Also, by neglecting to realize medications I was being prescribed by a psychiatrist, he created an immediate, life-threatening risk to my safety. Amlodiprim, Hydrochlorothiazide, and Metoprolol, constitute an aggressive triple-antihypertensive regime. Prescribing Hydrocodone alongside these three agents is a direct prescribing error. Hydrocodone causes peripheral vasodilation and suppresses the central nervous system. By introducing this opioid, even though asked for, Dr. Sheybani directly blocked the body's natural compensatory reflexes. This error forced a profound, addictive spike in blood pressure. Placing me at immediate risk for severe hypertension, orthostatic syncope, and cardiovascular shock. Furthermore, Dr. Sheybani failed to account for severe addictive central nervous system and respiratory depression. Hydrocodone directly suppresses the brains respiratory center. The doctor's incorrect combination of three blood pressure medications induced cerebral hypoperfusion. This lack of blood flow to the brain severely compounds opioid sedation. This specific oversight and extreme neglect on Dr. Sheybani's part evaluates the risk of acute respiratory depression, profound somnolence, hypoxia, and fatal overdose. This prescription regime presents a clear deviation from standard medical care. The physician failed to cross reference known drug interactions. Dr. Sheybani failed to recognize the cumulative toxicity of these specific agents. He also failed to ensure a safe clinical plan. This incorrect prescribing requires immediate administration review and professional reconciliation to prevent severe patient harm in the future.

When I tried to explain this, the staff member repeatedly gave the same response and did not make any additional effort to re-check or search more thoroughly. She then told me that the doctor was not accepting new patients--despite the fact that he is listed by the insurance as a provider who is accepting new patients. Because of this contradiction, I went in person to the public office to clarify what was happening. There, I confirmed again that my mom is in the system and that Dr. Sheybani is indeed her assigned doctor. I am a healthcare service provider myself, and I understand how critical respectful communication and client relations are in a medical setting. Regardless of how skilled a physician may be, the front office staff are the first point of contact--and they represent the practice. This is a medical office, not a retail store; patients are often worried, unwell, or caring for vulnerable loved ones. The dismissive and unhelpful attitude we encountered suggests that the staff would greatly benefit from additional training in professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving.

He was attentive, professional, followed up on my lab results, and made sure important primary-care matters were addressed. Unfortunately, my experience with the practice has gradually changed significantly. Over time, the office appears to have shifted away from the level of personal and professional medical care I initially received. Much of my care has been handled by nurse practitioners, and I have had several experiences that raised serious concerns for me regarding attention to detail and professionalism. On multiple occasions, incorrect prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy, and I was the one who noticed the errors. When I brought one of these incidents to Dr. Arasheben's attention, I did not feel that my concern was taken seriously or adequately addressed. Initially, I treated it as an isolated mistake, but over time I experienced additional issues that caused me to lose confidence in the practice. Most recently, when I asked about my overdue annual physical, I was told that it was my responsibility to keep track of when my annual examinations were due. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the level of care, I was essentially told that if I was unhappy, I could find another primary-care physician. After being a patient for five years, this was extremely disappointing. In my experience, the practice today feels much more focused on running and expanding a business than providing the attentive, disciplined primary care that I received when I first became a patient.
