I am forever grateful to have him come into my life, and the first tome in years I no longer have pain from walking or doing any activity, I can finally live my life without constant pain. I live in the high desert and our level of care is terrible, I have dealt with ankle and foot pain for last ten years. I have been to several doctors in my area who dismissed my symptoms and pain without ordering X-rays or an MRI, they just told me I was obese and needed to lose weight. I first saw Dr. J early 2025 thinking I had gout. Immediately on the spot he said I tore a tendon in my toe and the ligaments in my ankle were torn. He immediately ordered an MRI and an X-ray, which confirmed exactly what he told within three minutes of diagnosing me. He didn't tell me I was obese and that I needed to lose weight, he listened to my problems and showed empathy and compassion. I was around 400 lbs, at the time and could not get surgery until my weight came down. Dr. J connected me with the right people and helped me get the weight down, and he gave me PRP which helped with the pain in the meantime and kept me in a brace to prevent further injury. I was finally able to get surgery on April 8th, 2026 after getting down to 275. I have lost a significant amount of weight and Dr. J has personally gone out of his way to connect me with quality doctors and good plastic surgeons. Dr. J's techniques are the best, no metal screws or plates needed, two weeks on a knee scooter with week three in a walking boot for 3-4 weeks. I had my surgery April 8th and by May 11th I no longer needed the boot. Couldn't ask for a better doctor or a kinder person than Dr. J!

For example, knowing I was recovering at home and couldn't celebrate my birthday, he actually ordered a special dinner for my husband and me! It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. When the surgery center closest to me, Advanced Surgical Center of Beverly Hills (which is the absolute worst surgery center in Los Angeles - avoid at all cost!) screwed up big time with my insurance and caused my mental duress and a panic attack minutes before my surgery, Dr. Joseph stood up for me without hesitation and then cancelled all of his surgeries there for a month. He puts patients over everything! Thanks to his skill and care, my recovery has been smooth and successful. Recently, I started having issues with my thumb and was diagnosed with trigger finger. The only reason I initially went to another doctor was because I didn't know that Dr. Heyrani treated trigger finger. Had I known, I would have gone to him from the beginning. The other doctor recommended surgery and wanted to schedule it for the very next day. I was also told that I would basically have no downtime. I was hesitant about the information I was given, so I decided to contact Dr. Heyrani's office. When they confirmed that he does treat trigger finger, I immediately scheduled an appointment with him. I explained my experience to Dr. Heyrani, and he took the time to go over my condition and ALL of my options. He explained that if I choose to proceed with surgery, I should expect about two weeks of downtime, which sounded much more realistic to me. For now, I decided to go with a steroid injection to hopefully give me some relief for the next few months. If I do need surgery, I already know I will be returning to Dr. Heyrani. What I appreciate most about Dr. Heyrani is that he is informative, HONEST, and gives you different options instead of making you feel like surgery is your only choice.
