He was honest and everything he said would happen did happen. He then handed the processing off to Celeste who handled the loan processing with care and efficiency. The online process was amazing. Celeste was very accessible and on top of everything to make the process quick and easy. Anthony did the insurance research and got the best homeowner rate possible. I can't say enough good things about Valley West Mortgage.

I worked with Valley West Mortgage on my home purchase last September. I found them after comparing…read morerates with a couple other lenders, and Kevin with Valley West agreed to match the best rate with an additional lender credit that ultimately made their offer the best one. Initially, everything in the process went fairly smoothly. However, that all changed about 1 week before closing. First, that lender credit that was agreed upon? That was mysteriously gone from the final closing disclosures. After confronting Kevin about it, he said I lied about the offers I had compared (which makes no sense as I directly showed him the actual loan disclosure documents from the other mortgage lenders) and refused to honor the previously agreed upon lender credit despite the obvious evidence I had in writing. When I asked him if he was willing to blow up the deal over this, he simply replied "yup." After contacting other lenders to try to get away from supporting Valley West after this poor business practice, I realized I would be stuck continuing with Valley West if I wanted to close on my house anywhere near the initially discussed closing date. That leads me to the next issue: the closing date. 3 days before closing, I received some communication from Valley West that led me to believe there were some documents being processed that would take until the following week to be finished, which hold up the closing. Based on this, I contacted Celeste (who was working with me on procuring said documents) and found out that they somehow had my closing date in their system as 8 DAYS LATER than the actual closing date. They never asked or communicated this date to me at any point before. To this day, I have no idea how they arrived at that date, as my closing date had already been set well before I had initially contacted their office. Regardless, this flub resulted in me having to contact my home insurance to change the move-in date to the correct one (which Valley West had changed with them without my knowledge or consent), and to contact the title company who informed me they were working closely on getting Valley West to clean up a number of errors in the documents including having entirely too much property tax taken out. All of this sounds like a 1-star review, right? Well ultimately, Valley West was able to crank it out and meet the original closing date successfully so I felt 2-stars was appropriate based on that. But would I ever recommend using them to anyone else as a mortgage lender? Not in a million years.

After a few weeks, I experienced a lack of communication with days on end not knowing what to do next. I often had to call them asking a myriad of questions, so I decided to move on to another lender. I then called Steve Berger with Coastal Capital Funding here in Henderson, Nevada. From the onset Steve explained his strategy and the best course of action to obtain a loan. Not only that, he advised me that I can use another VA loan to purchase my home thus cutting costs and reducing my APR. Something that was never told to me from the previous lender. During the entire process, he and his wife, who work together, assisted me with all the paperwork, they made calls on my behalf, they sent out all forms for me to sign, they advised me at all times on what to expect, both he and his wife made sure that all the paperwork was signed accurately and submitted accordingly. When there was a hiccup or an issue, he immediately got on it to rectify the problem. I was constantly on the phone with him making sure that everything was submitted on a timely basis. He always answered his phone immediately and or returned my call shortly after calling him. My experience with Coastal Capital Funding was flawless. I felt I was a valued customer. I felt he cared and joked about many things while on the phone which made the entire process run smoothly and effortlessly. After closing, I received a gift from Coastal Capital Funding showing me that I wasn't just a number, but now a friend. Thank you Steve and Jocelyn.

It's hard to put into words how much Joey Ciaglia, Nick Paggi, and their team at Note Mortgage…read moremeant to us during this whole process. What they did for our family went far beyond just doing their jobs, they truly showed up for us in a moment when we felt absolutely lost and scared. Before we found Joey, we were working with another lender who completely let us down. They stopped communicating, kept telling us "everything looks great," and made us believe we were on track. Meanwhile, we were actually nowhere near getting approved. We were still stuck in pre-approval and underwriting two weeks before closing, and the loan broker couldn't tell us anything. He kept blaming the underwriter, and we were left in the dark. We honestly felt hopeless, like we were about to lose our earnest money and the home we had fallen in love with. Our Realtor, Kiven Dults, recommended JoeyCiaglia and told us, "If anyone can help, Joeycan." I don't think we realized at that moment just how true that would be. The second we spoke to Joey, everything felt different. He was calm, confident, and you could just tell he knew exactly what he was doing. With less than two weeks to close, Joeyand Nick and their whole team jumped in with everything they had. They worked around the clock, even on the weekend, and I could feel how hard they were fighting for us. What meant the most wasn't just the work they did (which was honestly incredible), but the way they treated us through it all. Joey always answered our calls. He never made us feel like we were asking too many questions or bothering him. He talked us through our fears, explained things over and over when we didn't understand, and he always made us feel like our family mattered. Joey and Nick didn't just guide us, they genuinely cared about us. And that's something I'll never ever forget! Even when we started to believe we might lose the house, they never lost faith. They showed so much determination and heart that it kept us going when we didn't have much hope left. I can't express how grateful I am for Joey, Nick, and their team. We truly feel blessed that our paths crossed. They didn't just help us buy a house, they helped us keep a dream we thought was slipping away. If you want a team who treats you like family, who actually cares, who is there for you, and who will fight for you every step of the way... Joey Ciaglia, Nick Paggi and their incredible team at Note Mortgage are the ones you want helping you through one of the most important purchases of your life.

This is, without exaggeration, one of the most incompetent and unethical real estate experiences I've ever encountered. From start to finish, Simply Vegas demonstrated a stunning lack of professionalism, basic real estate knowledge, and any semblance of fiduciary responsibility to their buyer. Let's be very clear: they do not represent your best interests. They will say whatever is convenient, deflect responsibility when things go sideways, and prioritize their commission over your protection. Communication was unreliable, guidance was misleading, and when accountability was required, it vanished entirely. Instead of advocating for us, our agent actively created risk, confusion, and unnecessary exposure--the exact opposite of what a buyer's agent is legally and ethically obligated to do. We were left to untangle mistakes, chase answers, and protect ourselves in a transaction where professional oversight should have been automatic. This wasn't just poor service--it was reckless. Real estate transactions involve contracts, deadlines, disclosures, and serious financial consequences. Simply Vegas handled these responsibilities with alarming carelessness. If you are a buyer relying on them to guide you safely through a purchase, you are putting yourself in jeopardy. The overall operation feels shady, disorganized, and driven by self-interest, not client advocacy. There is a massive difference between salespeople and true professionals--Simply Vegas firmly falls into the former category. Do yourself a favor: do not learn this lesson the hard way like we did. There are competent, ethical brokerages in Las Vegas that actually understand their duties and take them seriously. Simply Vegas is not one of them. Buyers: steer clear. Protect your money. It was the lowest back then. In Feb 2012, the prevailing rate went down to 3.75%. This is when I re-financed my VA loan with Bill Zigler of Crosspoint Financial. I did a thorough research before I signed the dotted line. I had 3 other companies that I got with and Bill had the most credits and lowest APR interest rate. My first refinance with him closed within 30 days and I NEVER HAD TO PAY ANYTHING. My monthly mortgage payment reduced by $180 a month. That is at least $64800 in 30 years! Even after a couple of months we still couldn't believe that it was possible to refinance without coughing up money. All of my refinance costs were covered by the credits that Bill got for me. I even received some refund from all the credits I received. Fast forward and came December 2012. I received a phone call from my current mortgage lender offering a lower interest rate just for being a loyal customer. I again contacted Crosspoint Financial and told Bill what my lender is offering. He did his research, gave me a WAY BETTER offer and once again no closing cost refinance (streamlined) for my VA loan. From 3.75% down to 3.37% and my monthly mortgage reduced by $80 a month. Again, no cost for me due to the credits that Bill found. As long as the mortgage interest keeps on going down, I will keep contacting Bill if I ever decided to refinance my VA loan. So far, I have saved $260 a month from my initial 4.75% interest rate down to 3.375% that I recently got from refinancing with Crosspoint Financial. I don't know how Bill does it but I am really glad I found him to take advantage of the low mortgage rates.
