While planning for our second trip to Sun Valley, my husband and I knew we wanted to get in another lesson with Jeff. And this time, my father-in-law joined us for the advanced long rifle training (per Jeff's suggestion). I can't speak highly enough about Jeff and his attention to the shooting experience. He was patient and thorough when guiding us through firearm safety and the particulars of each long rifle. Being left-handed, I really appreciated his attentiveness so that I could get as much out of the lesson as the two righties. If it wasn't for lunchtime hunger pangs, we could've easily spent all day with Jeff (and he offered). Jeff is a genuinely adaptable and thoughtful instructor, who clearly enjoys sharing his passion for firearms. This is a tradition we will continue every time we are in the Hailey/Ketchum/Sun Valley area and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a top-tier shooting experience. read more

Jeff provided a wonderful, safety-focused shooting experience for my friends and me as we were visiting from California. We started off with a safety lesson, progressed to shooting some 22 rifles at targets, before moving to other 22's and finally an AK-47. To top it off, Jeff let us try shooting a suppressed 22 pistol even though we didn't pay for that service, which was quite fun since this isn't allowed in our home state. Of course, shooting at targets is exciting as-is, but Jeff blended the mechanics of proper marksmanship with helpful safety guidance and small competitions between the people in our group to keep things exciting. For example, we were pitted against each other to knock down some steel plates the quickest. This part was extremely fun. I believe that we all came away from Jeff's lesson with more than just a grin on our faces: we all feel more confident shooting, and more confident shooting safely. I recommend Jeff's services to anyone in the Sun Valley/Hailey area who would like to improve their skills with a firearm in a safe and enjoyable manner. He is a true professional. read more

Great experience. Jeff's instruction gave us a great amount of respect and confidence for the firearms, and we also had a lot of hands on shooting time. This was really fun, and we always felt very safe. Definitely recommend Jeff and Get your shoot on. read more

This was a great experience and super fun for my family. The owner Jeff made it a safe, fun learning experience for us. We booked a 2-hour package shooting .22 rifles. Most everyone in my family is new to shooting, so he explained all parts of the gun, gave us a safety lesson, and helped each of us get set up for shooting. He kept it interesting with a variety of targets at various distances and mini competitions among the kids. Jeff is thorough, patient, encouraging, and friendly. If we're ever back in Sun Valley, we are definitely booking another session with him again. read more

NRA Instructor opened the business to fill a need. Visitors to Sun Valley can now shoot rifles and pistols, not just sporting clays with shotguns. We have a large selection of firearms. Safe, friendly, knowledgeable instructors are here to make your shooting experience memorable. We operate out of Sun Valleys best shooting range.

NRA Certified Instructor with many hours of training including Master Combat Prep Class at Front Sight and private training with Military Personnel. Started shooting in 1968 with his father in an NRA Smallbore Rifle course.

My kids have been skiing with Clay Bowling, Eileen Reiss and Everett Crick for years now and all are fabulous! All 3 kids improve so much year to year...and know proper ski safety thanks to them as well. We've personally had better luck with privates than the actual ski school. fortunately, we always have a few families with us so can split the cost of privates (they'll take 3 in a group) so it works out well! It's always a small fortune to spend on a lessons, but we know if we stick with any of these 3 instructors it's well worth it. They've become part of our "sun valley family" as well and we look forward to seeing them (and skiing the mountains) with them year after year!

They loved every minute and couldn't wait to go back and ski with Mom and Dad the next day. The whole facility is family friendly. I have been receiving Firearm Training from Get Your Shoot On Idaho for a little over a year. I took a Conceled Carry class locally and it barely scratched the surface. I then took a group lesson from a big name school and again felt like I needed more. Through a friend I learned about GYSOI and found for less than the price of a group lesson I could get a PRIVATE firearm lesson. Their Shooting School operates out of a local Gun Range and is by appointment only. The firearm instructor I use is Jeff Kreyssig. What I like about him is he is very PATIENT and knowledgeable. I struggled with a lot of the basics and a few safety issues. Jeff never gave up or became impatient. His method of Firearm Training worked thru those issues and got me back on target safely. As a single gal, not being intimidated or growled at is important. Get your Shoot On Idaho also helped me with my firearm selection. The pistol I bought was not the best one for me so Jeff brought a number of guns to the shooting range and explained the pros and cons of each. I then shot each one until I narrowed down the right choice. Where else can you do this? These guys really care about the firearm student. I have recommended Get Your Shoot On to a number of friends and they are now all students. Jeff is giving lessons to to a number of their children using 22 pistols and rifles. When I get up enough nerve I hope to take a basic rifle class from GYSOI. This is my best Firearm Training experience to date. read more

I have been working with Jeff for a year now. I was completely new to shooting, and wanted to get out on some deer hunts. He spent a significant amount of time with me breaking in my new rifle and teaching me how to shoot. The experience was fun, informative. Even after my formal instruction, when I would see him at the range, he would help get me dialed in again and kept encouraging me. Right now I am training defensive pistol with him. I never thought I would be at all comfortable with a pistol, but Jeff really breaks it down and makes it a process. His attention to detail, and attention to safety and best practices, both make me comfortable and confident as a firearm owner and handler. And I should say that he is very affordable. Decided to take a break from skiing one day and spent 2.5 hours with Jeff at an outdoor range just south of Ketchum (Ohio Gulch). I had had some experience shooting clays but wanted to try a handgun. With excellent instruction and supervision of safe handling of the firearms I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time. Shot three different 22s (2 revolvers and one semi-automatic) and ended the session trying a SWEET 22 rifle nailing 95% of my targets. Great fun and highly recommended! Jeff accommodated me and my business partner to a last-minute private lesson at a gun range close to the place we were staying at in Sun Valley. Neither of us had shot a gun before so we were slightly nervous but knew we wanted to try something new while we were in town on a business retreat. Jeff made us feel very safe the whole time. He was very attentive and definitely got us to a good confidence level by the end of it! We got to shoot several types of guns from hand guns to the big boys - AK 47s! Great teacher, great time! Never touched a gun before. I was apprehensive to say the least but Instructor Jeff's enthusiasm, patience, attitude and professionalism (not to mention skill) gave me the courage to try.
