Most people, especially on weekends and days off, have time to go out and shop--but you close quite early, which limits that opportunity. These kinds of hours don't make much sense for a popular bakery. It feels more like an office schedule than a customer-focused business. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. If you aren't able to do the design at all, it would be better to just tell me that you can't at all. I had bought the cake toppers and ribbons (which they said I would need to get and I did) to add to the cake but it looked weird with the fruit on it. We ended up not cutting the cake at all at my wedding but we passed out the regular sheet cake which our guests enjoyed. He was tragically killed by a hit and run driver last year. He was a friendly, outgoing, and a pillar of the community. Truthfully, I teared up at a memorial in the bakery for this family man and excellent chef. We had many conversations when I came in to pick up family occasion cakes. It is hard to believe he is not there. The business is still running under the capable hands of his daughter and son in law ( and his right hand baker- Maria). My granddaughter's cake turned out beautifully and was delicious. The bakery is still here and although I really miss seeing chef Harry, but I am so happy his family continues to honor him and serve delicious baked goods. The filling was about the size of a nickel, while the video on Instagram shows the center of the cake being generously filled with pistachio cream. At just over $8 for one dessert, it wasn't worth the price for what you actually receive. Unfortunately, because of the experience and the misleading expectation, I likely won't be returning.
