I wish I could give Dr. Eduardo Gerlein and his team more than five stars. Five stars are not enough to describe my experience with this office. I want to share my experience because I truly appreciate everything they have done for me. Before coming to Dr. Gerlein, I had braces with a different orthodontist for 5 years and 4 months. After wearing braces for all those years, I was unhappy with my bite and the appearance of my teeth. I had already spent so much time and money on orthodontic treatment, and I was hurt, disappointed, and sad about my experience. After everything I went through, I had lost confidence in orthodontic treatment. I made my first appointment with Dr. Gerlein for July 29. From the moment I walked into the office, I noticed something completely different. Starting from the front desk, everyone greeted me with a smile. Every person I met was kind, welcoming, and professional. I have been to different offices before, but I had never experienced this type of treatment. I still wonder where Dr. Gerlein found so many kind and professional people to work in one place. Their smiles and greetings feel genuine and come from the heart. When I met Dr. Gerlein, I explained my experience with my previous orthodontist and everything I had gone through during those 5 years and 4 months. He listened carefully and examined my teeth and bite. I felt like he understood how disappointed and sad I was about my previous treatment and genuinely wanted to help me. He explained what was wrong with my bite, what needed to be corrected, the treatment plan, and the goal for my teeth. I was also worried about the cost because I had already paid so much money for my previous orthodontic treatment. Starting another treatment meant another expense for me. Dr. Gerlein considered everything I had already gone through and gave me a price much lower than I expected. I was shocked and grateful for his kindness and consideration. What touched me even more was that Dr. Gerlein personally removed the old braces I had worn for 5 years and 4 months. He also personally cleaned my teeth after removing the braces, with no additional charge. After everything I had experienced, this meant so much to me. Dr. Gerlein and his team worked hard to start my new treatment on the same day. His staff arranged for my clear aligners while I was still there. They asked me to return about two hours later, and when I came back, my aligners were ready. I started my new treatment that same day. I cannot fully explain how happy I felt when those old braces finally came off after 5 years and 4 months. Receiving my clear aligners on the same day made me feel happier than my birthday. After wearing braces for such a long time, seeing my teeth without them and knowing I was starting a new treatment plan was an emotional moment for me. I will never forget that day. I came to this office feeling hurt and sad because of my previous orthodontic experience. The kindness, care, and professionalism Dr. Gerlein and his staff showed me helped me forget about the negative experience I had before. They gave me confidence in orthodontic treatment again. The way they treated me from my first visit made a big difference in how I felt. My second visit was yesterday, and once again, I received the same kindness, care, and professionalism. As soon as I entered the office, everyone welcomed me warmly. Dr. Gerlein and his team explained the procedure before working on my teeth. Dr. Gerlein explained the treatment he was doing that day, why he was doing it, and the next steps in my treatment plan. I had never experienced this level of communication and explanation from my previous orthodontist. Dr. Gerlein's education and experience, including his training at Harvard, gave me confidence, but the way he treats his patients means even more to me. He takes his time to explain my treatment and makes sure I understand the plan. His team works professionally, and I see how carefully everyone takes care of my teeth. I am confident Dr. Gerlein will give me the results he planned for my teeth because I have already seen the professionalism, knowledge, and care he and his team put into my treatment. I already see a difference in my teeth, and I feel confident continuing my treatment with him. I highly recommend Dr. Eduardo Gerlein and his orthodontic team. Based on my own experience, please do not waste years of your time and money going from place to place when you are looking for quality orthodontic care. I cannot recommend Gerlein Orthodontics highly enough. The office is beautiful, colorful, and clean, the staff is wonderfully cheery and kind, and Dr. Gerlein himself is a dedicated orthodontist. The biggest surprise for me is how fun Gerlein Orthodontics makes the experience for kids. They implement a points system whereby kids can earn points for being on time for appointments, wearing their Gerlein t-shirt, joining the book club, etc. And these points lead to prizes like gift cards. They also have video games in the waiting area. My 9-year-old came home from his first appointment raving about it and actually asked if he could have his birthday party there, lol! Dr. Gerlein is the best. He was recommended by Dr. Everett Schneider aka the best dentist on Earth, which reminded me that rock stars tend to know each other. Dr. Gerlein explains everything, is gentle and thorough, and does an elegant job of reading a 15 year old the riot act about wearing her retainer, without ever losing his own pearly smile. I had a deeply disappointing experience recently with Dr. Eduardo Gerlein. The Invisalign treatment he prescribed, to straighten overlapping lower incisors, took twice as long as he had estimated and resulted in straighter incisors but a bite that went from near-perfect to misaligned. His treatment left me with back molars that do not meet when I bite down, a lower canine that hits the upper canine on the right side when I chew, and granulomas inside both cheeks caused by misalignment. My regular dentist spent four sessions carefully grinding down my premolars and molars to prevent further inner cheek damage and prescribed an over-the-counter medication to heal the granulomas. While that treatment was successful, my overall bite is still noticeably misaligned, as confirmed by two other orthodontists. I am planning a "redo" with a new orthodontist. read more

Dr. Gerlein is really wonderful and his office is super friendly and efficient. He's always smiling and up beat and a pleasure to interact with. I think for patients (mostly kids) and the parents. Dr. Gerlein and his staff are completely awesome! I have lingual braces, and he and his staff have been the most professional, accommodating and friendly people you can imagine. The whole process thus far (5 months in) has been relatively painless and smooth. I highly recommend going to see him if you need any orthodonture whatsoever! He did not try to sell me the most expensive option, and pushed me toward what he thought was the BEST option (though not necessarily as fast as the most expensive one). As an adult patient, it is awkward enough to have braces, but the relaxing caring environment of their office really helps make some of that awkwardness go away. I had braces to prep for a jaw advancement surgery and Dr. Gerlein was always in lockstep with the surgeon as well. I really appreciate their sincere caring attitude, not only since my surgery, but with each and every visit to their office. They have the ability to actually make people want to smile when they walk into the office - an achievement I think VERY few dental/orthodontic offices can claim. My dentist referred me to Dr. G after having several years of dental work and even more years of pain in my jaws and at 40, I was facing 18 months of braces and surgery. I can't tell you how fantastic this office is! If I could give it 10 stars, it wouldn't be enough! The very moment you walk in the door, you're greeted by nothing less than a wonderful smile by either Jessica or Molly and always with a warm hello. And the girls in the back are no different - courteous, friendly, professional and most of all, fun!! And Dr. Gerlein - where should I even start. He's amazing, wonderful, dedicated and above all, cares so very much about his patients. I'm in retainers now and as much as I hated having braces at 40, wish I still had them so I got to visit their office more often! I recently broke my retainer and had to go in for a replacement. I got the replacement and just a couple of short weeks later, I broke it again. They're now convinced that I'm only breaking them so I can go back and see them. Of course it's not true LOL...but I'd like nothing more than to think that's it :) You absolutely CANNOT go wrong here. Dr. Gerlein is always in a pleasant, friendly, and high energy mood. His staff are extremely friendly, and the office is very organized. And, most importantly, he is an artist at what he does--he will carefully monitor the progress of your teeth and make adjustments as needed until things are near perfection. He could have wrapped up my invisalign treatment after the first set was complete and I would have been happy. But, there were a few minor adjustments he wanted to make and so we continued the treatments (at no extra cost to me). Note that he has periodontal training which is helpful if you are seeking orthodontic treatment to assist in treating periodontal issues. Also, I am an adult, and his office is set up to cater to adults as well as children (even with a separate waiting area and work area so that you don't feel out of place with the children who are there). read more

I worked with Dr. Gerlein for over two years in preparation for and following oral-maxillofacial surgery. Getting braces as an adult was a bit scary, but the entire staff went above and beyond to accommodate my work schedule and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Gerlein is so warm and kind and his care is top notch. His staff is superb, always smiling (I give them bonus points because I usually saw then before 8 am) and willing to explain what they are doing (which is something that you do not always see). Dr. Gerlein is a perfectionist and provided a final result that exceeded my wildest expectations. He is honest, affable, and takes the time to get to know his patients. By the end of my treatment, I actually looked forward to going to my appointments, which surprised me. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or family!
