Arranged an estimate with Jaime: no call, no text, NO SHOW. If this is how they conduct business, I'm not interested. They are off my list.

Towngate Park and Pool

Towngate Park and Pool

There are also tennis courts and a baseball diamond. It's buddy around with teams practicing and playing. There is a clubhouse that you can rent but good luck trying to find the right person to book an event. I once booked and was bumped out by an HOA that said they cleats have the tool on the same night every month. That was not correct.

Most of the large single family homes and townhouses were built in 2000. The neighborhood is prized for its safety and proximity to a plethora of shopping and restaurant options. The Towngate Park has a large number of amenities which include an indoor fitness center, a recreation center for classes and a hall for rent, 4 lighted tennis courts, 1 lighted football/soccer field which requires a permit, 1 lighted baseball/softball field, 2 lighted basketball courts, a gazebo, exercise path, a kiddie pool, and a swimming pool. Unfortunately the playground is closed. A number of classes, camps, and events are held in the park including the MTTC Tennis Academy. A lot of people were enjoying the park during my visit. It was so nice to see so many people enjoying outdoor recreation. Whether you are coming for recreation, education, or play, Towngate Park has something for everyone.

Rose G Price Park

Rose G Price Park is a beautiful ten acre neighborhood park in the Chapel Trail development. The…read morepark was named in honor of beloved grandmother Rose Price who served Pembroke Pines as a civic leader, philanthropist, and champion of the elderly since 1979. After eleven years of dedicated service she resigned in 1990 after breaking her hip. Rose passed away in 1997 at the age of 83 leaving a legacy of stronger senior services in Pembroke Pines. I stopped by the park to walk off some holiday treats consumed this past month. There is a paved loop that winds around the park which is ideal for exercise. Other park amenities include a lighted baseball/softball field, lighted basketball court, swimming pools,, paddle ball courts, a shade covered playground, lighted hard tennis courts, and an event and party hall that can be rented. What makes this park unique is the Miracle Baseball Diamond which allows children with special needs to play baseball on a padded field. I found Rose G. Price Park to be a welcoming and a well-kept community outdoor recreational space that's great for all ages. The park offers plenty of open green space, making it a nice spot for relaxing, picnicking, or other outside activities. The playground areas, pool, and safe, friendly atmosphere make it especially nice for families with children. The walking paths and seating areas well maintained. Overall, Rose G. Price Park is a pleasant neighborhood park that provides a calm and peaceful space for the community.

The Swim Academy

After missing enrollment for May at the Davie pool, I started researching other swim school. We…read morecame across the Swim Academy and decided to give it a try. I have to say that we are blown away with the school, the instructors, the ease of scheduling (we have 3 kids) and just their kindness and knowledge working with our girls. Coach Leeza and coach Nick have been wonderful and the other instructors are also great! They have a 3 kid max per group and 2 instructors per group! They also have sibling discounts! We are very happy and pleased with our choice to give them a chance!

I registered my child for swim lessons with them when I received a coupon. Well, I now understand…read morewhy they need to lure people in with coupons. The level of incompetence at this particular swim school is astounding. On what would have been our first lesson, I received a call asking whether we could come in early as they had some openings. I said absolutely, packed up my toddler, loaded in to the car and headed off. As I'm pulling in to the parking lot 10 minutes later, I receive another phone call stating that due to the weather they cannot conduct the earlier lesson (it is now disclosed that the pool is outdoors). And informing me that my originally scheduled lesson cannot be canceled yet as they don't do weather cancellations more than 30 minutes prior to a lesson. At this point I requested to cancel the $340 lessons and requested a refund as we hadn't yet begun. This is where the true frustration began. Initially they advised that the refund would be processed immediately. 5 weeks later, still not having been received, I contacted my bank who confirmed no refunds had been received and then reached out to the swim academy and asked whether an issue had occurred. They immediately emailed me an account summary stating a refund had been sent. Another week goes by, and no refund. So I email again indicating that the refund hadn't been received. I receive a response telling me refunds may take 4-5 business days. Well, as it's been roughly 30 business days, I'd say we're well past that. So I respond indicating that the refund was supposedly processed 6 weeks ago, TO WHICH THEY RESPOND " Great! Glad to hear the refund went through!" This is why children should not run your business (there may be an adult somewhere in the building but unfortunately they were never bothered with or informed of my issue).

Midtown Athletic Club - Exterior / Outdoor pool

Midtown Athletic Club

Good afternoon, I…read morewas a member of Midtown Athletic Club in for three months in the summer of 2019 and I spent nearly every other day at the facility. Not only are the grounds well maintained, the view of the nearby lake is stunning (particularly from the portico), the equipment is first-rate, and the health instructors are passionate about their craft. I was able to take part in a fitness challenge consisting of several CrossFit-like events (the Midtown Challenge) and I learned several fundamentals of Tennis during my time with the Club. Should I move back to the South Florida region I would not hesitate to re-initiate my membership as the first order of business. Thank you for reading and have a good day. Sincerely, Winston Sanks Brighton, Massachusetts

I joined this club expecting a premium experience, especially at more than $300 per month…read more Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. The gym is consistently overcrowded, equipment is often unavailable, and parking can be extremely frustrating. For a club charging this much every month, I expected far better access, convenience, and overall value. One of the main reasons I joined was specifically to become part of a tennis community. Unfortunately, that has probably been the most disappointing part of my experience. The members running the so-called tennis groups have, in my experience, been unwelcoming and at times outright rude. Instead of feeling like a club that encourages members to connect, play, and build a community, the tennis side seems far more focused on lessons, coaching, and bringing in additional paying students. That was especially disappointing because at this price point, members should feel like they are actually part of a club -- not simply another source of revenue. At $300+ per month, I simply do not believe the experience justifies the cost. I have dealt with overcrowding, difficulty using equipment, parking issues, an unwelcoming tennis environment, and what feels like a constant emphasis on finding additional ways to charge members. I joined hoping to find a premium gym and a strong tennis community. Instead, I am leaving feeling that the club is far more focused on maximizing revenue than creating a positive experience for its members. I will be canceling my membership.
