Dee The mechanic, went above and beyond during my visit to Firestone on Sunday 10/10/21. Dee not only used layman's terms to explain the mechanical issues, but he allowed for a hands on tutorial and allowed me to the opportunity to observe the defects while he explained the dangers of the issue. This is the second occurrence where Dee has worked on my vehicle and both times he was pleasant, informative and extremely knowledgeable about preventative measures, safely protocols and recommended services. I went in to check an oil leak on my vehicle, possibly from one of the engine gaskets. I received conflicting information from two staff members. The job wasn't done right, and I had to take it back in to tighten a hose that was left loose. The parts are overpriced; they charge you double what they pay. It was a very disappointing experience that cost me $500 more than what I should have paid. read more

I tried to get an auto inspection done, and while they were open, they said they didn't have anyone to do it. I was told to come back tomorrow. He said they did them from 8 AM to 5 PM, but I was there before five and they still would not do it. I will never return again. read more

Pick anywhere else to get your service work done. This location has been jerking me around for three days trying to get a 20 minute job completed. First no part, then wrong part, then the right guy wasn't in when I got up early to meet them based on the shops recommendation. There is no WiFi. No space for a stranded patron to work. Barely any coffee bar and no free bottles of water available. They don't even have a vending machine so I can buy a soda and a bag of chips. I feel lied to nearly every time I talk to someone at this place.... And the worst thing: try to call them. Go on. I will wait.... Did it ring 50 times with no answer? If they answered did they immediately ask you to hold for 10+ minutes with no check -in like they have done to me now three times in as many days? I am here to tell you that I have sat in this shop and watched them ignore the phone, while there was no customer at the counter, just let it ring. My experience has not just been during this incident. I have used this place before and chose to come back. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? At this point I believe that disregard for customers, their time, and lack of care for their experience has been systemic at this location across multiple issues months apart, at least 5 visits, a number of phone calls and at least two different service personal. Nobody here seems interested in impressing neither customers nor each other. It is my opinion that this location is doing more to damage Firestone as a brand in this area then can be offset by any money they take in an average day. Answer the phone. Give honest estimates on time. Provide a ride or at least wifi for your stranded customers. Honor the exact times on appointments or dont make them. Never be seen in the garage laughing and fist bumping when a customer is in your lobby writing a review like this one and my car is on the lift with nobody under it. They are currently trying the third part on my car because the specified part seems to not be working for some reason. At this point I have completely lost faith that my car is in competent hands and am reasonably worried regarding the condition of the vehicle that I get back. My experience on more then one occasion and more many days puts this location three rings away from being sponsored by barnum and bailey. I have literally gotten better communication from tire shops where nobody in the entire building could speak the same languages me. Good luck with service here folks. You would be better off letting your tires explode then waiting on the Texas HEROs to help you. Save the trouble and just buy a bike if this location is your only choice. read more

Be cautious when going in to get your alignment checked and/or getting an alignment. Also, watch out for vague deals offered to you. I went in to get alignment checked prior to alignment. Was led to believe the alignment check would be deducted if an alignment was needed and I paid for it. Otherwise I would pay for the alignment check. Check was done and I needed an alignment. I was given an offer to save 40 additional dollars on the lifetime alignment if I applied for a Firestone card. In addition to the 20 dollar coupon anyone can use. Invoice was emailed and I reviewed when I got home. The alignment check fee was still on there so I called to request that be refunded. After 25 minutes on the phone with the representative, I was lectured about how good of a deal I got. The issue here is being mislead. The employee refused to refund the alignment check fee and acted like I should be thankful for the deal I received. I should be thankful for the deal I received. Also had grease on my arm rest, plastic and cloth. Called 2 other Firestone shops and neither one charged fee to check alignment if you go forward with an actual alignment. Every time, I have made an appt, and it's proven to be pointless. I have waited well past my appt time (today, over two hours before my car was ever moved), and that's only because I had to be rude and a total b*itch. Whatever happened to appreciating your paying, returning customers? This is a huge corporation that obviously only cares about money, not keeping their customers happy. In spite of several bad reviews on Yelp, I decided to take my vehicle here because of 1) locality and 2) loyalty. I would give this location "0" star if I could. I called this location (Cibolo Valley) yesterday (8 February) to make an appointment for an oil change. I was given an appointment time of 1200 to bring my vehicle in. I informed the appointment setter that I needed an oil change, tire rotation and balance as well as an alignment for my truck. Upon arriving, I checked in and told the mechanic who checked me in repeatedly what services I needed done on my truck. I have lifetime wheel alignment and verified that it showed up in my history as well. I called Firestone back around 1830/6:30 to see if my vehicle was ready. The individual who answered sounded flustered but told me yes it was. I told them that I was on my way. Upon my arrival, I saw that my truck was still in a bay but thought nothing of it. Once inside, the gentleman who checked me in said "I told them to call you". I responded that no one had so I called to check myself and they stated that my vehicle was ready. A gentleman by the name of Bobby came out and asked did I need help. I stated that I was there to pick up my truck and he said that he would help me. Bobby, who is the service manager BTW, said that he had called me and it went to voicemail. He never stated what he had called for and I assumed that it was to inform me that my truck was ready for pickup. The next words out of his mouth were to tell me what they noticed during an inspection of my vehicle as well as that they had failed to complete a tire balance. I explained that I had stressed all the services I needed done and was disappointed. He said I could bring it back the next day (9 February) at 0700 to get my tires balanced. Bobby stated that he would keep the paperwork of services until the next day when I retired and went back into the garage. I then left. An hour later, as I was getting into my vehicle after running an errand, I noticed a few things. 1) my oil change sticker had not been changed out and 2)my oil change light was still on. I immediately called Firestone to see if any services had been done because at this point, I suspected that none had been done. I spoke with Austin, a mechanic at Firestone. He first stated that he had no way of knowing if any services had been completed on my vehicle. My husband got on the phone and asked him and he stated that he could look up my service history. Austin then said that he saw the services I requested but that he could not in any way tell if they had been completed. My husband then asked told him what had transpired earlier and he said that the services probably were not completed. He also said that because Bobby kept the paperwork, that could also be an indication that my services had not been done but he was not sure. He said that he would inform Bobby, who he stated had left for the day, that he needed to give me a call. I said that I was done and would not be returning with my vehicle for services because I could not trust them. I now see why the reviews for this location were bad. I also see that they cannot be trusted with doing services, especially when they lie about having done services that were never completed. 4 days have passed since this incident and they have yet to reach out to me. They have shown that they have poor service all around and I definitely would not recommend that anyone take their vehicle(s) there because you might get lied to and not have any services or work done. read more

There seemed to be a delay in my tires arriving the day before my appoint. So the day of took longer than I was planning. Overall great service. Wonderful mechanic (Q)! He went above and beyond. Took me out to my truck explained a few things to me and was super honest. He was knowledgeable, kind and took pride in his work. Went there to get a vehicle inspection. They informed me that it would be at least an hour. I said I'll wait. After waiting well over an hour, there were four technicians sitting around the desk in the shop area on their phones and computers with two service bays available and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I demanded my keys and left. Very poor customer service. No reason for that. I will never go back to Firestone. read more

Jason the store manager is probably one of the most unprofessional people I've had to deal with in a long time. A/C Diagnostic/repair cost me just a bit over $200; same day my A/C wasn't blowing cold. Took it back for them to look over; they said everything was working as it should. Tested the A/C on my way home. 55-60 on max cold; and 80 sitting still. Not sure who's AC performs that poorly. Called them back; Talked to Jason. He told me to take to a dealership to diagnose b/c they would have specialty tools to figure out the issue. Did that; which cost me just over $189. Ford Dealership told me the 2 parts that need replacing. Called Firestone; they were supposed to order the parts to get everything sorted out for a new grand total of $1081 (which was granted over a thousand cheaper than the dealership cost). And the next day I get a call from Jason, he does not want to perform the work on my vehicle b/c I have called and complained about our first encounter. So now I'm out almost $400 and my A/C is not fixed; as well as won't be fixed by Firestone of Cibilo. read more

Customer service is amazing, even when I talked to a few different people they were all very understanding and attentive to what my car needed! Prices are a liiitttlle high but I guess you'll find that anywhere anyway. I had an appointment and I was here 10 minutes early, it only took them about an hour to finish an oil change, tire balance and rotation, air filter change, and windshield wiper replacement. Have tried twice now to set up a simple wheel alignment at this location. First time, set a 10am appointment online, there at 9:55 to check in, guy tells me it will be 1- 1 1/2 hours because they are rolling a guy on the alignment rack right now. When I asked why they are rolling on another vehicle during my appointment slot, he tells me the website doesn't do a good job of informing people that an appointment doesn't guarantee your place in line. What?! That is literally the definition of an appointment! 2 hours later they tell me that car had died on the alignment rack and they can't get it started; they had no idea how long it would be. A shop full of mechanics?? The second time is weeks down the road, set an 8am this time for same service; figured earlier would be less busy. There at 7:55 to check in, the guy says it will be 2-3 hour wait, because he is waiting on a tech, and they have work from yesterday in front of me. Again, what?! This location does not understand the purpose of an appointment, and why are they scheduling work at all without staff on handle to service it? Just don't waste your time here. And I can second the notion that they never answer the phone, and when they do, put you on a hold. read more
