Rani, first and foremost, listens carefully to her patients. She provides hands-on treatments and effective exercise programs that are always geared towards the evolving needs of her patients. I saw her originally for persistent knee pain and sciatica. She worked closely with me to diagnose the issues and to present the best treatment plan, which included targeted exercises--which she both demonstrated and supervised, so that I could practice them correctly and effectively. She also provided in-office ancillary treatments, such as dry needling and gentle manipulation, which helped much to ease the discomfort. She was able to curtail a painful & disheartening situation that definitely would have dragged on much longer and more painfully without her care. When I later sprained my ankle badly, Rani helped me through that as well, facilitating a better and smoother recuperation than would have otherwise been. To start,…read moreI'm the manager of the gym, but my experience with Nicole is something that I just HAD to share. For a couple of years, I've had chronic low back pain... from what? I'm not really sure (years of sitting a desk and other bad daily habits). Resting, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, ART, yoga... nothing helped long term. After my first evaluation from Nicole, she had figured out that my facets were out of whack in my low back. No one had ever mentioned this before, so it seemed promising. I saw her once a week for a little over a month and when I wasn't seeing her, I had tons of exercises to do on my own and she was constantly checking in on me to see how things were progressing. Well after a couple of months, I have a new range of motion that I've never felt before. No pain. My abs and glutes are activating better. And many areas of restriction have faded away. I can't tell you how great it is to finally be able to not just lift weights and workout without that pain, but to even just bend over to get my shoes in the morning! The facility seemed a bit outdated, which was a bit upsetting since physical therapy is a growing field and new technology is constantly being developed to improve the experience. She also made a couple comments/jokes that made me slightly uncomfortable; not scared in any way, but I didn't feel they were appropriate to say when meeting someone for the first time. I'm sure she is great, but I feel that you really need to trust and enjoy your physical therapist, which was not the case for me. I've since gone to a different location in Boulder for physical therapy and love it. The facility is updated, staff is incredibly friendly, and I feel very confident that I am receiving the right care.
