Wow! On a whim, my wife and I decided to walk over to Getty Peds to see if we could rent e-bikes for a couple hours to tour the battlefields. We were greeted by the owner who gave us the rundown of the bikes and helped us plan our voyage around a few of the site we were most interested in. The. Bikes. Were. Amazing. Everyone we passed along the way was envious of our superior transportation and ease of access to all the sites and scenery of the battlefield. As we neared the end of our journey, a torrential downpour began and we were forced to shelter under the Pennsylvania monument. With a minute of the rain starting, Getty Peds called me to make sure we were okay and said they were on their way to pick us up to ensure we made it back to town safely! My family and I took the gettypeds tour this past Tuesday. If I could give them 100 stars I would!!! So much fun and so much info on the tour. Josh the owner is amazing and so kind. We were expecting rain around the time of our tour so he made arrangements for us to come earlier that day so we didnt miss out. Our tour guide was full of knowledge and super fun!! TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE!!!! A few years ago we had seem people tooling around the Gettysburg battlefield on little go-carts via GettyPetty. So we were very excited to rent two when we saw Gettypetty advertise with big "Rent Me" labels all over their go-carts & online. We managed to book the last two the night before. when we showed up it was a COMPLETE MISREPRESENTATION OF SERVICE! in reality it's a guided tour ONLY where you sit in a passenger seat for $150+ AND the guy was a complete jerk, refusing any refund (even a partial -we were willing to accept some loss). Terrible experience, totally predatory, unprofessional, and a waste of our vacation time. Do. Not. Rent. read more

Very friendly and accommodating. Josh and the staff were very helpful. They let us park our bikes in the shed where they house the cars. Rich was our guide and was most informative and told us everything we wanted to know about the battle of Gettysburg. We highly recommend you take this tour. We had a lot of fun. We thoroughly enjoyed this! 50cc 3 wheel "scooter". It hit speeds of 45 mph, but was a bit rough. Most roads are 25 mph so that was fine. I am 6'4" and fit just fine. Probably 6'6" would be outer limits. Handlebar controls. Turn signal and horn. We spent 1 hour touring the battlegrounds with an app we downloaded for $6.99. Well worth it. Since we prefer walking, 1 hour was the perfect time. $50/hr or $89/2hr. I definitely recommend this place. Super nice and friendly. We were a couple of minutes late and no bother. We had an outstanding tour at Gettysburg with Getty-peds today. They provide 2 person scooter cars that are very easy to drive, along with a guide in the front and back. The front guide (Josh) was very safety conscious, and made sure we didn't get seperated, and our rear guide (Truman) was a certified tour guide who provided a very informative talk at the multiple stops. We learned a lot on this tour, from how to get around the battlefield, as well as a lot of interesting facts and perspectives to think about. Give this tour a try, it was real great. read more

A ++ A history major in college and park guide for many years, he and could answer any and all questions. The 'peds' were easy to run. We toured all around the battlefields for about 2 1/2 hours with stops at the most significant places where Eric would tell us facts and stories in an entertaining and informative way. So much fun!! I highly recommend these little two seater cars to tour the battlefield. We took a tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide. We learned about the battle in chronological order. The tour broke up this vast area into smaller parts so we could visualize what happened during the battle. Driving/riding around in the little cars kept everyone entertained as we moved from one spot to another. I can't say enough great things about this place. We rented the 6 seater golf cart to drive around the battlefields. Roughly $190 for three hours. Great deal, alot of fun, and a fantastic way to see the area. This is the ABSOLUTELY BEST way to see everything in Gettysburg. The owners are crazy nice and more than happy to teach you all about the vehicle and area auto tours with a map before you take off on your adventure. We were able to do all the driving tours with ease and pure relaxing enjoyment. Needless to say our kids had a blast. Very simple to drive and park to get in and out to walk closer to the monuments and buildings. I wish we had packed a pin I basket to enjoy during our travels here. It costs $70 for two hours for one double scooter. We did two for the four of us and it was cheaper and better than any of the bus/horse tours that are offered in the area. Please do it early like we did from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for less traffic on the scenic trail and the weather is fantastic. We have been to Gettysburg many times and this time was the best because of these scooters. Thank you for the family adventure of a lifetime. read more

This is truly the best way to tour Gettysburg and the battlefields! They just got a new arrival of electric bikes. We tried the go cart /golf cart and then the bikes and absolutely the bikes are by far the best experience you will have. They are safer than regular bikes with the feature of throttle to enable you to get through stoplights and intersections with traffic quickly and they allow different cyclists of different abilities to have a fun ride and if you start to get tired or don't like hills you can just put it all on battery. And truly the best part is the owners themselves are genuine down to earth people who want your feedback and care about your experience. I would give it 10 stars if I could read more

Really cool way to see Gettysburg! Owners were really nice people; vehicles are very easy to operate. We did two coupes for 1 hour each -- with only an hour you're really rushing through the sites.
