Since it's been a while since I've had a dedicated stylist, I was a bit nervous--but from the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease and welcomed by everyone there. Bri took the time to really listen to what I wanted, get to know me, and make thoughtful suggestions. The entire experience felt personal and relaxed. The salon itself has a cute, mid-century, swanky vibe that makes you want to linger there all day. As for the haircut--it is hands down the best I've ever had. I have curly coarse hair that is not easy to deal with and Bri did an excellent job. As I head into my 40s, she also gave me great options for transitioning and starting to cover grays in a natural, non-damaging way. I went to Get Together yesterday for a base/root touch and haircut. It was my first time trying this salon and so glad I did! First of all, I love the salon aesthetics. It feels very inviting and I love all the plants and decor. They have a menu with drinks and snacks too. Best of all, I got my appointment with Judy, who's there on Tuesdays. She's sweet and down to earth. I'm not always the best with describing what I want done with my hair but she knew exactly what I needed. She is a pro at what she does and it shows! From the color to the cut... her precision and attention to detail was phenomenal!! I scheduled a blowout with Julie because I was heading out of town, and was really overwhelmed by the idea of getting ready. Julie was incredibly sweet and gave me a phenomenal blowout and style that I am current still rocking 4 days later with minimal touch up. Made an appointment thanks to my sister who found this gem and recommended it. Had to check it out for myself and so happy I did! Let me add they have so many appointments available and so many stylists to choose from. When first walking in, it's a total feel good space that just automatically makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. They did such an amazing job with every detail in the salon. I couldn't get over it! Julie is a miracle worker! I was referred to see Julie by a friend after I had a color session gone wrong from someone else. Julie did a 30 min consultation to just assess everything that went wrong and where do we go from here. She explained to me that it was fixable but was going to take a few sessions. When I came back for my first color correction service, she hopped right in and got to foiling. After the first session I already felt a thousand times better! I wanted a natural looking blonde that would fade into my slightly darker roots. And she achieved just that! I put a lot of faith in her as I went to my cousin's wedding the very next day! Look man, if you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing--you're finished. There are half a dozen people on this planet I would let cut my hair and he is one. Not only has he cut my hair, I have seen him teach other people how to cut hair, and watched him cut countless other heads of hair. I am not really sure what else you could possibly want. Look how warm and inviting this place is. Why are people smiling at work? Don't you want at least one hour of authentic interaction while you get a service by someone who is not only competent, but good at what they do? Just book it. OK? OK. I booked a Curly Cut with Bri about a month or so ago. The salon is very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the people are genuinely kind and welcoming. My rating is a reflection of the hair cut itself. I had a consultation with Bri before any service started. The main things I expressed were wanting to cut length while still being able to pull my hair back into a pony tail (for job purposes) and wanting some volume because I have very fine hair and unfortunately I have lost a lot of hair and it's an insecurity of mine that my scalp is starting to show more. I have never gotten a curly cut before, but have heard that the hair is usually cut dry to have a more accurate estimate of shrinkage. However, there was no dry cut. My hair was washed and was cut wet. The initial cut was done with sheers and the length was adequate. Unfortunately, Bri went in with a razor-type tool and started to thin my hair out. I asked what that process was for and she informed me that it was meant to "take off weight" from my hair to help my curls bounce back. Although I should've spoken up I hate confrontation and telling people how to do their job and the process was already started. My two issues with this was 1. The top portion of my hair is now far too short and I cannot pull my hair back unless I use a bunch of Bobby pins and 2. I already have little hair so now it feels like I have less and it has made me more insecure. While I can understand every stylist has their approach, my two main concerns were dismissed. read more
