I don't even want to give this place a star but there is no option for no stars. I have had the worst experience with the store owner, Rich Gerhard. Not only was he beyond rude to me on the phone when I was trying to have a conversation with him, but he hung up on me! What owner treats a customer that way. I went in yesterday afternoon. I needed a 30" range hood wall mounted stainless steel with a curved glass hood. Yes I am a bit picky. The supply in the store was limited. The sales person looked up range hoods, printed out specs and availability as well as pricing. I did my research and their prices beat all the others' I could find. The customer service was great. After purchasing a new refrigerator from Gerhard's we were awaiting delivery on a day with snow in the morning. The delivery was scheduled for between 11-3. We emptied the refrigerator and freezer and shoveled the driveway to ensure a safe path for the delivery. At 1:45 PM we received a call that they would not be able to deliver due to poor road conditions. There was just an inch of snow and the streets were plowed. Due to the holiday they would not be able to deliver until the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I called the store and spoke to our sales person and was told that safety comes first which I said that I agreed with 100%. My issue was with the lack of customer courtesy and service. I asked why they didn't just call earlier in the day when it was clear that delivery was going to be an issue? The answer was a bit odd something like "well they didn't know". They are unable to give us a window for delivery and now I will need to take a day off to accept delivery or wait even longer for a weekend delivery. The sales person was not rude more like arrogant. Very disappointed with the customer service and especially the delivery company they use. The way the Gerhard's lauds the service and delivery company I expected better. They were unable to tell us when they would deliver. The sales person told me that I will receive a call from the scheduler the day before with a time however since that will be a holiday I am not going to hold my breath. This is my favorite place to shop for appliances. In the last 5-6 years, I have purchased 2 dishwashers, a microwave, double ovens, and a washer and dryer. Nicole is such a wonderful and helpful salesperson and I request her personally each time I go in! My most recent transaction was for the washer and dryer. Nicole was very knowledgeable about the products and was able to assist me in deciding which appliances would best meet my needs. I also like the fact that I was able to purchase a service contract and extended warranty. If something goes wrong with my appliances, I am just able to call Gerhard's service department and easily schedule a repair person to come out. Gerhard's stands by their products. If something goes wrong, they do what they need to do to fix it. I will continue shopping at Gerhard's for all of my appliances. read more

The sales staff at the store is great. However, they have a delivery company that absolutely STINKS. Called but didn't leave a voicemail saying the delivery would arrive in 30 minutes. Decided to skip my delivery. No one could explain why the delivery driver did not leave a voicemail. After complaining I was told that they hope that I can get my delivery tomorrow but they are still not sure. They can't reach the delivery driver. Delivery dispatcher hung up when I explained that I should have priority for a next day delivery. read more

Agree with others re customer service. We sought specific advice from Linda Gerhard, who was the sales person when at the store to purchase a washer, dryer and dishwasher for the house we just purchased. She specifically recommended a certain Matag washer for our needs. We told her it was a second floor laundry room. From the first load, it was incredibly noisy and left white spots on dark clothes. We called for service and a Gerard's service person spent no more than 10 minutes and said " this is what you get at this price point". Outraged, after we came back from a vacation I called Maytag for service. Their service person spentv45 minutes trying to adjust but, bottom line, these machines are known for noise and vibration. I called Gerard's went into the store in Malvern where we purchased and was told to call Linda because "she's a gerhard" and could help. She was on vacation but receptionist said service manager would call. He never did. A letter to Linda seeking a resolution of them taking it back with credit towards a more expensive and quieter machine. NOT A WORD from her. Way terrible customer experience!! Gerhard's came to measure a new stove in an existing granite countertop. When the appliance came, it didn't fit, the existing cutout was too large and the appliance would fall through. The installer from Gerhard's told me that solution was simple: buy a new granite counter top (6000$) to remedy the fact that the Gerhard's measuring rep couldn't properly measure the existing cutout. Then I was told , by Gerhard's, if I had a problem with the existing situation, I should complain to Jennair- no, it was not their error! Ultimately, Gerhard's sent 'their professional' out to fix the problem- which he did - for 300$. This is an expense which the customer should not 'eat' - though as of now, I did ' eat'. BTW- a friend has told me an equally nauseating story involving his home, a refrigerator and Gerhard's. read more

Don't buy your appliances here. We had problems with each and every aspect of the process. The installation setup was delayed and bad, the appliance was severely dented and installed anyway without anyone mentioning it. Once we noticed it, they had to order parts to fix it, it's been months and we are still waiting for them to come and replace the parts. Each time you talk to them they say they will take care of something but they never do. They owe a refund that they have promised for months and we still haven't seen that. I've called to speak to the owner several times but they never call back either. I mean, their prices are no better than a box store, so why bother with them. You will regret it. If I could give Gerhard's less than a star or a negative star I would. We have bought a fair amount of appliances from them over the years (oven, dishwasher, 2 sets of high end washer and driers). For the second set of washer and driers we bought the dryer door was damaged. Gerhard's took forever to secure a replacement but the main issue was the service technician they sent to fix it along with their complete lack of response to the more serious safety issue of ensuring the dryer was probably installed and our vent was setup properly. The service tech came out to install the door and he was incredIbly rude and condescending and didn't want to help us at all in terms of questions about our dryer they installed and the venting. He was very clear he did not want to help and after his rude manner, we were relieved when he left. I called Gearhart's to complain and never heard back, so I called again and then was able to connect my way up to the family management hiding behind all of their retaIl locations. Never heard back nor received an apology. We are redoing our kitchen soon and also renovating an apartment we own with a full kitchen and laundry and while Gerharts is 10 mins from our house, we will go out of our way to never ever do business with them again based on our experience. It's a shame as they are an old, formerly solid company in the area but like many multi generation family run business, the current generation who came up in it and is running it apparently doesn't know that all of their past success that they have come into is based on excellent customer service. Between an extremely rude technician and no response up thru to family management, that was not our experience so we will take maybe $20k worth of new business elsewhere. Imagine buying and paying for a brand new dryer including paying the additional fee for delivery and installation and actually wanting the dryer to work!... I must be very demanding... If you are as demanding as I am, you will be happier buying somewhere else.... You will not be happy if you need any support from Gerhards. You will have to spend your time making many phone calls and be exceptionally tenacious if you want your situation resolved in a fair manner..... It is not a good thing that Gerhards uses anybody they can find to deliver and install... I would never go this route again... It seems the installer never bothered to turn on the dryer to be sure it worked.. I made the mistake of assuming installer would actually check that... silly me... I thought that was a pretty basic installation step.. Day after install and I go to use it for the very first time and... nothing...It won't turn on.....I called Gerhards to report that my brand new dryer was not turning on...Gerhards sent a GE repairman out two days later. Upon diagnosis of the issue (electronic panel problem,most likely could never have "turned on" for installer) Gerhards instructed me to go thru GE and basically deal with GE like I had had the dryer for years instead of 24 hours, a real kiss off..... Gerhards wanted no further responsibility with this situation....... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?... I purchased thru a "small" store for support and attention....Sadly I did not get any such service and support at Gerhards and you won't find it either unless you are willing to fight for it, which is what I had to do.... After several days and lots of calls I did get Gerhards to finally agree to bring me another brand new replacement dryer therefore saving me the more prolonged process of having to go thru GE. .... BUT Gerhards THEN tells me they are going to charge me for delivery and installation AGAIN.. I literally could not believe I was hearing those words correctly...... so more arguing for what I believe was fair... Finally, Gerhards agreed to waive the SECOND (re)delivery fee.... Trust me, you do not want to spend your time like this.... But the fun doesn't stop there...Gerhards Service called me the day before (re)delivery to to collect the outstanding fee for delivery and to get cc #.... When I explained the situation to the woman on phone, she could not have been more rude and unpleasant (even though it was their mistake with the lack of internal communication with my paperwork ) ..... You just can't win here.. There are so many other places to buy from, don't choose to be treated like this when you are spending your money... Worst customer service I have encountered in a long time.. except for the people in sales.. but is that really a good thing????? Once they have your money, good luck.... Soooo upset and angry with this retailer....I purchased an Electrolux Front Load Washer and Dryer on May 16, 2017. I did not shop around for this purchase..I wanted to go to a local retailer in my area to support small business...I trusted them and now I am paying the price. 1st issue ...they showed up with the delivery missing parts and said they were not able to install and would need to come back...I did not want to wait...so my daughter ran to the store to pick up the part herself as the service people sat there and waited....service blames store ..store blames service....1st aggravation...but machine gets installed. 2nd issue...within first couple weeks the gasket begins yellowing...and then starts spreading...I go to the store to talk with my sales representative,( I will not disclose her name) and the manager and they are baffled as to what the issue could be....they say maybe the detergent but that I need to contact service to come out and see but they also tell me that they contacted Electrolux and they said it could be a defaulted gasket ....a new gasket is ordered and replaced ...I also ask if this continues to be an issue can I return it and get a different washer...they assure me that they will take care of the issue but need to know what the problem is and that service is the only one that can do that first...this is the protocol before they can take action.....at this point I'm a bit annoyed as it is a new machine and felt that the machine should have been replaced...not a part...but I let it go....again, I trust that they are going to do the right thing...(I was sooo wrong) The gasket get's replaced and immediately after the first wash, I see the yellowing on the gasket re-appear...I was so upset but was leaving for vacation and had no time to deal with it again...so I waited until I returned...I called the store once again and had a long conversation with one of the sales people, who kindly listened to me and said, that in order to do anything I needed to contact service again as they had to document that nothing could be done to remedy the issue and then I could take the steps either to get a new machine or get something different....I trusted him and called service and made an appointment for Saturday and then they canceled at the last minute because the tech called out sick...they re-scheduled and came out yesterday...they gave me a five hour spread as to when they would be here so I was not able to be here as I had a previous appt ..so my mom stayed for me....I came home to see a case# noted ....with no explanation....I called the store...and spoke with a woman( I will not disclose her name)...who again through it back to service...looked up the case # and simply came to the conclusion that I am the problem....I'm using too much detergent which I am not....and that I need to do a "clean wash" maybe multiple times to get rid of it....basicly letting me know that they are going to do NOTHING about this....they are done with me and my situation....they sold it to me and I'm stuck....I was extremely upset and hung up on her....and called Electrolux who verbatim said the same thing as the store....that it's my problem and nothing is going to be done....and basicly read off the notes from Gerhard's.....I am so disgusted and so angry...and have contacted my credit card company now to dispute this charge....I don't plan to let them get away with this....I truly hope this never happens to anyone else...this is so disappointing....the sad part is that there are so many bad reviews and they don't seem to care or do anything about it....if I don't get resolution, I will make a "Consumer Complaint" through the proper channels. read more

Gerhards provided one of the worst customer experiences of my life! I purchased an expensive apartment size washer dryer from them. The units were improperly installed and upon usage flooded my apartment. I had nine (9) repair appointments scheduled, during one of which the repairmen forgot his tools! I took off nine separate times for a what turned out to be a simple repair. The Gerhard's representatives were consistently rude, untruthful, arrogant and totally useless. How this company stays in business given my experience and the others I have seen on yelp is a mystery. read more

I am leaving a one star because there is not an option to leave a negative star review. If you need to have any appliance delivered then I suggest shopping somewhere else. I did not leave a review a few years ago when I had my washer and dryer delivered and they handed me used rusty dryer vent hose clamps. Oh and I paid for new ones to be delivered with the washer and dryer. We decided to give them another chance when my mom needed a new refrigerator. Well where do I start.... the first day we were scheduled for delivery they refused to deliver because they were worried about bringing it up the one step because they felt it was unsafe. Ok so we rescheduled even though my husband jumped up and down on the step with no problem. My husband tightened the step and we waited for the delivery that was scheduled between 10am and 2 pm. At 2:15 we called to see where they were and were told they had stopped by at 8am and then left. We asked why no one bothered to call or hey here is an idea knock on the front door and let us know you are here early. They have no explanation and now say they driver is not close enough to come back with the already paid for refrigerator. Well the order is now cancelled and now we can wait to see how long before they refund us. We will be doing business in the future with anyone other then Gerhard's Appliances. read more

Do not buy anything from here unless you want really bad service. We've had 2 bad experiences, the most recent one on a LG refrigerator. After we did research we found many other people having the problem--Gerhard's wasn't really interested in assisting us either and was pretty much zero help - told us we needed to contact the manufacturer. While the sales staff can be helpful, that's where the service ends at Gerhard's. We ordered a range from them with a delivery date the following Friday, and a window of 4-7 pm. Nothing was delivered at all, and nobody called to tell us there was a problem. The following day we talked to one sales person after another--the only people you can talk to because although deliveries go out on the weekend, there are no office personnel governing those deliveries. Finally found someone sympathetic enough to try to find something out for us. She tried to get the range scheduled for delivery on the following Monday. But the earliest the delivery jerks were willing to reschedule delivery was for the following Thursday--a week after it was to have been delivered in the first place, and so another week without any range at all. I called Best Buys--we could buy the same range for the same price and have it delivered on Tuesday. I will never buy another thing from Gerhard's. They take no responsibility for their screw-ups. read more

Terrible experience! I was scheduled for delivery on 1/19, but I never got a call with my time slot the day before. When I called to find out what was going on, the delivery department had no record of my order! Whoever placed my order in the store didn't do it properly apparently. They refused to work with me to fix this issue in a timely manner. I ended up canceling my order entirely and just going to Home Depot. I've never had such problems before, it was so frustrating! This company has the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with!!!! I bought 5 kitchen appliances in July to be delivered and installed July 8th. On the Saturday July 8 I got a phone call and text they would arrive in the morning by 12 pm. Our appliances were not delivered until 730pm and they delivery men had no idea what we were talking about when I asked where the installers were. We then called on Sunday to figure out what went wrong and the sales department said they have no idea why installers didn't show up as they were scheduled. Then they said the only time we could have our appliances installed would be during business hours or wait another week without appliances for the following Saturday. Reluctantly we waited another week with boxes all over our now completely unusable kitchen to have our appliances installed. Saturday rolls around and they install our appliances delaying the start of our vacation. Once we returned from our vacation we noticed the wall oven we had installed was installed completely wrong after multiple attempts to get someone out to our house to fix the issue and two installer appointments where the installers just did not show up finally a sales person came to make sure it was actually crooked and so after seeing it's completely crooked he sent a guy from the service department to fix it. I take time off work for this appointment only to have him show up and tell me it's installed wrong (which we had said in our multiple calls) and that he cannot fix it an installer has to. And he noted not only does it look awful it's completely UNSAFE. Since this we have had 3 install appointments that were no shows and one appointment where I got a call at 940 asking if someone could come that day which is impossible since I work. So it's been since July 8th we have been dealing with this issue and no resolution and today I had a family member sit at my house for 4 hours because I was told a contractor would be there today to fix it and AGAIN NOBODY SHOWED UP. There has been no attempt at all by the store to reimburse us in any way or even just get the issue resolved so we can be done with this . We spent a considerable amount of money on all our appliances and we also spent a lot of money to have these installed. The company delivered a refrigerator with warped doors. It took weeks and 2 visits to get new doors installed. In the process the technician disabled the ice maker, rectified in the second visit, but the doors still fit poorly. Then the compressor failed. Three more service calls to diagnose and replace the compressor and it still doesn't function normally; only cools on max setting. The service personnel rarely arrive in the window promised. The customer service staff don't accept responsibility, they play the I can't do anything it has to be referred up the line game. Paid for a new refrigerator 6 months ago. What Gerhard's provided was a defective machine, hours of waiting, a freezer full of spoiled food, living with coolers and ice runs to the grocery store and an ongoing odyssey of frustration. read more

My Mom purchased a TV from them and two separate individuals came to help her install it and NEITHER knew what they were doing. The second technician was EXTREMELY RUDE and actually threw one of the remotes towards my mother and told her it didn't work...it turns out that he just hadn't switched it to the "TV" setting...which in my estimation is kind of like whiffing at T-ball if you're a pro baseball player. Later they called my Mom and said "We'll be out to install your refrigerator on Tuesday." When my Mom said she hadn't ordered any refrigerator, they said "Well...it's already on the delivery truck, so...". I assume they wanted my Mom to say "Well, ok." I truly wished we had read these reviews BEFORE buying from Gerhard's but where else can you buy name brand/quality appliances these days -- Sears is also off the list for poor service -- needed to replace a broken refrigerator fast and the appliance was delivered on time but the ice maker was on back order for several weeks -- after multiple phone calls and getting the run around as to who we needed to talk to and NOT getting phone calls back, we finally seemed to get answers and a delivery and installation scheduled today -- suffice it to say, I am still waiting for the repairman and will believe this will work when I see it -- don't know how an organization can continue to run their service this way And from reading the other reviews, your apologies are worthless -- get your service department and sales department and parts department together and maybe actually train their employees to provide proper customer service. read more

Worst experience and not over. We bought all of our appliances from Gerhards about 5 years ago and had a good experience. We though a good family owned business. However, the service department is a nightmare. Our Kitchenaid dishwasher door hinge broke. A service person repaired it, but then the dishwasher leaked. I called for service the day it leaked, a Thursday, and were told we had to wait until next Monday or Tuesday. I asked to speak with a supervisor and had to leave a message. When my call was not returned I called again and had to leave a message. I have still not received a return call, or any communication, and my dishwasher is still leaking. They ruined my dishwasher and soon will ruin my wood floor. read more

We have recently made our second and third (in quick succession) purchases from Gerhards, one of which was for a dishwasher two days before Christmas and an absolute emergency situation. Not only were they accommodating and beyond helpful, but their prices were significantly better than the big box stores and local small business competitors. "We don't sell appliances, we sell customer service" is about as true as Hilary Clinton not deleting emails. Gerhards, you sit on a throne of lies. We purchased new construction, and made it a point to go with Gerhards on appliances rather than Home Depot. We thought we would be getting the best service, as these "small shops" would stand behind their product....were we fooled. The day after we moved in we had Gerhards scheduled to deliver Refrigerator, Washer, and Dryer. Beyond tracking mud onto brand new carpet, they punched the water drain cap down the pipe for the return thinking it would just "flush out". It wedged itself into the trap behind the wall keeping any and all water to drain from washer. Ultimately, the water leaked all over the laundry room, so much so that it came pouring through the ceiling of the kitchen right below causing damage to the ceiling and walls, before making its way all the way to the basement. Simply put these delivery men had no idea what they were doing. Before this fiasco, the men refused to install the refrigerator to the 2nd floor as it would "not fit." Little did they know that this fridge is the exact same fridge that was in the model home that we purchased. The delivery men did not know understand that they needed to take the doors off for it to make its way up the stairs. We thought that this poor experience was isolated to 2 delivery men, but again boy were we wrong. After explaining my frustrations to Gerry Gerhard after this situation, he did not make my delivery of the refrigerator on Monday morning a priority. Resulting in food that was purchased left to spoil. Keep in mind all of these appliances were paid in full months ago. After not being made a priority on Monday (for the job that they did not complete on Saturday), I had to go another day waiting for my appliances to be properly installed. I took the day off on Monday hoping that they would accomodate me, but I was fooled again. I then had delivery scheduled for after 6PM on Tuesday as that is when I would be home from work. I received a call at 3PM stating that the delivery men were at my house. I had to leave work early, after taking a day off from work the day before which was pointless in order to rush home and open the door for more appliances to be installed. After all was said and done, management refuses to respond to voicemails and emails. We are waiting for them to make this right for us, but still have yet to man up. Moral of the story, Gerhards appliance does not know how to do business. This is poor management and not how the first generation Gerhards I'm sure envisioned their business. Scheduled appointment on line. GOT A CONFIRMATION EMAIL with date. Took off of work to be home that day. Thought it was strange that never got an email or text reminder the night before with window of time expected. Called the next morning only to be TOLD my appointment was moved to the following Monday. Never got a call to discuss this. Wasted an entire work vacation day. Poor customer service. We purchased a kitchen package from Gerhard's in early June after our oven of 19 years died. The sales process was fine but once we purchased the appliances things went down hill. Our salesperson John was no help after the sale, he's basically an order taker. To say that Gerhard's customer service is bad is an understatement, it's non-existent. Gerhard's did not communicate delays to us and if not for our installer Jeff (he's great) we would have not had any idea of a status. It was the worst customer experience we've had locally and I would not recommend Gerhard's to anyone considering an appliance purchase. My husband and I pulled into the Malvern Gerhard's after leaving another local appliance store. Angela Wise greeted us right away and showed us the appliances and brands we were looking for. She was very helpful and we were pleased with the pricing based on what we'd seen at other locations. We left with several items based on the good prices. In 2016 we purchased a washer from Gerhard's and had a great experience with the sales team and could not have been more pleased with our purchase. Fast foward to 2017, we are now having problems with our dryer, we went online to schedule a service appointment for a broken belt which we specified in the issue tab, the website specified no diagnostic charge (we assumed because we had specified a broken belt), a labor and repair charge of $91 and parts charge of "COST and SHIPPING and HANDLING"... so for a $22 broken belt we fully expected to pay $130 and would have thanked Gerhards for their service.... instead the repairman showed up 5 days later for 2 minutes told us it was a broken belt, asked for $74.19 and told us he would return in 3 more days to repair our dryer but that he would be collecting an additional $160.00 to fix it.... but if we wanted the motor fixed at the same time then he could do it all for $265 on top of the $74.19. I thanked him paid him the $74.19 and Immediately called customer service at Gerhards to clear things up, I was told by customer service there must have been a glitch in their system that allowed for no diagnostic fee and that it was normal for this to be their process. I wrote an email to management through their website and provided the timing of everything and told them I had a screen shot showing what I agreed to concerning pricing and I never heard ANYTHING back. I never heard from the repairman, I never heard from management, I never heard from the nice girl on the phone who was going to look into it. SO in closing I would recommend Gerhards for buying the appliance but if you ever have ANYTHING wrong it, stay FAR FAR AWAY from their service group. read more

I would give a 0 if that was possible to let people know how unhappy I am with this place. My refrigerator died and we needed a new one ASAP, Gerhard's was the only place that had the one I wanted and have it delivered in 3 days and for that I am thankful. Unfortunately, that's the only positive to this review. The customer service is bad, meaning they don't get back to you... at all, and the delivery team was even worse. The delivery team was to call on the way, they didn't, they also gouged and scratched my walls and the floor in the kitchen. They decided not use the new water line that came with the fridge and used the old one (still not sure why). Once they were gone and I was cleaning out the packing material and wiping the inside of the unit down, I noticed water at my feet. Both the connection at the faucet and the connection to the back of the unit were leaking. When I called Gerhard's, I got through to person who told me he would call the delivery guys to get them back out. Sure enough they called me and proceeded to tell me they were already in West Chester and couldn't come back (I'm in Coatesville) and that I just needed to tighten things up...Well okay, I get that, it's not rocket science but this was their job and so far in my mind, they suck at their job. I paid a delivery charge, I tipped them and I was polite even though they had aggravated me from the start. I spent my hard earned money on a company that didn't give a crap about me or my satisfaction with the job they did. I say this because afterwards I called again and after NUMEROUS times was able to talk to a Jess who PROMISED me that she would look into my complaint and have someone get back to me. Guess who I never heard from again? Jess or the mystery person who was going to call me back. All I wanted was my delivery charge refunded and the water line that came with the new fridge mailed to me, they couldn't even do that. RUN!! I was warned to stay away from Gerhards, but sadly didn't listen. I purchased a 55 inch Samsung tv on Nov 21. I was told that it would be delivered Monday, Nov 24. I received a call on Sunday that it would be delivered between 11:00 and 3:00 on Monday. By 5:00 pm I called shipping. After an hour, they called back and said that it never made it on the truck, but that it would be their between 11:00 and 3:00 on Tuesday. Around 2:00pm on Tuesday, I received a call from sales that it again did not make it on the truck, but would be there on Wednesday. I asked if they could guarantee me that it would be there, since I wasted 2 days of a holiday week already.. It WILL be there, I was told. I called at 4:30 on Wednesday when it had yet to arrive. They said they would call back, that the driver wasn't answering his phone. It is now December third, and still no tv. My husband called and the answer was " we had a run on them over the holiday" . I stopped in this morning, no apology just it was a really good sale. I asked to speak to the manager. One lady went to his office and came back with "there will be a shipment on Friday" I asked why the manager didn't come out to speak to me and was smugly told with a "gotcha"voice that he just had surgery. Unresponsive and terrible service. Once they have your money, they don't care anymore. I wanted to support a local business, and I thought I'd get better service than from a huge company, but their lack of follow-up on problems is frustrating and time-wasting. read more

Bought an expensive appliance from them and it turned into a disaster. The bottom line is Gerhard's management is the ABSOLUTE WORST, however, the front line customer service is good. You are totally screwed if you have an issue with an appliance that requires assistance beyond the front line customer service. The wait time to speak with a representative is often at least 20+ minutes! Seems no one in management cares. The only thing they seem to care about is taking your money. My appliance is still broken. It has now been 4 months for them to be "working on it!" DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CHAIN! My next move is to contact the Better Business Bureau. read more

We have purchased quite a few appliances from Gerhard's over the years and was always pleased until now. We are on a very tight schedule for a kitchen remodel with appliance delivery on a Thursday and Countertop Template scheduled the next day. Received a call on Thursday morning that the oven did not make it on the truck and would not be delivered that day but could it be brought another day. What ?!? Appliances needed to be in place at the time of measurement for the template. Trish worked with me and assured me that I would be first delivery the next day...between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. Only problem was the template folks contacted me and wanted to be there at 7 AM. When I called Trish back of course she said they could not have the oven to me by that time. Since they have caused me a delay in schedule I wanted to know how I would be compensated. I was given to Lisa Gerhard who wanted me to know that Trish was very upset. Its nice to have that concern about a employee but really...I'm your customer and I'm really upset. Then she informed me that several appliances didn't make it on the truck. I guess that was supposed to make me feel better. If anything it solidifies my never returning to Gerhard's Appliances. Funny - when I was telling my contractors the story the first question they asked was if it was Gerhard's. Bottom line I did receive my oven at 9:45 the next day but have had to rearrange the schedule and will not complete my project when needed since the template measurement is not until next week. It's a shame. I believe in supporting local businesses but those businesses need to be good. At one time I would recommend Gerhard's. That is not the case anymore. If anything I will tell people to stay away....and that's a shame for the community and the sales people. read more

New kitchen appliances delivered and installed on December 27. Called in advance, arrived during delivery window. The delivery team, led by Jarmal, could not have been more careful and courteous during the entire process of delivery, installation and removal of the old appliances. read more

If there was an option for 0 stars I would prefer that. This is my first and only Yelp review to date, and my experience with Gerhard's was so terrible I decided to sign up. I beg of you - do NOT buy your appliances from this store. Not only were they FOUR hours late for our delivery without calling, the store manager felt as though it was sufficient to tell us that "he was angry, too." Then, after finally arriving and installing our new appliances, they didn't even work and we had to schedule a time for them to come back. You would think they would be apologetic, but instead I was yelled at by a woman named Dawn when I called about how I needed to understand that SHE had to get into a different calendar to schedule this for me. The service manager promised to call me back, which I have now left several messages for him and have yet to hear. This is by far and above the absolute worst service I have ever received in my life and I feel it only necessary to share my experience and save others the aggravation of having to deal with such a poor operation. read more

Terrible service. We bought a Bosch Washer and Dryer set and the washer was a lemon. We spent a few years trying to work with their service department, and they couldn't fix it. But here is the problem, they wouldn't replace it either. Many no call backs. Just awful service. Go to Sears. read more

When my washing machine died I opted to purchase the replacement from a family owned business instead of a big chain like Home Depot or Lowes. I had a great experience from the salesman to the delivery men. The salesman was very knowledgeable and patient with me and my questions. He also price matched my purchase with the prevailing sale price from the larger chains. I did not close the deal while there but called back 4 days later with my quote number and was able to close the transaction without going back in. Jamal and the delivery team where prompt polite and efficient. I will not hesitate to purchase my next appliance from Gerhards. read more
