I had a pair of Ray-Ban prescription lenses that I wear every single day and the arm broke. I found Fix Optics tucked away in Borel Place. Not knowing there was a "magician" that worked there that sautered my arm back on so I could wear my glasses and then we ordered a new pair of arms. WOW! Fabulous experience. The location is near Highway 92 and nestled next door to a neighborhood. It's in a suite in a building, but plenty of parking. You enter a main lobby, then the suites are marked clearly on the wall before entering the hallway (Suite 100) just down on the right. There's a little doggy barrier for their resident pupper (so cute & friendly). The shop itself is beautiful - bright with lots of natural light, a few areas with a variety of optical gear for any sort of fix-it or whatnot. We were greeted by the daughter and then by Ray, the owner. We described the issue - a loose screw in the glasses frame we couldn't get to seat. He immediately got to work and within 5 seconds, they were fixed. "What do we owe you?"... he paused, smiled, and said, "How about a handshake, and tell your friends?" After my initial visit over 2 years ago, my wife accidentally stepped on her glasses causing the spring on one of the bows to be broken. After initially going to our family optometrist who by the way is great and has some senior employees who know to adjust and repair one's glasses they unfortunately were not able to fix the issue and referred her to Rey who I remembered did a fantastic job of adding nose pads to my sunglasses that did not have that feature. Located in a nondescript office building in San Mateo, he was able to fix the issue as he had the proper tools and items needed. In and out within 10 minutes. Great service and offered to pay for the materials and his response was a handshake from me. I can't recommend this place enough. After our obnoxious bird decided that one arm and nose pad of my favorite glasses, which I've worn for probably 10 years, would make a lovely chew toy, I managed to find a secondhand set of frames on eBay, and brought both pairs in to Rey. Within a few minutes, he had moved the good arm from the secondhand pair to my frame, and replaced both nose pads with brand new ones that fit perfectly, then gave them a quick ultrasonic cleaning, at a very reasonable price!
