The job that my wife and I have requires us to work some rather odd hours so when we do stay somewhere being able to sleep at some rather odd hours is always a bonus. And by saying being able to sleep what I mean is people checking out at 10:00 a.m. with their kids running up and down the halls making noise and the hotel staff cleaning the rooms sometimes having loud conversations. All of this is perfectly fine usually because typically nobody is trying to sleep at 10:00 in the morning except for me. This place worked out well because they have individual bungalows. There is no hallway to run up and down and make noise and make noise, there are neighbors but there's a space in between each bungalow so you're not going to hear them. We didn't actually check in for my Friday night stay until about 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet and we were able to get to sleep rather quickly. The room itself was super clean, The kitchen did not have a stove or a hot plate however we weren't really in need of one. They did have some snacks available as complimentary in the room. Nothing huge I mean a couple granola bars and some oatmeal and a couple little bags of chips however compared to other places I've stayed that offer nothing except a vending machine down the noisy hallway... Yeah this was much better :-) If you're looking to do something in the Skaneateles area , this place is literally 2 minutes down the road from the center of town. They of course offer a late check in arrangement that I was very happy to take advantage of. They leave your room key in a secure area with a note that has any information you may need and an emergency phone number if you need to wake them up for anything. So I by all means recommend staying here If you're in the area.

They permit guests to have dogs and our house showed no evidence of pets. I would not recommend the ground floor master suite to an elderly couple only because the ceiling height is dangerously low above the commode and both my husand and I almost knocked ourselves out more then once when decending and ascending. Our niece and nephew had a rough night due to street (truck) noise, our other upstairs guests heard the street noise as well but were less bothered. My husband and I had no issues sleeping. Good queen sized bed, great water pressure in the shower, television, small sofa and a really nice view out of the window. Absolutely everything you could ask for from a motel and only 4 miles from the lake. We…read moreloved staying at this 3-bedroom house for our Girlfriend Getaway, and we definitely plan to be back. The owner, Tammy, was speedy-quick responsive and helpful. She provided thoughtful touches like snacks and drinks and even a Covid test kit! The decor is retro-80s, but the house is in great condition, and the important things are new: beds, fridge, stove, linens and towels, etc. It was a 4-minute drive to downtown Geneva and Lake Seneca. There are parking spaces for two cars, and Tammy has surrounded the house with happy yellow flowers. It is near the train tracks, but they only seem to run during the day--we slept well every night I had originally booked this so my family could stay with me for the Musselman Half Ironman--it sleeps at least 5 and has plenty of room for my bike and gear downstairs. But I got injured while training and broke a few ribs, so it landed up being a girlfriend weekend. This home was so comfortable and convenient and clean--we can't wait to be back!

Quaint and charming, yes but also spacious and luxurious at the same time. The common areas are beautiful and huge. The front room has two fireplaces (one at each end). Perfect for sitting and relaxing with a coffee or tea if you happen to be there in the fall or winter. The rooms are spacious as well. But what really sets the place apart is the friendly and accommodating atmosphere provide by owners Joe and Kathy and THE FOOD! This is no basic eggs, bacon and pancake place in the morning. Breakfast usually consist of 3 to 4 courses, everyone of which is a delight to all the senses. Some of my favorites are the candied bacon, ham & cheese sliders and the pan-shake (a pancake and syrup flavored milkshake made with real pancakes, syrup, ice cream and milk)...YUM. We chose to stay here for our elopement at Toughannock Falls (5 minutes away) and it was perfect in every way. We stayed in the Junior Suite which had 2 bedrooms, creating the perfect getting ready space. The bedding is luxurious and so comfortable. The room had a fireplace and the bathroom had a standing shower and a tub. I regret that I didnt take pictures of the room, only videos, but if you look on their website, they have detailed pictures of every toom available! Guests have access to the entire downstairs, which includes a living room, a dining room, a tea room with many tables, a microwave, and a tea station, and a study type room that has an honor bar and a record player. The outside grounds are absolutely stunning, with flowers everywhere. The fountain out front was the perfect location for a first look! We had a traveling hair/makeup artist and our photographer come to the location and staff were fine with this and at times, we had the whole place to ourselves. I later learned that the space hosts micro weddings up to 23 people (I think this is how many people can be hosted on the property). This hotel is self service. When you enter, there is a key to your room waiting and some info booklets. There is a number to call an on-site staff but there is not a staff in the main house all the time. It was very very quiet and comfortable. I could hear that there were other guests in the hotel at times but I couldnt make out voices or conversations which was nice. Literally the only inconvenience we ran into was when our takeout order didnt come with utensils or napkins. We couldn't find any on site which surprised me based on the other things that were provided, like ice machines, glasses, tea stations, alcohol, etc. Just a small thing to remember if you stay here! The cutest little breakfast and dinner spots are nearby as well. It really is the perfect little Ithaca retreat and so close to so many waterfalls ans activities. I cant wait to go back!

TIP: ask for a room with a jacuzzi. after a long day its a nice way to relax before climbing in bed. Wayne made the experience very relaxing and at home. Some other reviews must be by those hard-to-please or never-satisfied types based on the silly things they mentioned. If you are looking for problems you'll always find them. B&B should be R&R. That's what it was and means return trips are to be planned.

The day we were to arrive we were told not all beds were made up, linens were supposed to be provided as per the contract. We also found out the beach area we enjoyed last year was off limits, the beach access was actually on the other side that they owned and to access it you have to duck under a low hanging willow tree and it's muddy. I text them when I found this out and asked them to call me and got ignored. The week was fine and after we left we got an email about 3 days later completely nit picking everything about our stay. They ended up charging us $300 for going over the number of renters allowed. Contract states north cottage 6, south cottage 8. We had 5 in north and 7 in south, 12 TOTAL, 4 of which were small children. They claim he made me a deal because of the number of renters. I rented both cottages for the purpose of having extended family. Tried calling and texting and again got ignored. His wife emailed but wanted to talk to him because I set this rental up with him not her. We were also charged for a board on the dock because the boat I rented pulled out a screw on the mooring whip. There was a charge to clean the grill down below because there was grease and they claimed it took a half hour to clean. Cleaning charge for south cottage. I feel like we went over both cottages pretty well and the place was ready to rent. We cleaned, wiped everything down and are pretty fussy ourselves. Would not go back.
