This company and owner Shaun is a joke. One of the top google searches brought up an ad stating…read moreelectrical design in Tempe (Pic attached). I called on a Friday and explained that I had a new 2000 sqft garage just completed and needed an electrical design drafted. I explained that SRP would be upgrading to 400 amp service and that I would need multiple 50/60amp outlets in addition to standard 120v outlets. Shaun said he charges $120 per hour and it should take 4-5 hours and would need a site visit first. We scheduled for the following Monday 3pm and he said he would have the design by Wednesday. I took off work early to be home at 3pm on Monday. After he didnt show by 330 I called and he just says he forgot and he is based in Casa Grande so he cant come until the next day. He wanted to schedule the next afternoon but I said it wouldnt work since I had already took off early. He then said he would be there a 630a. The next morning one of his guys showed up and I explained what was needed and said he would tell Shaun. Im still not sure the point of this visit since this guy didnt really say/do anything while onsite. Three days later I hadnt heard from anyone so I called and Shaun said he was busy and would have something to me on Monday. (Arent we all busy? Im still waiting for someone to explain why their time is more valuable than mine). Now it is Tuesday and I called to ask about status and Shaun said that they are just too busy. I asked why he didnt tell me 2 weeks ago when we first talked and he started running his mouth about how Im and cheap ass and he doesn't want to clean up my mess and hung up. Excuse me? My mess? A brand new building with no electric but hes cleaning up my mess? Of course this joker wouldnt answer my return calls so I had to call from a different number. He had no explanation on why it took 2 weeks to tell me hes not interested in the job and wasted my time. I suggested he reimburse me for my lost time but he refused. Im petty and Ill get my moneys worth!

John moved some wiring around in my wall switches to get a couple of the areas working, and then came back again when his schedule freed up, to finish the job. Appreciate his working me in with short notice and getting me back and running. Had to edit and downgrade my review after power went out again in a larger area of house. Had a different electrician out that diagnosed some issues with the solution Light Up Electric completed. Turned out the 3-way switch they replaced was bad originally and just needed to be replaced. The other electrician squared it all away and got everything working, but it cost me a few hundred and lots of downtown as my router was out for a few days while the ultimate fix was applied.

We had purchased a new hot tub and needed to have the 230V power line hooked up before the tub…read morearrived. We were very disappointed with the quotes and overall responses we were getting from the electrical contractors we'd dealt with previously. Then we found E&A Ulloa's Electrical Services, right here in Casa Grande. Fernando Ulloa was able to come right over and take a look at our project. He asked what we felt were important questions, and pointed out possibilities the other electricians had neglected to mention. Rather than needing to go back to his office to work up a quote on the work we needed, he provided us with a job quote right then. After asking some pertinent questions and receiving the answers we wanted, we told Fernando he was our choice. It wasn't a huge job, just a few hours, but it seemed as important to Fernando as it did to us, and as he knew we were fighting the clock, he agreed to do the work the following day. He showed up exactly when he promised he would, and got right to work, stopping only to answer my amatuerish questions. In less than four hours he managed to hook up the required length of electrical lines, which included upgrading the amperage of the existing fuses, and putting all the wires inside a metal conduit affixed to the house in such a location as to minimize its unsightliness. Fernando walked the job sight back and forth, making sure to pick up any trash or debris his work had created. He then gave me a brief tutorial explaining exactly what he had done, and showed how the required voltage now reached the end of the "pigtail" he had created for the hot tub installers to connect to. Upon completion of his work, the time estimate originally provided was within 30 minutes of the actual time required, if that makes sense. We were extremely happy with all facets of the quality of Fernando's work, and at that point didn't anticipate seeing him in the near future. Within a few days the crew to install and hook up the new hot tub arrived, but couldn't seem to get the requisite voltage to the hot tub. Since Fernando had shown me previously that the power was in fact there, I knew the problem was probably simple to address. I called Fernando, and he was able to come back out early that same evening, after having worked a full day in our 100+ degree Arizona weather. Almost immediately he identified the issue, a simple oversight by the installation team, then waited until I established that the tub was operating as intended. He refused my unsolicited offer of payment for his additional time and effort, and assured me he would come out ASAP for any related electrical problems. Fernando Ulloa, and E&A Ulloa's Electrical Services more than met my expectation of what an electrical contractor needed to be: he was timely, professional, concientious, personable, knowledgeable and very affordable. We would have zero hesitation recomending E&A Ulloa's to anyone within their service area, and intend to utilize them for any electrical need that may arise for us. Thank you Fernando, for showing us that the idea of "you get what you pay for" is a concept still adhered to by at least one local contractor!
