Been here a couple of times. Big spacious bar and restaurant with plenty of parking outside, plenty of seating inside. The food and the drinks are delicious. I highly recommend the French onion soup. Ladies night special on Wednesday's! Selected drink specials until 2am! What I love about this place is that they provide you with great customer service and the late night bites and food are delicious. This place is a great to hangout with friends and family. We ordered the pizza and I believe on Wednesday's if you order pizza you get a pitcher of beer. I really wanted to try the fried pickles but they didn't have any! So next time I will definitely come back to try them. We also ordered chicken tenders that come with French fries and that was paired with honey mustard. It was super good and crispy. I also loved the mini corn dogs because it reminded me of my childhood snacks! The spinach dip was good as well. I will start off by saying I was skeptical about coming to the new location because of negative experiences from the old location. My husband wanted to come here to eat and I tried telling him the food was mediocre. He insisted so went. We decided to sit outside because the patio was empty. We looked over the menus and we were greeted not too long after we sat down. I asked about drink specials and they were not that cheap or enticing so I went with some martini. Hubby went for a beer. I could not find anything that looked good for me to order and then my husband was indecisive so we ordered the tomato cheese bread to start. I have had this at the old location and remember it being good. It actually was such a large portion that we were full and did not order anything else. My plan was to eat at Steak n Shake later but did not need to. The service was good and the food was good. You cannot smoke on the patio and the prices were a little steep for such a chill place. They are one of the few places around with late hours but I'm not sure if they serve food that late. read more

Service was good. Problem was playing music.....guys playing darts literally leaned on the juke box to not interrupt their songs. After waiting until they were done I proceeded to play a couple of songs but when I realized that I was missing some songs I thought it was my mistake so I put more money in and played them again. I waited again because somebody else payed money to "play next" so obviously I waited some more when I checked the jukebox again I realized that the songs I picked mysteriously disappeared. I hadn't been to Geronimo's Grill since they had moved to their current location. When it was in the plaza by NSU I was a frequent diner there because it was close by my work. I didn't even know where they had moved to until I made plans at a nearby art workshop & needed to find a close by place to eat. A friend recommended going to Geronimo's. First of all; the location is great! It is in the big corner area of the shopping center on Stirling Road & University Drive. It's also really big! There is a large seating area outside, and a big bar area in the center inside. There are tables and high tops, of varying sizes, all around the bar,; and then there are some partly enclosed rooms that surround the big room. The menu is really varied as well: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and full dinners. They also have a full liquor bar. (Plus a plethora of specials are featured on the walls!) I was part of a group of 5. We sat at a low table right by the door because we had adults and a two year old. The staff was quick to give menus to the adults and a coloring sheet for the little one. We were in a hurry, so we ordered quickly. The food came out pretty fast tool. They were moderately busy on a early Thursday evening....but it is a really big place to fill. I had the grilled chicken, (blackened,) with a side of broccoli. The portion was big...2large breasts, cooked just right. The price was on the high side, $18.99, so I'm glad it was a big portion. My friend had the Philly sliders on pretzel buns. She said they were pretty good, but nothing special. Her daughter had the quesadilla, and again it was just ok. They both ordered sides of onion rings, and both thought they had a kind of strange taste to them....not bad, but not great either. As for drinks I had beer; it was cold & brought out fast and happy hour prices were great! My friend had a red wine; and she liked the wine; plus it was a huge pour! As for cocktails; another friend had a double tanqueray; which was kind of expensive at $18. The staff was friendly & since it's not too far away, it's big, and has outdoor seating; I will definitely give Geronimo's another try. My boyfriend took me here for the first time to try wings. OMG !! Best @%# WINGS I EVER ATE. But wait they're fried mushrooms that was incredible. Every bite you can taste. It's so hard to describe the juice that burst in your mouth and it wasn't even cold. It was temperature was just right. We order another one. And just the other day we went back to say that they removed it off the menu. WHY 87 it . I was give all five I have to give four stars because you guys decided to remove the fried mushrooms I OK but it's something mushrooms now I have to master it at home. Great place to hang out and socialize. Big bar takes up majority of space so there is room for social distancing. Loads of my favorite beers on tap. Great appetizers and plenty of Chef made dinner entrees. Big juicy hamburgers served on a fresh bun is a favorite. So is the Philly steak sandwich. Came out to the Newer Location. I was a regular at the older spot..but I must say the food is still the same. It was good to see some of the previous servers as now bartenders and i management positions. After a very disappointed dinning experience in the previous stop, we found this place with our previously marked bookmark. I remember that when we first came here, the place was not opened yet so we had our happy our next door which the visit was surprisingly pleasant. Since we were in the area again and this place has been open for a while, this makes the best time to visit. The place look like a very typical sports bar. With a lot of large TV all across the dinning area so you could not miss any action during game time. We sat at the bar as usual and start look over their menus. I ordered a beer to start off and ordered something from their appetizer menu. At the time mini corn dogs with fries sounds very appetizing. And when it came out, we weren't disappointed at all. The fries were nicely cooked and corn dogs were pretty good too. Since we had pretty good luck with the first dish we ordered, we decided to get another drink and order another food items. We figured since I love wings, let's see if they know how to make them right, And when the wings came out, they might look a bit dry but still decent. The wings were cooked nicely but my wife and felt maybe the taste might be a bit salty for our palate. Over all we enjoyed our visit. The service was very good. Our bartender lady was very friendly and took good care of us. They got a very good beer selection so it's all good for me in my book. Food was mostly decent except the wings were a bit salty. I love to come here late night to have some drinks. This has become my place to go too when I wanna hang out and have a drink especially because they're open late (yes even with covid). They also have a jukebox where you can control the music. I'm only rating it 3 stars because although I like it here, I wish their food was better. Sometimes when your girl is starting to feel a little buzzed; she wants to grab a bite and eat but all their food is pretty much garbage. I've had the wings which were flavorless. I've tried their chips and salsa which is literally tostitos chips and Tostitos salsa. The pork rinds also look like the ones that come straight from the bag. My family and I have been here a few times to watch the dolphins games when they are away as we have season tickets. The food here is really good and the service as well. They make the games a fun event My only issue is my daughter always ordered a certain cocktail and it was always $10. The last time we went to Geronimo's to watch a game our bill came and they rang each of her drinks as $17 each. We found that to be shocking. We questioned it and was advised that is the price. I asked for a manager and was told there was not one on duty. I ended up paying the bill. I called the manager a couple of days later and was told that is the price. No satisfaction. Maybe ask the price of your drink before ordering. I felt I was ripped off. This is Davie not Las Olas or Miami Beach. $17 for a drink is ridiculous especially on Davie. read more

Members of "Let's Eat South Florida" recommended this place for the ribs. Today, we went for lunch. 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant and outdoor seating. I ordered full rack of ribs with a side of salad. Friend ordered 1/2 rack of ribs and french fries. Other friend ordered onion rings and a burger (not sure which)... He didn't eat his burger and took it home. Friend and I looked at one another and rolled our eyes upon first bite of the ribs. Cook put the ribs under the broiler and forgot about them... COMPLETELY dried out.. Waitress service was sporadic. Every 15 minutes or so, she would wander by.... never asking us if we wanted any water, or dessert.. No. Would not recommend. No. Would not suggest the ribs here. Yes - I would suggest you steer clear of this place. Lunch was horrible. Waitress had a serious attitude problem. Don't waste your time or money, here. read more

I have eaten here several times and I still don't see the appeal of this place. The food is average to below average and the service has never been great. We decided to go here on a Thursday night because my wife had eaten her with her friends and really liked it. I agreed to give it another try. The restaurant was not too crowded; however, they did have a fair amount of people at the bar. They sat us in the back room and that was fine. Our seating area started out quiet. The service also started out decent although she did take a little while to greet us. After that, the service quickly went downhill. The appetizer came before the drinks. I can't say that has ever happened before. We almost finished the appetizer before the drinks arrived. It then became even more bizarre. My wife's and my meals came before the kids meals. I ordered chicken fingers and fries and she ordered a soup and a small salad. What happened to the kids meals? What next? Our server completely forgot about us. She took our order and then we didn't see her again. It's like she disappeared. I had to go to the bar to ask for a drink refill. And then... a group of people who were drinking and being very loud decided to hang out where we were sitting. Really? You had the entire restaurant and you had to pick our area. At this point, I couldn't wait to leave. We wrapped up the kids meals, paid the bill and left. Oh, and by the way, it took at least ten minutes to pay the bill. I had to give the check and my credit card to the bartender. Where was our server? Did she get cut in the middle of her shift and went home? Needless to say, I probably won't be going back here. I love coming here to relax and catch up with a couple of friends who live in the area. The beer is served cold and it is not so loud where you cannot hear the other person talk. We came here for late night drinks and food. I was pleasantly surprised with how large the place was. It was dark and cold from the air conditioning. This spot is right next door to Nova University so there were lots of young college kids hanging out there. We grabbed a booth and our waiter was quick and efficient. There were quite a few Tv's and the bar was large. I ordered a blueberry beer to start. Since I wasn't too hungry, I ordered the mini corn dog appetizer. That came with quite a few mini corn dogs and wedge fries; it was crispy and delicious paired with honey mustard. The drinks and food were affordable. It's open until 4am and after 1am, they allow smoking inside. I wasn't a fan of that since it was making me wheezy after a while. In the end, would I return? Yes. The food was actually pretty good and so was the service. I gave it 3 stars because it was kind of divey (not clean looking), the cigarette smoke, and it's super cold inside. It's hard to like a restaurant and desire to return as a customer if you feel like you are in the way and not welcome on your first visit. We called in a take out order and my partner was transferred 3 times before his order was taken. However, it was a busy Friday evening. I arrived at designated time to pick up order. The hostess advised that I should go to the end of the bar for takeout order. At the end of the very long bar by an order screen, I had to stand behind a seated patron and try not to be in the way of the servers that were bustling in an out to enter orders, collect drinks and charge credit cards. There was no good area for me to stand in without being in another patron's personal space (who looked at me awkwardly and I didn't blame him). Employees kept saying excuse me to me as there was no good area for me to wait. I asked a female employee for help to pick up an order. She said ok I will get back to you and proceeded to ignore me and she did not appear to be very busy. I looked back at the hostess at entrance and she was busy browsing her cell phone. After quite awhile, someone finally assisted me to pick up my take out order. It is just too much of a hassle for a pick up order, we are not willing to try eating there. Geronimo Grill serves better than average bar food including Greek dishes such as Gyro platter and hummus plate. They have a long bar and endlesd TV screens. You want it to be better than it actually is for food and to give them another chance since you have fond memories of their old location just up University Drive. Happy hour drink and food specials are very well priced. The bar is huge and has an impressive number of beers on tap. From the appetizers menu, we've shared the chicken fajita quesadilla, mozzarella sticks and the hot spinach artichoke dip. The chicken in the quesadilla was so over cooked and dry that our table of 6 didn't finish it. I'm sure this may be better prepared on another night. We enjoyed the spinach dip and mozzarella sticks though and would order them again. Lunch and dinner entrees have been mediocre at best. Twice I've been disappointed by their complete lack of flavor. The menu has quite a few Greek dishes on it, and I love Greek food. The chicken gyro platter though was barely passable. This is warm chicken breast on a warm pita topped by chopped tomatoes, onion and feta with a side of tzatziki. I don't know what it was, but the side tasted rancid and nothing like tzatziki. I actually spit it out. The chicken was cooked fine, but desperately needed seasoning. Sooooo bland. Needed tzatiki. I found myself putting salt on every bite to try and save the meal. If you're going to serve chicken gyro, the chicken should be seasoned and briefly marinated in a yogurt sauce and the tzatziki should rock. Otherwise, just put a grilled chicken sandwich on the menu. The Greek salad it came with was very good and well portioned. My table mate on this last lunch visit had the corned beef Rueben sandwich with French fries. He said it was ok. The fries were decent. My grilled mahi sandwich on a prior visit was just ok too, and needed seasoning as well. Overall, I want to like Geronimos. The service is fine, but could be better. Maybe I just need to order a hamburger or Philly cheesesteak there and I'll be satisfied. I really wish their food was better seasoned. With Vinnie's restaurant practically next door, with great food and prices for lunch, Geronimos is really going to have to up its game. read more

Came into the bar for a drink & bite to eat last night. Our server Crystal, was great; she was attentive & food was delicious.   Here's the thing, there was a group of girls that were obnoxiously loud & making a spectacle of themselves. They were especially rude to the bartender (a tall bearded guy), getting in his face, cursing at him & really, just the epitome of trash. I don't know how the male bartender was to able keep his composure the way they were coming at him. He didn't take the bait, he even offered to pay their tab all while they continued to curse him out until he just walked away. (Kudos to him.) Frankly, it was uncomfortable to watch. This is not an atmosphere any normal person would want to be in when trying to relax & have a drink or meal, it even felt unsafe. If this behavior is acceptable & these kinds of patrons are welcomed, I'd rather go spend my money somewhere else. Loved the chicken tenders though & gave 3 stars for service & food. read more

I visited this establishment on Saturday night the 4th and was immediately impressed by our entire experience thanks to Klintz, Rick and Joe. I was immediately greeted by the bartender Rick. The drinks and service were exceptional. He walked me through the menu making recommendations. I was hesitant to try the escargot, but I'm so glad I did because it was incredible! I have traveled all over the world and their French onion soup is the best I've ever had. I also ordered the delicious wings and my husband got the Greek gyro. We were extremely impressed with how extensive the menu was, and we had many options for both of our tastes. Next time we would like to bring some friends and family with us because there are so many options there were definitely choices for everyone. The best part is Geronimos has food until 3am instead of eating fast food. This place is truly a HIDDEN GEM. There are plenty of TVs and it's a perfect family atmosphere for a restaurant. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our dining experience. The staff interacted with everyone in the restaurant as if it were a family gathering. We loved how attentive the bartenders were, we never had to wait for a drink or service, but they also included us in fun conversation and were very entertaining. My husband is a beer aficionado and they have an extensive beer selection. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back as long as the same bartenders are working because they truly made it a special, one of a kind experience for us. I met some friends here for happy hour last night (Friday). I shared one the happy hour's entrees, a roasted tomato bread. It was like a French bread topped with cheese, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. It was tasty. I also ordered a happy hour drink, a Malibu Pineapple. It was generous in size and good. The atmosphere was really noisy. They had music playing fairly loud, so we could only talk to the person right next to us unless we really raised our voices. The service was really good. There was nothing wrong with the place, but nothing too exciting from my point of view. If you go, realize that it's in the back of the Target plaza.
