Zero sh!ts given. Obviously the staff doesn't know that it's the customers who keep the lights on. The employees act like you're bothering them with your presence and that they're way too cool to help a patron. It would be super helpful if they actually priced their product or maybe they're just embarrassed by the ridiculously high prices. Also, maybe spend a dollar or two and turn on some lights. We all know that the owners are notoriously cheap when it comes to power and a/c but there is a limit, you have to see the product to buy it. I have been here for many years to practice with my guns. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a great range and it seems there is always a spot open to use. No waiting. They also carry a large selection of Guns and amo at pretty good prices. They are conveniently located right off the freeway. When I bought my last gun they were extremely helpful and helped to educate me. read more

I have been in to shoot 3 times since july 2021. Prices are not the cheapest, but the people have always been very helpful to me and my family and they have been accommodating to my disability (I have cancer) and so never rushed me and have always systematically instructed for the operation, loading, and safety of all guns I have rented and shot there. Once I rented a 9mm and it broke and they apologized got me a brand new gun and were friendly about, explaining that the guns due just wear out and that one had probably over 15000 rounds fired thru it. Plan on taking wife and son there tonight to test out our new carbine. read more

I accompanied a friend to the Orem location because I had a good experience previously when my wife and I went there. He wanted to try out a few different pistols before he decided which one to purchase. There's a woman that works there that is terrible in terms of customer service. I could go into details but needless to say she didn't make us want to return. If you read previous reviews from other posters you'll see a trend with her behavior. Quite sad actually. I despise giving companies my money when I'm treated terribly. The worst part is that we chose this location over the Midvale location after I told my friend that the people here have more personality and were friendly. Boy was I wrong. read more

I have to give the place for starts for making my girlfriend's first experience so great.they gave her a lot of extra tops, and one guy even let us use his personal .22 to shoot (in addition to what we rented). As we wrapped up they gave her a free t-shirt and let her hold various guns for pictures. It wasn't a busy time, but they all went above and beyond and she is into shooting now... Prices are ok when you do the date deal. Unlimited rentals (conditional), eyes and ears, 100 rounds of 9mm for $45 but you have to buy their ammo for it. I am very familiar with my firearms but every time I rent I'm treated rudely. The employees act like I am a burden every time I ask a question or even want a different gun. In the 10 times I've shot there, only one person has not given me an attitude. Essentially I get a bad vibe being there, like I'm not wanted. It's just unnecessary. read more

I came into the store today to see if i could process the form online now for a silencer i purchased from them. The person that does the process gave me an attitude before i had any chance of asking any more questions. I have never bean treated like trash and talked down to at a gun store in my life. I came back in a few hours later to ask for a refund and i didnt even open my mouth and the guy started in again with me. How disappointing because i had purchased 2 guns from them and some of the workers treated me with respect. There are better stores in the area then this one, avoid at all cost. read more

Every time I come in here, the word that ends up floating around my head (which happens to be used by most reviews here as well) is condescending. They are absolutely terrible advocates and ambassadors for the Second Amendment. I imagine someone's on the fence about guns, and potentially nervous about the 2nd amendment, just being so turned off if they happen to come here. They need to realize that they can't make people feel terrible for inquiring about guns, then wonder why the Second Amendment doesn't have more support... Even when I was first getting into guns I would come here and preface any question I had with the fact that I wasn't knowledgeable. And I was still treated like an idiot for even asking certain questions. Not to mention that most of the time I come in here, they give me information that's wrong. If you set yourself up as some tacti-cool genius, then get very basic gun knowledge wrong, you lose all credibility. These guys suck, i went to buy a laser sight and the guy didnt tell me there was no returns after he sold it to me already then blames i shoudve read the receipt! This place kinda sucks, went shooting a while back and rented an ar for my friend to shoot, halfway through shooting the charging handle stopped functioning (couldn't get the bcg back more than half the ejection port). Luckily the rifle was unloaded and I took it back out to the counter. The guy who has helped up explained that they probably hadn't cleaned the rifle in quite some time. I was fine with that, glad that it wasn't something I did, but right after my exchange with the employee ended, another lady walked up and started hounding me, asking why I had broken their rifle. I calmly answered all her questions about how we had treated the rifle and waited for her to realize that this wasn't my fault. All in all the service really wasn't that great, they gave me a hard time for trying to rent because I was from out of state. read more

She also laughed at us because we were unfamiliar with hand guns. I didn't load it right, but geez teach me! I don't recommend this place. You can't go wrong risking another range. Have had both good experiences at Get Some. There range is fun but not "nice", and they have a good selection of rental guns (including full auto). The range lanes are small. I also observed a worker talking to a new shooter. He was a little arrogant and rude. I understand the importance of being strict with safety but this was a different thing. Its sad because this can have a large effect on the new shooters perception of shooting. Other than that, they man not have the lowest prices, but there prices are all around good. They also price match which is great. I would go back, but maybe wouldnt take new shooters there. read more

Husband and I checked this place out to go shooting st there range. What I'd like it was super easy and simple to get all checked in to shoot. We brought our own guns, ear muffs, bullets, and knew basic gun safety so we didn't have to worry about all that. We went in and what found was that the lanes were very small to share. I even think small for one person. My husband and I were for sure cramped in our lane. They give you targets which is nice and you can take it out for a pretty far distance. Personally we will probably be back but it hasn't been the best range I've ever been to. It's worth checking out tho! read more

After a friend in SLC had a group of men follow her and threaten to "grab your p****" I decided it was time for me to (finally) take the women's shooting class. I was a little leery of signing up, because I didn't want a guy to talk down to me or mansplain how to shoot. And I gotta say, my class instructor, Kelly was AWESOME. 1. Respectful Kelly was super respectful of all of the women in the class, and made sure to learn why we were in the class. There were 3 women in my class, and we all wanted to learn for self-defense (one woman was a runner, concerned about creeps and animals). 2. Classroom Teaching Kelly taught us about rounds, shooting styles, etc. I especially appreciate him for saying that, "Choosing a gun is a personal experience. What's a good fit for someone may not be a good fit for you. Try a bunch, and see what you like." He made sure to have a safe class, showing students empty chambers in all of the weapons. He also used plastic guns to teach us shooting stance, grip, etc 3. On the Range The class has around 2 hours of instruction, and 1.5 hours of shooting. Based on what we told him we wanted, Kelly got a range of small/semi-automatic guns. We all agreed we didn't feel the need to test rifles or other guns on the range, so Kelly fit the class to our needs. Kelly made me feel super safe on the range, and was an excellent communicator. He gave feedback we could use, and all the students got specific advice and feedback on what we needed to look out for/correct. TL;DR: If you're a woman thinking about taking the women's shooting class, do it!! read more

My buddy and I decided we needed to have some bro time at the range while I was in town on a visit. First off, this place was huge by L.A standards. We walked in and were immediately surrounded by the most amazing collection of firearms I have ever seen outside of a museum. I was really surprised to see the assortment of different firearms and firearm accessories available in the state of Utah. After a quick tour of the shop we made our way over to the rental counter where we met the owner and one of his range masters. Both super nice and super helpful guys, they helped us with paperwork and all our stupid questions without blinking an eye. The range was nice and clean, well maintained and after we were done prices were also really good. This place overall has some pretty good prices. They have a range that you can shoot at right there inside so that is a huge perk. I have bought a few guns here and I love them all. My sister was excited to conduct some research to purchase her first pistol. We called Get Some Guns & Ammo in Orem to see if they were still doing their rental program during the pandemic, which they said they were and that we could swing by and participate that day. We stopped by and knocked on the door, since the doors locked and they only let so many people in. The girl came to the door and didn't seem very happy that we were there. She simply asked what we were doing there. We explained, to which she responded that they don't really want to rent firearms during the pandemic, because then they have to sanitize them and they only have so much sanitizer. We told her that we had just called and Were assured that we could. We told her that were assured that we could. We told her that we were looking to buy. Their prices tend to be a little bit higher than I can find elsewhere, but if they are going to help us out on the rental side of things, particularly during a pandemic, we will pay a little bit more and get it there. We went to the desk and gave her our ID. I asked her how her day has been, and she said that she didn't want to be there. It was clear that she was unhappy with us because we were there, which meant that she needed to be there. My sister asked her for recommendations for pistols for someone her size, and the girl was absolutely useless. I threw out a few suggestions to which the girl then brought out two of those suggestions. She didn't want to give us more than that, and then gave us one box of ammo and told us that normally we would get to, but because of the pandemic we only get one. After trying those two firearms, as well as the ones I brought, we were then charged $25 for my sister, and $25 for me. I wasn't there shooting the rentals, I was there to help and instruct my sister. Not only did we get charged $50 for renting two firearms for one hour, they only gave us 50 rounds of ammo and made us buy the rest. Talk about a serious bait and switch, and ethical violation. Even after all of that we asked about the firearm that she wanted to buy, and the three people standing there just walked away. After a little while the girl returned and I asked her again about the pistol my sister wanted to buy and was informed that they do have one. I asked Moore about it and it was like pulling teeth to even find out what the price was. Finally we just gave up and left. We went over to Cabela's and bought it there. Frankly, we were royally screwed on that deal and I am encouraging my sister to contest the charge with her credit card company. I've never had such a bad experience had any firearms store in my life, and I've had a lot of experience in a large variety of stores. There are a number of firearms stores in Provo that far, far exceed Get Some By leaps and bounds. It's laughable do you even consider a comparison. What a horrible experience! I had bought a Springfield XDM a month ago from Get Some and negotiated a discount to get them to match the price of another gun store. I went in today to buy another gun but this time the gray haired guy with the pony tail and beard helped me. I tried to get him to match price and he said go to the other store and buy it. Then he hesitated, did some research, told me another store offered it for $20 more than I was asking then he turned his back on me. I walked out feeling disrespected. read more

This place is legit. Were here last weekend with four buddies, all of us from California so we don't have access to machine guns and other kick ass guns like Get Some Guns rents to the public. We shot the MP5 and AK47, fully auto, and then fired 500 rounds out of various .223 assault rifles. Prices are extremely reasonable and if you are looking to buy a gun they had a ton. read more

I have been here quite often, and not once has an employee try to push a sale on me. Their staff (which there are always enough employees here) have been friendly (except one old guy who just has RBF). Their employees all seem very knowledgable about guns, and excited to help their customers. The range could be upgraded a bit (-1 star), but it works. GetSome has plenty of rentals to choose from, and keep them in just as good, or better condition, than its competitors. Product on the floor is diverse and voluminous. Prices aren't as good as another local shop, but easily beat the bigger outdoor retails. I have purchased a handgun here, and the process took 10 minutes WITHOUT a CWP. I did take my CWP class here, and the instructor was super knowledgable, entertaining, and friendly. Get Some! read more

Very disappointed in the manager at this store. Went in to get a gun and they told me that it was 10% off and on further asking the man then told us it was 7% off with card and 10% with cash. I told them I only had half in cash and the manager who was in hearing distance laughs and says "still 7% tell them nice try". I felt as if he were questioning my integrity which is very distasteful in the fact I'm spending a good amount of money. So to the manager at guns and ammo I will not be returning to your store and will be telling anyone I know not to do so. read more

What a great buying experience! My wife was with me and very uneasy about the whole gun purchasing situation. All of the Gentleman at get some were super nice and made my lady feel at ease about everything. I purchased my gun at $30 cheaper than the local big box gun stores and even though I had to drive from Farmington to Orem to get the specific piece I was searching for it was well worth the drive. I broke in the new gun on the range and my wife was still uneasy about guns and left the range and the kind gentleman behind the counter continued to speak with her about gun safety and to not be afraid. I bought another box of ammo to get comfortable with the gun and my wife was able to be around the gun through the whole second box of ammo. Thanks guys for making it a smooth transaction for my first gun purchase and making my gal feel at ease about the purchase. read more

We took our son and his friend here for his 18th birthday. It wasn't the first time we have brought him. He always has so much fun. They had a deal going on for 2 people on the same lane for I think $50 so our daughter had gotten him a $50 gift card. Of course that only includes the initial ammo. But enough to have a fun day. The change of weapons was unlimited. The boys loved trying out a lot of different weapons. We added the extra ammo until the guys had their fill. If there is any such thing. I purchased a brand new Springfield XD's 45 from this store, 1 week later I called and asked if I could trade it in or sell it, because it didnt fit in my hand well. Now I paid $642 for this gun from this shop one wk earlier, I was offered $300 less than half I paid, still brand new, unfired, mint....This is an in-demand highly popular pistol. This store is just like a lot of others who have jumped on the gouging wagon, I hope you enjoy the ride until all the new guns bills are past, because after that all the people you screwed wont give your business the time of day.
