Was sent to Gerber by Travelers to repair the bumper on my GMC. Both the initial visit, communication during repair, and pick up were very good experiences. I had plenty of time to leave the vehicle as I was traveling and repairs were complete before my return so I was able to Lyft direct from RSW to pick up my GMC. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I dropped off my car here to fix the bumper, the trunk and the rear camera after an accident. When I picked up the car after almost 2 weeks they told me that they couldn't fix the trunk. The camera was now not only broken when backing up but it was completely blank, something that wasn't happening when I dropped it off. I let them know, and they said they were going to check with the mechanic and get back to me. Almost a month passed when I contacted them again, letting them know I was going to take further actions in the matter, they asked me when I could drop it off for inspection I told me them..still waiting on a response. At this point you guys just earned one more of the many bad reviews that you already have, which I didn't know before going there, if not I would have never drop off my car. I gave you guys the opportunity to fix this matter and avoid all these trouble and save us all time, but you decided to take the long way, well that's the one we are going to go now. read more

I brought my car in for a dent in the rear panel after the insurance company agent issued me a check in April. They said it would be July before they could get to my car - I nearly fainted at the wait. That said, July came and no word back from these folks. When I called yesterday, July 20th, after not hearing a peep from these people, I was told that my issue "had been closed".....what??? Then she said she would have the estimator call me back. No word all day yesterday (should I have been surprised?) Called today and they told me it would be September 28th. When I raised a stink about that delay, they said they could fit me in on August 20th, and that it might not be until August 30th until I got my car back. REALLY???? I HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP - THIS PLACE IS AWFUL?? If it was possible to give a ZERO STAR rating, this place would deserve only that. read more

Took my car here for repair and it was stolen. They are very negligent and unprofessional. They left the keys in it in an unsecured location. I'm sure that it was all set up by a staff member. I wouldn't even give them one star if it was possible. They shouldn't even be in business if that's how they do business. They should be sued. read more

my car was in the Gerber Collision and Glass located in market Ave for more than 2 months and they at the beginning were giving me updates. Two week ago they told me my car was sent to fort Myers because their frame machine stopped workin. Today I have a call that my car is total loss and is at fort Myers body shop. Now I have to go to fort Myers to take back some stuff I got in my car and my rental is expiring soon. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I lost my time and they should have told me since the beginning that my car won't b fixed. My time has a value and now I have no car and no rental!!!! read more

I had previously had repairs done at the Gerber Collison in Estero. It was such a bad experience, I swore I would never recommend or go back to Gerber. Since Gerber work is warrented for as long as you own the car, I had an issue arise from the previous repair. Since I would not return to the Estero location, I contacted the Bonita Location to see what could be done. From phone service to management, the customer service is 5 star. Very accomodating and helpful, seemed to care about me as a customer. This visit changed my view on the company and would have me recommending the Gerber Bonita/Naples location, 1030 Collier Center Way. read more

Even though I rarely find time to leave reviews, I can't help it this time. I hope it saves at least one person from being taken advantage of by these thieves. Look them up on BBB and you can see the ridiculous answer they provided to me and the number of complaints against Gerber on a national level. If you really want to know about these people, take the time to read my story. We took my sons car in for minor front-end damage after my son's friend backed into it. At the time of the estimate the hood could not be opened. Once they got the hood open, they found the radiator support was broken. Instead of contacting us to change the estimate, they continued without repairing it. When we went to pick the car up, we asked about it and they said they would give us an estimate to replace it. This new estimate included time to completely disassemble the front of the car again. It also included over $500 of air conditioning and cooling system work which is not required in order to fix the radiator support, and a 45% markup on $500 worth of parts that would not have been purchased or installed on my car. Charging for unneeded parts and labor, betting on a person's ignorance, is fraud in my opinion! This new estimate also included $1500 to replace the headlights which are now not working. The headlights were working when the car went in and the tabs are all broken off now so it seems to me that Gerber should own their mistakes and not pass them on to the customer. Gerber obviously has untrained technicians working on vehicles! On top of breaking things and refusing to take care of it, the workmanship was generally horrible. Many screws missing when reassembled, covers not properly installed which flew off the car before I even got home, fish eyes in the paint work, just to name a few. I imagine if you have an insurance adjuster looking over things it would be harder for these people to scam you for unneeded work. BUT, if you are going in on your own, BEWARE!! In an effort to resolve this as smoothly as possible I wrote to the local customer service and asked to be reimbursed for some of the $1400 it is costing me to finish fixing the car myself. A week later and I still have not heard anything from their "Customer Service" dept. SO, I emailed the corporate customer service where it states this: Gerber Collision & Glass strives toward providing the highest level of quality and service at all of our repair centers. Most of the time, we get it right, but when we don't...we want a chance to do better. Several months into this and to date Gerber refuses to do better!! read more
