His shop does great work, he is extremely friendly and best of all he is as honest as the day is long. I met Sam after another auto repair shop (Belden's Auto on Prue) told my girlfriend that she had a blown head gasket on her Explorer. They claimed to have done multiple leak down tests with it failing each time when she developed a code after she let it overheat. The car had been missing so I figured it was the worst case scenario and believed them. I talked to quite a few places about repair/engine replacement since the first shop immediately tried selling me an overpriced engine. I tracked down and purchased an engine online. After calling around Sam offered me the best price to put it in and allowed me to drop ship it to his shop. In hindsight...I should have just taken the car to Sam and had him look at it. Needless to say the engine showed and I dropped off the Explorer. Sam called that afternoon and said "the engine in her car is fine...you just have a bad plug wire...I'm more than happy to put this new engine in for you but it would be a waste of money." We both laughed and I sent the engine back. He saved me thousands of dollars and could have easily taken me to the cleaners. Needless to say I won't be going back to the first shop ever again. Since then Sam and his team have taken care of my vehicles. I'm writing this because I took my truck in today for the 100k mile service and an oil change on it, and I remembered I'd never written one. He is my "go to" mechanic and I highly recommend him if you want someone you can trust that will do work at a reasonable price.

It appears that information was not communicated to the technician, because the window regulator was damaged after the vehicle was serviced. Rather than informing me of the issue, the door panel was removed, the window regulator was unplugged, panel covers went missing, and several screws were not reinstalled. In addition, both side skirts were damaged while the vehicle was in the shop's possession. I had previously reattached them and they were fully secured when I dropped the car off. When customers receive their vehicles back with new problems that did not exist before service, it naturally raises concerns about the quality of the work performed and whether all repairs were completed as claimed. After contacting Sam and explaining these issues, I was told to bring the vehicle back. Unfortunately, the shop already had my car for a week, and now I am expected to spend additional time and go without transportation again to resolve problems that occurred while the vehicle was in their care.

Called Joey at 5pm and he immediately had a tow truck contact ready (Allen's 24/7 Towing, also outstanding, 20 minute response time in downtown San Antonio). Dropped the car off after hours and Joey called first thing the next morning with full diagnostics already done. He found the high water from that morning's commute had pushed into the ignition coil wells, where an existing valve cover gasket leak had already let oil pool. That combination took out a coil and fouled the plugs. No upselling, no scare tactics, just a clear explanation of what failed and why, with a straightforward repair plan: valve cover gasket, all 5 spark plugs, and the one failed coil. Communication was constant throughout, and he had it ready Wednesday just before close. Even gave me the military discount, sent me home with a thank-you note and a gift bag, and walked me through exactly what to watch for to keep this Jetta running well long-term. At 70k miles on a 2010, he made it clear this car has plenty of life left in it if maintained right and that's exactly the kind of honest, customer-first advice that earns repeat business. This is what a real repair shop should look like: transparent diagnosis, fair pricing, zero pressure, and genuine care for the customer beyond just the transaction. I called GCS in a panic and they were incredibly kind and accommodating--they told me they'd stay open until 5pm and to just drop the car in the back if I could get it there after hours. They promised they'd take care of it first thing in the morning, and they delivered 100%. They diagnosed and fixed the overheating issue the very next day, did a full oil change, and even repaired a bad oil leak that the BMW dealership had caused (and never fixed properly). Everything was done quickly, the pricing was extremely fair (way less than the dealership), and the communication throughout was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about German Car Specialists on Tradesman Dr--they saved my holiday and earned a customer for life. I'll never take my BMW back to the dealership again. I've taken my car here for a couple of issues, one was major and pretty straight forward, the second was even more time consuming because it was much less straightforward. The crew here worked with me to source the parts I needed at a price I could afford and stuck with the problems until they were resolved. Service like this does not come cheap however the value of getting it done right the first time with a shop that will back their work after you've paid for it makes it at least reasonable. These guys are direct and perhaps more unfiltered than you may find at other shops. They are also funny and passionate about getting your car back on the road working right. I highly recommend them to you.

I am not someone who typically writes negative reviews. I usually read reviews rather than write…read morethem. However, after my experience with Import Euroworks LLC in 2026, I feel compelled to share my experience so other BMW owners can make an informed decision. On June 4, 2026, my vehicle developed a serious issue. While parking, the cooling fan came on at full speed and I received a yellow temperature warning. I immediately stopped driving and contacted Paco. I was initially quoted approximately $1,300 for a water pump and several hoses. I also experienced what appeared to be an electrical issue. I heard what sounded like an electrical surge near the glovebox and hazard-warning area. Subsequently, my rear lights remained illuminated and my battery died. Paco identified several possible causes, including a ground strap, failed module, or relay. He advised me not to purchase additional parts and recommended towing the vehicle to his shop so he could install/register the battery and perform a computer diagnostic (Computer). I was later informed that the vehicle would not start and that work had already been performed under the hood. I was subsequently told that the engine had zero compression across all six cylinders. My valve cover was removed and additional work was performed before I fully understood the extent of the diagnostic process or engine disassembly. My vehicle remained at the shop for approximately a month. During that time, communication became increasingly difficult. Calls and texts frequently went unanswered, and I repeatedly had to contact the shop or physically visit the business for updates. I also found myself repeatedly explaining the history of my vehicle. Because I was not receiving clear answers, I conducted my own research regarding possible causes and appropriate diagnostic procedures. I repeatedly asked what testing had been performed and what conclusions could reasonably be supported by those tests. I did not receive the level of documentation or explanation I expected. I was eventually told that the engine had overheated so severely that it was effectively destroyed and that an engine replacement was necessary. I was quoted approximately $5,000 and asked for $2,000 down. On August 28, I went to the shop to inspect my vehicle. I was shocked to find the engine compartment substantially disassembled. The valve cover, spark plugs, ignition coils, intake manifold, cooling fan, intake air box, wiring harness, and other components had been removed. Some parts were in the passenger floorboard while others were in the trunk. The vehicle had also been sitting outside with the engine substantially exposed. I was subsequently told that a leak-down test indicated air was leaking between cylinders 1 and 2 and that no further testing was necessary. The recommended solution was essentially an engine replacement. Ultimately, the replacement engine did not happen. I was told it was no longer available and that the business had determined repairing my vehicle was not worth their time. I ultimately arranged for the vehicle to be towed elsewhere. Afterward, I discovered additional concerns, including a missing rubber grommet, missing intake-snorkel screws, missing screws for the cabin air-filter housing, damage to that housing, and a wiring harness that appeared to have been reinstalled incorrectly. I provided Paco with photographs documenting these concerns. I was told the missing items could be put back if I returned the vehicle, but I was not comfortable bringing it back. To be clear, I am not a mechanic, and I am not claiming to know exactly what caused the mechanical failure or whether any particular person caused the damage. I can only speak to what I personally experienced, what I was told, and what I personally observed. I have photographs and documentation supporting my concerns. Paco, I genuinely hope you take this experience as an opportunity to reflect on how customers and their vehicles are treated. The level of trust I once had in your work is no longer there. Be better. Do better. Customers deserve nothing less.

I've been doing my own car work for 52 years, including 42 years on Porsches, but when I bought our 2016 Macan S 4 years ago from Carmax, I got their extended warranty (MaxCare) because it's so computerized and complicated. On Porsche Club member's recommendations, I took it to Premier1 and now have taken it there several times for issues covered under the extended warranty. Considering that I do most of my own car work, the guys take the time to explain everything to me and answer a 100 questions. Premier1 takes great care of me and the Macan! Premier1 took care of the coordination with Carmax's extended warranty provider and made the whole process easy, and since Premier1 is in network with Repair Pal, we only had to pay our $250 deductible per visit.

Master European ordered the parts and is now making the repair which did not involve any of the previously recommended expensive work by the other shop.
