He was rough, didn't seem to have any patience, and scared the hell out of me, making every dental visit increase my anxiety and fear levels. After I got older, I found a better dentist that I could almost tolerate. It was not because of the Dr., it was the fear of having all that equipment in my mouth, and all that comes with it. Not being able to swallow, fighting that urge, trying to stay calm, and not knowing what torturous devices were pocking and hurting my gums. I would put off dentist appointments until every mouth issue became an emergency. I moved to the Nazareth area 30 years ago, in 92'. I needed a dentist in the area but put it on the back burner. The inevitable happened and I developed a toothache. I searched and found a local dentist. During my first visit, I was gagging and having a hard time breathing, then went into full panic attack mode. I stopped him halfway through the exam and left. I tried another dentist, and the same thing occurred. My Fiancé suggested I call her dentist. I made the appointment and told the receptionist my fears. I got to my appointment; I reminded the receptionist how scared I was. Sitting in the waiting room I considered leaving because this would be the same as every dentist I had ever been to. But each time I started to stand up, the receptionist made some small talk, and I would sit back down and calm down some. After the third time I was called back to see the doctor. I left that first appointment feeling relaxed. This Dr. and his staff truly understood my fear and my anxiety and made it the most pleasant dentist appointment I ever had. Dr. Miller was patient with me, would stop when I asked. He and his staff helped me get through that first appointment. 30 Years later, I have had many exams, x-rays, filling, extractions, root-canals and more. During dental procedures I am so relaxed, I will doze off and a few times, fallen into a deep sleep. Thank you, Dr. Donald Miller DDS. You and every team member you have had over the years kept me calm, relaxed and my mouth very healthy.

The first appointment at Dr. Harlemans, I requested to have my silver filling replaced because I am against mercury use. When there, I was told the filling has no mercury and he did not remove it. Now I am under the impression he might had informed me incorrectly and my mouth may indeed still have mercury in it to this day.. Our last 2 visits, my wife and I were totally lectured about "Fluoride" for almost the entire duration of our daughters appointments. Our charts specifically said we did NOT want fluoride, but we had to endure her condescending propaganda as she kept pushing us to fluoridate our daughter. She went as far as to say she had to "sleep at night" - and totally got her point across that she views us as irresponsible, ill-informed people. This office is NOT a good match for my families dental preference.

When we were going to leave they suddenly had appointments the next day for me and two days later for my wife. Okay! I was to have a wisdom tooth pulled before leaving Florida by my dentist at Gulf Coast Smiles. I needed a new filling and a deep cleaning too. Broad Street Dental is sending me to a periodontist for the cleaning because their Hygienist is busy till October, 2019 with cleanings. Really?? Their sending me to an oral surgeon to pull a wisdom tooth??? Really? My dentist in Florida was willing to pull it no oral surgeon needed. When I asked the doctor why I need an oral surgeon, she said maybe he is more experienced. Really? I was with my wife for her visit. While waiting for her in their office - on the referrals, I asked if they are, "In Network" referrals. They said they didn't know, I should call them and if not in network, they will provide another referral. Really? Why didn't they find out if referral was , "In Network", before dishing them out. There are 2-4 people behind the counter gabbing, yet they don't have the time to provide, "In Network", referrals. Really? After I said okay, they made the calls for me. After going to an Oral Surgeon for Wisdom Extraction, and a Periodontist for the cleaning, I can then go back for the new filling. The feeling (which is important) is that they are so busy and so overbooked, their doing us a favor taking us as clients. Really?

The third time they DID NOT text or call my cell phone but called my land line to confirm. I didn't get it so they cancelled. I called saying we were coming in and they said to reschedule. This is like 6 MONTHS of my son - who is 18 and works ten hours a day - not getting a consult for his wisdom teeth. Thanks a lot.

I called yesterday and they saw me today. Everyone was so nice. The dentist that did my extraction was Dr. Arnone, and he explained everything to me and told me what to expect. The staff that I dealt with were Joann, Mindi, Ellen & Marjorie. I highly recommend this practice. It turns out that I went there previously in 2014.
