We were strolling lovely downtown Burlingame this afternoon and walked by this Sunglass Hut. I could see through the front doors that they had a display of the new Ray-Ban meta smart glasses that I have been looking for. They have been really hard to find and most places are sold out. We had our dog with us, so I had my husband go in first to look at the display, but the employee was super welcoming and invited me to bring my pup inside. I love dog friendly businesses! I was able to try on a few styles before deciding on the ones I wanted. The store was clean and well appointed and the employee was very helpful to everyone who came in. I honestly don't know what rating to give.... I had great customer service while I was at the store... but I have had a hella of a time reaching them by phone. And by that I mean, I've called many times a day on different days and no one ever answers. Also - called customer support through their website and got nowhere. Worst than nowhere - the person I spoke to was less than helpful and annoying. The worst part is, I just want to by another pair of the same sunglasses I already purchased- but apparently no one can tell me the style number of those glasses besides someone looking at the database at that specific location. Really great customer service experience: - I had already looked through many sunglasses, but the ones I liked most weren't polarized. They pointed me to a similar model which I had missed which I ended up liking even more. - I promptly broke the left lens. Over the course of several calls they helped me try and track down replacements from the after-sales supplier. Then, by coincidence, they had another pair of the same model for which the right lens was broken but the left was intact. They offered it to me for free and quickly did the repair work. read more

I've been a customer for the last 10 years. I've bought multiple pairs of sunglasses from them. I recently went into the store because 1 of the screws fell off my Prada sunglasses only after a year, but they basically just said tough luck and told me to go find somewhere else to repair them. Only reason I buy from Sunglass hut was for the customer service and repairs. From now on I will just buy from Amazon like everyone else. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and still fighting with them for a $300+ refund I never received. I placed an online order that was delivered to the store. I decided to return the purchase, and was given a 'receipt' that (turns out) was not actually a receipt, but just a return form that apparently never got submitted. I never got my money back. Sunglass hut store has no record of the return. They direct me to corporate. Corporate (obviously) has no record of the return either. Paul, the store manager, was absolutely useless. The sales person who 'processed' my return likely just pocketed the sunglasses. Such a complete nightmare, don't ever do business with this trash store. read more

I bought a sunglasses from the store I tried to return it at about 8 pm they told us they are close the register .before we go there we check to web side .Web side Business hours saying close at 9 PM that's why we go there.They were off so if the rude for me.They called a police for me .This is absolutely Terrible experience.I go there are 30 miles away they don't want to take it back plus they called a police . I was feeling a bit dated with my sunglasses, since the bug-eyed look is all the rage now. (Funny how the 70's has become the new 00's...I suppose the saying is true that there is nothing new under the sun.) I digress. Looking to re-energize my inner-coolness factor, I head to the local purveyor of sun-inhibiting eyewear. I must say that most of the sunglasses are way too big and round for my face. My face already round and with the glasses hitting my cheeks is not such a good thing. To say I look ridiculous in this eyewear is an extreme understatement. I look like some sort of insect. Bleh... Because there are some things where you actually do need a second opinion, like brain surgery and eyewear, I ask the sales associate for her opinion. She steers me away from the extremely round or extremely square frames. I choose a pair that suits my face just fine. I've been to the Sunglass Hut in Hillsdale and the sales associates there are less than present. Actually, they act as if you should be honored to be in their store. Whoever is responsible for staffing the B'game location got it right. Kudos! read more

First off I have to say walking into this store yesterday made my day so much better!!! I walked in and was promptly greeted with a friendly hello. I later got to talking with the manager, Kevin, and I must say he is one of the nicest, coolest, and most helpful managers I've ever talked to. I needed a pair of oakleys that wasn't in the store and Kevin went right to work making 6 phone calls to find me this pair of glasses. He went above and beyond my expectations. We couldn't find the pair but he was so helpful and nice. I wish there were more people in the world that were so nice and helpful as Kevin was! Ill defiantly tell everyone how awesome this store is. I was looking for a good pair of sunglasses and had seen an ad advertising 50% off online. So, I decided to go in person and find a pair I like. Of course the sale ended yesterday, but I figured since I'm here I may as well look. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and attended to immediately. Excellent customer service, and the sales lady was extremely knowledgeable, which was very helpful considering I know absolutely nothing about sunglasses, except how they look. Also, Paul the sales manager, not only helped me pick out the best glasses, he also made sure that I got the reflective lens for that annoying sun glare. We strolled into the Sunglass Hut on Saturday afternoon hoping that someone could adjust our sunglasses. Fortunately, there was only one other person in the store. Priscilla, the manager had been assisting the customer but greeted us right away and asked if she could help. We explained the situation to her and she immediately went to work assessing the fit of the sunglasses on my face. And even though the slant of the sunglasses was very slight, she worked on adjusting them, The frames weren't really responding to the adjustment so she offered to replace them with a new pair. She brought them out and it turned out the fit was pretty similar so I decided to keep mine. My husband then asked if she would adjust his and even though they weren't purchased at the Sunglass Hut, she immediately went to work. The whole process probably took about 20 minutes and during this time she exhibited a great amount of patience, friendliness and professionalism. I've been to a few Sunglass Huts and have never experienced better customer service. In the future, when I'm in the market for sunglasses, I'll return to the Sunglass Hut and seek out Priscilla! read more

I was told by the Hillsdale store that Sunglass Hut had an excellent return policy. Since they didn't have the glasses I wanted I tried a different pair. The glasses I purchased did work out for me so two days later I went to the Burlingame store to exchange them. Since I was exchanging them for a cheaper pair I noticed the sales person was not eager to take the return. She looked long and hard to find a tiny and I mean tiny scratch at the end of the frame. I could not see the scratch but she claimed it was there. Needless to say she did not want to take a return. I took it to the Hillsdale store and they gladly exchanged it for me. They agreed the glasses were fine. In my opinion the Burlingame store was all about the bottom line and not about customer service. read more

I planned on buying a pair of sunglasses and mentioned to her that my boyfriend needed some, but I needed some help with the style. It's been years since I've visited a Sunglass Hut. I constantly walk by the Sunglass Hut on Burlingame Ave, but usually buy shades when I'm on vacation or traveling for work. I had been coveting some Ray-Bans for awhile, and decided to pop in today. The sales associate (I believe her name is Maria) was busy with another customer, but was nice enough to greet me immediately & offer her assistance. I found the style I wanted, but they did not carry the size I needed. As soon as she could, Maria got on her ipad & checked to see if RB made the size I needed in the style I wanted. We found what I wanted, & was very clear about the free-shipping, comp fitting/adjusting, & 90-day return policy. She was super friendly, professional, & determined to make sure I had a good experience there...which I did! They have a nice variety of frames & prices.
