I chose this loan officer specifically because of the strong reviews and because I wanted…read moretransparency on rates and costs. That's not what I got. Early in the process, I was given the clear impression my rate would fall in a certain range. When the actual disclosures arrived near closing, the zero-point rate was substantially higher, nearly a full point above what I'd understood, and the version I received had thousands of dollars in discount points built in that were never discussed with me. When I raised the discrepancy, I was told it was "the market" and given explanations about what online rate averages "really mean." None of that held up when I checked published data myself. To be fair, the file was handled competently and closed on schedule. But I had to push, repeatedly, before I was shown the full range of rate, point, and credit combinations available to me. My advice to anyone shopping here or anywhere: 1. On day one, ask for the full rate sheet in writing: every rate paired with its exact points or lender credit. Not a verbal quote. Email or PDF. 2. Any time someone quotes a rate, ask if it includes points, and how many, and get the answer in writing. 3.Take that written sheet and shop it with at least two other lenders or brokers. If someone won't put pricing on paper, that tells you everything. 4. Never sign a fee disclosure with points you didn't explicitly agree to. You can decline and restructure at the zero-point rate. I did, and it saved me thousands in cash at closing. Good ratings don't mean you can skip the paper trail. Get everything in writing.

Kareem takes personal referrals very seriously; he only refers the best of the best to his friends/clients. The Casas Team - City Wide Home Loans provided my wife and I an exceptional experience! We began working with The Casas Team a year and half before we closed on our new home. I knew both my wife and I had credit challenges. I had a bankruptcy 3 years prior from incurring a tremendous amount of medical debt from being hospitalized and uninsured. My wife only had bad credit on her file with a score under 500. The Casas Team referred us to a credit agency to assist in boosting my wife's credit score. The Team followed up with us each month to check on our progress and inquired if they could assist us in any way. After one year of working on our credit my wife and I were ready to move forward in the loan process. This process can be daunting but the processionals at The Casas team made everything simple for us to complete. Their expertise, professionalism and consistent communication exceed our expectations. When it came time to close on our new home the Team had everything in place, ahead of schedule. Everyone is faced with many local and national choices when selecting a lender. I would ONLY recommend The Casas Team - City Wide Home Loans. They do not treat you as a "sale" or number in their database but as family. The entire team cares about their clients, their wellbeing and making a home purchase smooth and efficient. It's that personal touch you do not often find now that separates The Casas Team from any other lenders out there!

So if I want to make 1/2 of my payment now and more next week and then the rest at my due date, I can't just do that or even make schedule-ahead payments! Not only did our loan officer not make the process smooth, he overlooked simple qualifications that needlessly ate time. We had to change loan types in between because he did not look at the debt on our credit report correctly and so we had to restart the whole process which burned a week. While the credits markets were rocky over the couple of weeks we were obtaining this loan(which we could have avoided had simple conditions not been overlooked earlier) our officer used it to change between rates as high as 4.5% to 3.75% back to 4% with added costs that were not disclosed earlier. Not only do I watch markets anyways, a week with a fluctuation like the one described above would be catastrophic in the economy. We were in constant need to do financial gymnastics to pay down loans and meet conditions which is not the fault of WJ Bradley completely (mortgage laws are crazy now), but the lack of warning and preparation was, and again, could have been avoided had our officer been more attentive. We did not get low costs or good rates with WJ Bradley, nor did we receive competent service to justify the higher costs.
