We had a fairly simple project but required a permit which they arranged without incident. Work crew did good job and cleaned up well. A few damaged bricks needed to be replaced. Suppliers fault I assume. They did seem to be aggressive on getting staged payments but at the end of the day job done and no surprises

Our experience with Deck and Drive (D&D construction) has been extremely disappointing. From the…read morestart, the work was full of mistakes, poor workmanship, and almost no communication. Pavers were installed in the wrong direction and wrong colors, the walkway was placed incorrectly, cement was left exposed, no underlayment was installed under the sand (so now we have weeds growing up through our pavers), and then they even installed pavers over an active sprinkler head. They repeatedly missed appointments, sent crews during all-day rain (so no work could be done on those days), and ignored our requests for basic protection around our home. Before D&D even started our project, they told our finance company it was "substantially complete," and they tried to collect full payment. Then later, despite the project being nowhere near complete, D&D again told our finance company it was "substantially complete" and tried to collect full payment. Due to the lack of progress, the quality concerns, and D&D's refusal to provide a corrective plan in writing, we no longer felt comfortable allowing them to continue. In response, D&D placed a lien on our home and threatened foreclosure. To protect ourselves, we felt forced into having to hire an attorney to try to rectify all the issues. We have now been in this lawsuit for well over a year, with pallets and sand still blocking our driveway, and our front entrance is still not fully usable. Based on our experience, we can not recommend Deck and Drive (D&D Construction). This review doesn't even represent all of the issues we have with D&D in regard to our project. There are so many issues, we can't even write them all in this review. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns and correcting their mistakes, they chose to pressure, misrepresent progress, and ultimately sue and threaten to foreclose on their customers. We are not the only customers to be involved in a lawsuit against D&D. We are #5.

OK I have to say this, this is rare to see a company in South Florida to be so organized and professional, despite some hiccups of homeowners not following common sense and written instructions on where to temporarily park their vehicles while work was phased in. I was truly surprised to see the how efficient and professionally the work was being done, in some cases they were way ahead of schedule. This all came together by the input and knowledge of their site supervisors and workers coming together like a Swiss Watch. I am not saying this because I do not know their business, but quite the opposite as an active Licensed Building Inspector and Licensed General contractor who actually signs off on the final inspection along with Engineering Department at various Municipalities and Private inspections that I do on a daily basis. Hats off to their on site supervisor/manager for being professional and patient with the homeowners who gave him a difficult time. I highly recommend this company for your next Paving Project. Simply Awesome work.

They did an absolutely wonderful job on my driveway. They were careful and very skilled. I recommend these guys and this company to everyone who is considering having concrete work done or having their driveways paved. Everyone got lots of hot pizza and cold soda for lunch! Thank you! UPDATE: I eventually got my deposit back, but I had to get my attorney involved and it took over a year. Not only did it take 1 year to complete this project (permit delays due to incomplete paperwork and no-shows by A&A Concrete Solutions), but it was also done poorly. Ariel is very quick to collect deposits and will smile in your face and say the right things. But will give you the runaround, odd excuses, or flat out ignore your calls/messages when there is an issue. There are DOZENS of cracks 2 months after the concrete was poured, edges were left unfinished, & the sealant was applied poorly and uneven (see picture). Ariel agreed that the work was done improperly and he would have it fixed. In addition, he made decisions at his own discretion and did not install the drain we discussed. Now there are pools of water every time it rains. When we pointed this out to him he said in order to fix it we would have to tear up the concrete completely and start all over. It was clear he was not at all involved with the project nor supervised his employees. We have spent the past 3 months trying to coordinate with Ariel to fix the work and the items we discussed. Even after agreeing on dates and times to fix the work Ariel and his crew either wouldn't show up or would show up a different day and time where we couldn't supervise or sign off on the incomplete items. Until this day we have been trying to contact them and they have ignored our calls and text messages. Due to their lack of response it looks like we will need to hire another company to fix A&A Concrete Solutions. We are in the process of submitting a complaint to the DBPR and discussing the best next steps with an attorney. We will not be going away until this is resolved. If you have been affected by this company negatively I urge you to share your experiences on all platforms (Yelp, google, Facebook). Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. This company will waste your time, energy, and money.
