We had purchased a new hot tub and needed to have the 230V power line hooked up before the tub…read morearrived. We were very disappointed with the quotes and overall responses we were getting from the electrical contractors we'd dealt with previously. Then we found E&A Ulloa's Electrical Services, right here in Casa Grande. Fernando Ulloa was able to come right over and take a look at our project. He asked what we felt were important questions, and pointed out possibilities the other electricians had neglected to mention. Rather than needing to go back to his office to work up a quote on the work we needed, he provided us with a job quote right then. After asking some pertinent questions and receiving the answers we wanted, we told Fernando he was our choice. It wasn't a huge job, just a few hours, but it seemed as important to Fernando as it did to us, and as he knew we were fighting the clock, he agreed to do the work the following day. He showed up exactly when he promised he would, and got right to work, stopping only to answer my amatuerish questions. In less than four hours he managed to hook up the required length of electrical lines, which included upgrading the amperage of the existing fuses, and putting all the wires inside a metal conduit affixed to the house in such a location as to minimize its unsightliness. Fernando walked the job sight back and forth, making sure to pick up any trash or debris his work had created. He then gave me a brief tutorial explaining exactly what he had done, and showed how the required voltage now reached the end of the "pigtail" he had created for the hot tub installers to connect to. Upon completion of his work, the time estimate originally provided was within 30 minutes of the actual time required, if that makes sense. We were extremely happy with all facets of the quality of Fernando's work, and at that point didn't anticipate seeing him in the near future. Within a few days the crew to install and hook up the new hot tub arrived, but couldn't seem to get the requisite voltage to the hot tub. Since Fernando had shown me previously that the power was in fact there, I knew the problem was probably simple to address. I called Fernando, and he was able to come back out early that same evening, after having worked a full day in our 100+ degree Arizona weather. Almost immediately he identified the issue, a simple oversight by the installation team, then waited until I established that the tub was operating as intended. He refused my unsolicited offer of payment for his additional time and effort, and assured me he would come out ASAP for any related electrical problems. Fernando Ulloa, and E&A Ulloa's Electrical Services more than met my expectation of what an electrical contractor needed to be: he was timely, professional, concientious, personable, knowledgeable and very affordable. We would have zero hesitation recomending E&A Ulloa's to anyone within their service area, and intend to utilize them for any electrical need that may arise for us. Thank you Fernando, for showing us that the idea of "you get what you pay for" is a concept still adhered to by at least one local contractor!
