My previous dentist tried ripping me off for a basic tooth extraction....my co-pay was quoted $400-something. For a TOOTH EXTRACTION?!?! I'm no expert, but the internet has multiple uses other than porn. The Average TOTAL cost was approximately $100-400 for an extraction. Previous dentist was gonna charge my CO-PAY $400!!! I calmly left (and threatened a lawyer if I saw a missed appointment bill. Scumbags that try to rob you get pissed when you call them out on their scumbaggery). I eventually found Pocono Pines and they were a Godsend!!! Took approximately 30 minutes to do the whole job. That's: intro, numbing, extraction....all for under $15!!!! So...one scumbag dentist wanted over $400 to hit my co-pay while an honest dentist charged me $15. Kinda starting to make sense why dentists have the highest amount of suicides vs any other professions: they get caught robbing people and are too cowardly to face their actions. Not Dr. Mann and his staff. They even helped me get my X-rays that scumbag dentist tried to withhold from me. I strongly recommend Dr. Mann and his office. They've earned a new client for life. Only drawback is he was trained in Philly, but he didn't let that despicable culture corrupt him.

Dr Mark had me sedated but could not do the job because he said I would not calm down, or may have be having a reaction. That is the good thing because I still have me teeth & my original dentist was able to create a special crown/bridge that worked out fine. My problem is I am still stick with a $900. set of choppers that were never fitted, and no recourse to get my money back. The office of Mark Antonis has wonderful oral hygienists. They're gentle. My prior experience with…read moreothers, elsewhere, was horrible and I had been naive to think this was normal. It's not. i was going to a different dentist, in Emmaus, PA, where the oral hygienist essentially tortured me (I even have an injury on the root of a tooth from their hostile scaling technique, though there's no hope of getting their admission of it). I started scaling my own teeth to reduce this feeling of being brutalized at semiannual cleanings, and it made no difference at all. At Antonis' office, I said "Wow, you barely did anything with the hook". The hygienist admitted "you basically did all the work". This taught me that my other hygienist was not doing anything sensible and had only been scraping mindlessly. I'll never go back to them, but I WOULD go back to Antonis' people. I told the receptionists how impressed I was with the gentleness of Antonis' hygienists. The one receptionist said "Oh I know, I love them here!" She then told an oral hygienist anecdote of her own, from her own prior dentist. When she somewhat shyly complained about her hygienist, to the receptionist at her old dental office, the dentist happened to be within hearing distance and said "What? She's been warned before about that" and the dentist walked back and fired the woman on the spot. So let this be a lesson to you: if you're putting up with an oral hygienist abusing your mouth during cleanings, this is NOT normal. Try the hygienists at Mark Antonis' office. I had two different ones and both were gentle. Note, this was circa 2006. I don't know if the same hygienists are there today.

I went to Fellows and Smink in Pottsville because I heard from a friend with GOOD teeth that they…read morewere pretty good. My teeth are not that good. I wear an upper partial created by another dental place in 2016. I worked in a battery plant that caused lead to get in my body. Also I have periodontal disease since my early 40's. I got stuck with Dr. Fellows. He seemed like a good dentist at 1st. I told him right off that my partial was a "interim partial" and that its not fitting correctly. Making my mouth sore. I wanted it replaced with a better fitting 1. So. upon starting up with Dr. Fellows. it quickly went downhill. I would get my teeth cleaned by the hygienist and he came in once , maybe 2x took look my teeth over and only took x-rays once in 2021. Then , my next several cleanings. He wasnt even in the office to look at my remaining teeth to exam them. the cleaner woman did her best. But he wasnt around. I decided to look at my bills from them. I was being BILLED as if I saw the dentist and did not. He wasnt around. That irked me. The staff was not that friendly either. He never got around to replacing the 6 year old interim partial. Also the last time he took xrays was in 2021 ! I had my teeth cleaned 2 more times and said. this isnt working out. Im not seeing a dentist I just see the hygienist and Im not getting what Im paying for and no xrays. then to top it off. My partial broke in half. he sent it out to get fixed instead of REPLACING THE WHOLE THING LIKE I WANTED from the beginning. So. for the last year Ive had to chew very carefully. Im not a candidate for implants so .... what teeth I have are precious. So. upon returning to my old dentist. they immediantly found 2 teeth with cavities. They told me 1 tooth cold be repaired but it wasnt going to last forever. the second tooth. they said it has a cavity on the bottom. We dont think it can be fixed. So. Im pretty sure his not looking at my teeth and not taking xrays and billing me for not even being there. Caused these issues to complicate and already bad oral health. 1 of my family members also had a bad experience there also. I should have sued the place.
