Okay guys so I went to this cleaners today wanted them to clean a sweater for me and she's going to tell me I have to pay up front? I'm not sure why I had to prepay wasn't like we're at zips or one of those places where you have to prepay to get your clothes because they know they going to mess it up but they want to make sure they get their money. I was like when did you all become a prepaid cleaners she didn't know what to say the little Chinese lady. I can't believe how horrible the customer service and skills of this shop owner. I tend to use small company as a way to energize the economy but this owner has me questioning that. I needed a pair of pants tailor on the inseam, when I returned to pick up the item and tried them on, there was a 1/2 inch difference between the two pant legs. It looked horrible!!!! I immediately alerted him to the problem, but he refused to look at the item and refused to refund my money. He kept spouting about how I was talking his money. The discussion was a bit heated but this guy refused to listen or even have an adult discussion. I refused to leave and wanted him to call the police, which he did. Unfortunately, I don't have any recourse to stop idiots like this shop owner from suckering other innocent people into wasting their money. He shouldn't be in the business as he is incapable of actually performing the requested change. He will never respect or treat you like a customer, and while I was there another customer entered and hopefully doesn't fall victim to his lack of skill. I urge everyone to avoid this place like the plague. If you manage to get your clothing from this place the way you want it, run for the hills because you are one of the rare lucky ones. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE, DON'T USE THEM. You are better off doing it yourself, you'd probably do it better. read more

Horrible customer service and terrible seamstress skills. My store manager had them hem a pair of his pants... When they were returned, there was loose threads everywhere that had failed to be cut off and the hem was already coming apart. Also took a jacket to have the button sewn back on... Upon receiving the jacket, went to put the button through the loop, it fell out, AGAIN! My manager returned the same day to get it reattached, was super nice about it too, and 'Sean' or 'shawn' however he spells it, screamed at my manager that he was a liar, was trying to bring in a new coat and get one over on him, and told him to get out of his store and never come back. So unprofessional and sad. Guess we need to find a new seamstress now and it's a shame because of how close this one was to our location. Save yourself time, trouble, and dignity and DO NOT go here. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Went in to taper a pair of jeans and when I got them back there was a massive discrepancy between the two pant legs. When I showed him the jeans he said he didn't see it and I should get some more eyes on it. I did so and brought them back again to inform him that friends and family agreed with my previous claim. He refused to fix the pants, nor would he give me a refund. Rather than listening to me or examining the issue he became very hostile and threatened me. I will never do business here again and I do not recommend anyone else to do so either! read more

Avoid !!! "Insult customer" "Fails to admit damage" I went to pick up my suit from this place today. My suit buttons were missing, two of them. When I told the guy, the first reaction from him was "the buttons must be missing "before" I brought my suit in". I told him that, that is "insulting", as if I brought my already missing buttons suit to dry cleaner, so that .. what? I can get a free service or claim on my buttons? Is this world so stupid?? I didn't even ask my money back. This has nothing to do with money or buttons! It's an honesty I'm talking about. If his first reaction was "sorry, I will try to find them" and if he couldn't, I would understand that this thing can happen. He can't just start by insulting customer to get away with his responsibility. That is unacceptable. Your clothes damage, which could happen at any dry cleaner, but do "avoid" "rude and dishonest" customer services from this place!! read more

They did great work on my bridesmaid dress, had to take it in 2 inches and needed a good hem because I'm so fricken short. They were also very fast with the work. But only gets 4 stars because when I got to the wedding I found a safety pin left in the back and two pins inside on the front. If they were angled just a little differently then I would've been poked by them, I'm taking it back to get all of them removed (I couldn't figure out how to get to them). I bought a bathing suit top that needed the straps taken in. Also, there was some pretty intricate designs with the additional straps in the back of the suit that needed to be tightened also. I went to 3 other alteration stores and no one would/could make the alterations. Shawn at Germantown Cleaners easily accepted the challenge. He took his time tacking where each strap needed to be altered. He also ensured me that it would be ready in the time that I needed it completed. Since it was a custom alteration, it was a little bit more pricey than their regular prices, but well worth it. I appreciate his willingness to help when no one else would! read more

I began using Germantown Cleaners after my former cleaners closed shop in 2012. I have been very impressed with the clothing I've given to them to be cleaned. I've had all types of fabric: denim, silk, linen; and fancy buttons, complicated pleats, and multi-pocketed clothing cleaned by Germantown Cleaners and never had a complaint. The owner is a delight, very polite and courteous. I'm glad happenstance directed me to them. I'm a very happy customer. read more

Very poor customer service and a lack of skill. I had a patch sewed on a work shirt for my company. The shirt was a $30 shirt. I had specifically asked them to sew it on a certain way and I even put it on and showed them in the changing room mirror how I wanted it and marked it. When I came to pick it up the patch was crooked and not to standard for my work. I asked them to fix it and they Blamed me for giving them the wrong placement of the patch. I told them I gave them the right placement and I don't make a mistake of how I want it and how my company needs it. They then agree to adjust it for me. Next day I came to pick it up. They told me they did the best they could and the patch was still crooked. The patch was damaged and the stitching around the patch had holes that damaged the shirt. No refund was given to Me. I will never go back to this store again even if it is just down the street. I will travel out a little farer just to get better service. I don't recommend any one to go here if they need a patch for a uniform to be sewed on, they will damage your uniform. read more

I brought my boyfriend's shirt in to be cleaned in June - it was a white tuxedo shirt which he wore once. When I picked it up right before a wedding, I noticed a very large black grease mark on the sleeve cuff. I expressed my concern and the owner said the machine must have done it. He was willing to clean it again. I picked it up the second time and the mark was still there. The owner expressed that he didn't know if it would come out but would clean it again. When I went the third time to pick it up, the mark was mostly gone, however, a few black dots still remained. The woman working there (I had never seen her before) said they would try again. I went there today to pick it up for the FOURTH time, and the dots were still there. The owner was very rude and said that it was the best that they could do, that they tried three times. He showed me that you wouldn't be able to see the mark when the cuff was folded over! I expressed that this was unacceptable. He said it was good work and walked away. I will NEVER return to this business again. read more
