As a WVU alumnus, I remembered Daniel's Menswear, found the store online, and decided to go there. From the moment we arrived, Phil greeted us warmly. After I briefly explained our difficult and stressful situation, he immediately stepped in with professionalism, compassion, and confidence, assuring us that he would take care of everything--and he absolutely did. Phil quickly understood our needs, preferences, and immediate timeline. He helped us select the right attire with care and efficiency, making a very overwhelming situation much easier to manage. After we checked out, Phil encouraged us to relax and have lunch while the tailoring was completed, promising to text us when everything was ready. Remarkably, we received his message before we had even finished lunch. We picked up our clothing and were able to move on to the many other responsibilities we had to handle before the funeral. Phil's service, along with the tailor's quick and excellent work, went truly above and beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere. The manager, whose name I didn't get (tall, blonde hair, blue eyes), refused it for three reasons: 1.) It was missing the tags. I had the confirmation email which he refused to look at. 2.) He said I had worn it, which obviously I had? I would need to put it on to determine whether or not it fit & I was satisfied with it. 3.) Manager's discretion. He refused to elaborate. The suit, for all intents and purposes was in perfect condition. The manager was obstinate and condescending throughout the entire interaction, and tried to compare me returning a suit with a 90 day return policy to trying to return a car to a dealership. When I pointed out how flimsy that logic was and reiterated Men's Warehouse's return policy to him, he became really condescending and rude. I ended up driving an hour into Pittsburgh to return my suit at a different location, which they accepted, no questions asked. The manager at this location seriously needs to get off his pedestal and start treating people with an ounce of respect, and he's clearly projecting some issues onto people that are forced to interact with him. Last time I ever buy something at Men's Warehouse because of him.

When I contacted the store to correct it and asked for the past year's missed offer, the owner (Tom Michael) refused, even though the mistake was caused by their own staff. Instead of honoring the gift card I should have received, I was only offered a donation made "in my name" to a charity. While that may sound generous, it doesn't solve the original problem, and it left me feeling like the store wasn't willing to take responsibility for their own oversight. It was a very small request and could have been resolved easily with good customer service, but it wasn't. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend shopping here or trying to resolve any issues directly with the owner. There are plenty of other stores that value their customers and stand behind their promotions.
