing. Our tour guide was very informative, had a great sense of humor, and just easy to listen to. We were also lucky because we had a lot of activity through our spirit box, along with one of the other groups on tour. I didn't really know what to expect from the tour, but it definitely exceeded all expectations. I would recommend the tour to anyone looking for history and/or ghosts! Amazing tour. Did this for my bday and it was pretty awesome. They even let us use the EMF for free. We were suppose to only have a historic tour but they also took us to the cemetery and high school. My EMF kept going off throughout the school, and only mine. It was so neat. We took the one hour tour which was a city historical tour. Our guide was Katrina and we loved her! She was super knowledgable about the town history, and you could tell she genuinely loved the town and all of the people in it, and that she also did her research thoroughly. Even though it was a ghost tour (and our ghost meters did go off a few times!) Katrina was also a great town historian. She shared some very interesting history about the Connor Hotel (we stayed in one of the haunted rooms!), and we also got to view the town cinema - which normally costs $2 per person, but it was included (this was a must-see!). The tour was the highlight of our visit to Jerome, and we want to come back to do the longer night tour. Katrina was a great narrator/story-teller, knew a ton about the town, and she was hilarious and fun. A must-do! Highly recommended. read more

I've been to Jerome at least 50 times and really enjoyed the Ghost Tour we took on Sunday. Learned a few things I never knew. Would've hoped for a few more facts about the town, but overall it was a great time and worth the money. I'm sure we will be booking with them again for a future tour. read more

My 18 year old daughter and I took the Jerome Ghost Tour. Brandon was our guide tour. We had the shuttle and walking tour at 10:30 PM. There was only one other couple in our group. Brandon gave us a lot of history about the town and the "ghosts" in the high school and the cemetery. There was activity on the monitors in the high school. The other girl in our group felt a "pricking" sensation in the back of her head. Her boyfriend, Dave, was brave to be in the basement alone. We headed to the cemetery next. We heard voices on the monitor a few times. My daughter asked "What number am I thinking about." It said, "No." There was a lot of activity on the other monitor. We stayed at The Grand Hotel. We walked there from the hotel but Brandon was kind enough to drop us off at the hotel. It was everything my daughter had hoped for. The whole visit to Jerome revolved around going on the ghost tour. I felt it was worth the cost. The first picture is in the hallway at the high school. It looks like a face in the upper center to right in the picture. Awesome! We took the history tour with Scott. He was knowledgeable, fun and incredibly personable. The night was perfect for a ghost tour with a light drizzle which set the mood. We had decided to take the tour last minute and I actually called 2 hours before start time from grapes restaurant. I got a call back immediately with information regarding which tours were open. I highly recommend the history tour with Scott which lasts 2 hours. We were given ghost meters, umbrellas and flash lights to be used to see where we were walking and highlights on the tour. It was so interesting learning of not only the ghostly happenings of the town but also the awesome history of this now small ghost town. Anyone going to Jerome should spend the money to take one of these tours! I've been telling everyone to go. read more

I saw this tour in our hotel 45mins away. I was excited to book it. Our concierge helped us book our tour. I would recommend this if you are really into this. Our tour guide Paul was very helpful and entertaining. He told us some history stories and help us with our equipments. We were able to talk to spirits. One spirit was asking us to help her help a certain Mark. Turned out she was a nurse. Amazing... We also talked to a kid named Ann and a child named Bill who was very playful. He kept on turning my flashlight off despite me changing mine he still continued. We also communicated with a Teacher who said he taught Arithmetic in the school we were in. That's right he said Arithmetic. Amazing huh? Last spirit we were able to communicate with is a Mexican one. She talked to us in Spanish saying they were a lot of them there waiting to be helped. They were screaming in pain or something. I felt so helpless. I certainly enjoyed this tour. So much fun! We went in July and took the ghost tour for my husband's birthday. It was very educational and extremely entertaining.
