Always take it to his residence. I use a hybrid string setup (RPM blast and natural gut) and when I have it done by someone good my strings rarely break but bad stringers I will always get a broken string. Paul's stringing hasn't broken on me until well after the lifespan of the strings has passed (like a year later which is way past when I should have had it restrung with new strings anyway since my setup loses effectiveness naturally after a month or so). Racket always plays great and he is very knowledgeable if you have any questions. So happy he is available to do this. Pricing is reasonable too. 5 stars!

Paul had so many great ideas about our event and got me in touch with all the right people in the tennis world. And Paul and Hot Shot Uptown Tennis donated some of his own rackets to our event. We were able to grow the game of tennis for future generations and we raised a lot of money for an injured youth in our hometown who is now back home and walking again and ready to play tennis with everyone in her hometown. The pro shop, however, is lacking. They are Head brand only, prices for string and stringing are high, selection of string is poor, and you'll pay for string + the full stinging fee, no discount for buying string there, which is customary. I also have a very strong suspicion they strung my racquet at significantly less tension than requested--more than 10 lbs less--twice. Twice I've had work done on a racquet (3 if you count the free re-string they gave me): the first for a new grip, the second a restring. Those took 2 and 4 days(!) respectively, both double their estimate. And on both occasions they didn't call to say the work is done, as promised.

I went to Banner House expecting a relaxing afternoon--lunch and some time by the pool. What I…read moredidn't expect was an absolute lack of security at what's supposed to be a private and exclusive club. Five cars were broken into in broad daylight, over the course of just 2 hours. My own car sustained over $12,000 in damage--and that's not even counting the stolen items. Was the club helpful? No. Did they call the police or have them respond? Also no. Banner House advertises private security. So where was it? Instead, we had teenage kids walking around freely while an apparent criminal loitered in the parking lot. It felt unsafe and completely mismanaged. This is absolutely unacceptable. If you're planning to visit to play pickleball or relax by the pool, just know it might end up costing you the price of a rental car, stolen property, a huge deductible, 2 days off work and your peace of mind. With what happened, you have to ask: Is this place really worth a $20,000-a-day price tag?
