I see a bunch of these bad reviews but yet when we took my truck to have the front windshield replaced it was a fair competitive price, all the staff were polite and helpful, I can't really say anything bad about the experience. We later on made an appointment and took our Tesla model 3 to have its windshield replaced and again everything went fine. Give respect/be polite and you might get it back? I have used Safelite several times for different vehicles, and always been satisfied. When I think of Safelite, much like their jingle, I think of Safelite repair Safelite replace. But in the past, it's always been replacing a windshield (or a side window since) and I've never used their "repair" feature until today. In a recent trip a stone hit my windshield on the highway and created a chip, which spread into a very small crack. My understanding is their threshold is the entire damage must be the size of a quarter or less, which it was. I was able to book a same day appointment, went in, and they took a look and told me it shouldn't be an issue. The quoted me 45 minutes, and I was out the door in about 20 minutes. Once again they did a fanatic job, quick and friendly service, and now the chip and crack is not even noticeable. Every situation may be different, but I continued to have nothing but positive experience with Safelite having used them in several different states (including once while away from home traveling). read more

No one answers the phone ever. They have now tried two times to replace my windshield. They were unable to calibrate afterwards. It's been 4 months. I had to call their corporate office and get it taken to regional because they forgot about me. I still don't have a windshield with the proper calibration. If it had worked the first or second time I would have given them a glowing review. For the third time they sent a me out to replace the wrong thing or add something cosmetic. Bad management for both the local and regional office. It wasn't the man's fault that came out here but he didn't have the history or the paperwork and says he usually works out of a different office. I will keep you posted. I know it's hard to believe but I have had a rock hit my windshield 3 times in the last year. The first time, I did not use safelite and had multiple issues with the installation. The next 2 times I used safelite and could not be happier with my experience. They take care of everything in regards to your insurance company. They are extremely busy and it took a little longer than they had anticipated but it was ready the same day. I do recommend dropping your car off if possible although they do have a clean waiting area if you opt to wait for your car. read more

I gave it only 3 stars because I had to keep going back and this should not happen if it's a quality job done right. For customer service I'd give 5 stars. I really wish I just would have never went in the first place and just fixed the 2 millimeter nick myself; that's how small it was (I could have ordered the glue on Amazon). But, I figured I'd let the experts do it. Well, they ended up making the nick worse, like dime size. Which I do question if it's because replacing a whole windshield cost more money? It's easy to make a nick larger on purpose ( I'm not saying that's what they did, but it does make one wonder since insurance pays for it). So, I scheduled the replacement at my home (which I don't recommend,) it's best if you go to them. They have all the tools in the shop plus a second pair of hands if needed. While I was driving I kept hearing this thud noise. My son who was in the passenger seat then noticed the windshield molding flapping in the wind. That could have been a safety hazard if it came off and went flying. So, I went back again and had that glued down, plus the first guy that came to my house also missed a clip by the hood of the car. I take my car home and my husband noticed that there was also about 6 inches of weather stripping missing on one molding. So, I needed to make another appointment to take it back again. Customer service said that they should have put in new moldings to begin with and not have reused the old ones. So, the master tec fixed the one side with one new molding, but he still left the old molding on the other side ( go figure ). I also now have a rock hard drip of glue on the center of my steering wheel which I cannot get off. I assume this happened when it was being repaired as it was not there before. ‍ read more

Follow up on my review of Safelite on old 41. I went too The Glass Doctor on Talor Rd,Naples. They replaced the window. Safelite should have not tried to repair with a chip in center of driver side. Progress Insurance covered the cost. Don't waste your time with Satellite on old 41. The Glass Doctor repairs everytime of glass in homes and cars they also have service trucks on the road. read more

Horrendous, sloppy, substandard, dangerous work done by this company that was referred to me by the insurance company PROGRESSIVE. The top trim piece blew off while driving on the interstate, causing panicked drivers behind me to swerve. The picture shows that clips were not replaced with new ones and black silicone was used to hold it in place. The two side trim pieces didn't fall off but were also loose because SAFELITE GLASS didn't install new clips, kinda essential part of any install, but they skipped that part, probably to save effort and money. read more

I always heard the commercials on the radio, never thinking I'd need this service. But, boy, I'm glad they're around! Things couldn't be easier with Safelite from my experience. Guessing from the time the crack showed up on my windshield, I must've gotten a microscopic chip on a long summer road trip that didn't rear it's ugly head until a few months later. The crack started at the passenger side and crawled to the middle of the windshield after a hot day out in the sun. Firing up my gecko-mascot insurance app, I created a claim for the windshield within 60 seconds, and then was directed to this Safelite location to book an appointment. Hot dog! They'll get me in the next day on my time? Click, click - DONE! All I had to do was drive my ride to Safelite, give them the keys and wait about 50 minutes for everything to be square. Insurance covered every penny, including re-calibrating the radar device attached to the windshield. The tech even came out to explain everything and send me on my way. For a major repair on my car, this was by far the easiest experience ever! 10 stars if I could provide it! Way to go, Safelite! read more

Windshield was installed in the timeframe quoted. Workers were clean and pleasant. However, upon inspection, new windshield was scratched. I feel Safelight should have detected the defect if I could. The response was "don't worry, it is in warranty". However, I have to make the time, drive there and wait another three hours. read more

We had a small chip In our windshield that we wanted to repair in case it became larger over time. We brought our car in and it was explained to us that it could possibly get larger when inserting the resin due to pressure and we understood. However when the serviceman came to get us she said she did the best she could and it was guaranteed, but now we not only had a larger chip than what we had brought in, we had an additional 1 inch crack in another part of the windshield that we never even saw before we brought the car in. The servicemen then said it was guaranteed and we would have to replace the windshield which would be covered by our insurance. It is only covered if you pay the deductible. The small repair was covered, and we did not have to pay a deductible. Now we have 2 chips and they won't compromise on the cost of a new windshield replacement at all, despite coming out with an additional crack! Find a different place to take your car for a repair. The lounge was full of people that had been waiting much longer than they anticipated. read more

turned my chip into a full blown crack on a 2 week old vehicle and took 4 hours for a static recalibration and simple replacement. the shop techs make me uncomfortable they are slow and always buried in their phone also this new manager is really weird he gives me the creeps he stares down my shirt and I believe his name was Kevin. he kept making really lewd comments and I just wanted to order an Uber and leave but they couldn't ensure how long my car would take.. pretty sure he just wanted to stare and honestly that guys a creep. read more

Twice I drove more than 30 minutes each way to Safelite on Old 41 in Naples, FL. Both times after I sat in their waiting room for 90 minutes and then was told they didn't have the correct windshield that needed to be replaced, or maybe the clips for it, who knows? I won't go back.​ read more

I am disappointed with this company and I would not recommend this place. I went to go get my windshield replaced and they broke my side trim piece of my car and after going to speak with them they kept saying they were glued on there...which in fact they were not. Then one of the employees there ended up telling me "well..if felt like it". I was very upset and they told me their manger/supervisor would call me the next day and I gave them a chance and waited. No response what's so ever and it has been over a month. They also had pictures taken trying to prove it was glued. But nothing. They found nothing. Came out to fix my windshield and now my car won't start. They didn't even fix the windshield told me it was something with the camera they had to order a new part. They put it back on with a bigger crack and rescheduled me in 2 weeks. I can't start my car. After they left, my lights were going on and off, different warnings kept coming up. Took car in for tiny rock chip in windshield. About the size of a dime. When we arrived for our appointment two different employees warned us, "Sometimes when we try to fix a small chip it can crack." This seemed odd to me as a senior seasoned citizen who has had many windshields repaired (at home and at Safelite business) and other companies over my life time. Sure as tooting - they cracked the windshield and they had to order a new windshield. The REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD THEY PUT IN WAS SCRATCHED in a major way. We discovered the crack after we left the Safelite office and went to get gas. How did they NOT SEE THEY PUT IN SCRATCHED WINDSHIELD? THey also did not replace reassemble the electrical clip behind the rearview mirror. Had to order another one and it was replaced in Lee Summit, MO. Lee Summit experts told us that having a small chip become a crack when fixing is a RARE OCCURRENCE! Less than 3% of the time does it happen and the repair person had worked there 15 years. So not only did the service suck in Safelite Naples, but they cracked my windshield and replaced it with a scratched one. Proceed with caution. read more

I had a completely terrible experience with the Technician. First, let me state that I had to have service performed while I was out of state, on vacation, and just now had the opportunity to sit down and leave my review. I was given a 1200-1700 window for the appointment. At 1015 on the appointment date, I called Safelite to determine if I could get a window any more precise than 5 hours because of being on vacation and trying to plan my day around the appointment. I didn't want to have to spend 5 hours at the hotel if at all possible. I spoke with a lady who said that she tried calling the Technician, but he didn't answer, and didn't have a voicemail setup. Not really a good impression. She said that she would text him and the local office and have him reach out to me. I never heard anything until 1300, when the Technician called me to advise that he'd be there between 1500-1530. Okay, perfect. I can definitely plan my day around a 30 minute window. Well, 1545 rolled around (15 minutes past his 'late' arrival estimate), so I called him to get an update. He said "I was actually just about to call you. I'm about 20 minutes away." I asked how long it would take him to perform the work and he advised 60-90 minutes. I advised that I had a rental vehicle due to this incident that had to be returned by 1800, and that would be cutting it close. He said "Worse comes to worse, I can just follow you to Enterprise and give you a ride back in my van." I told him that sounded good. Another 30 minutes passed by, and he calls to say "I'm sorry, but I have some bad news. I'm still another 25 minutes away, and I checked with my manager and apparently I can't have customers in my van." I proceeded to tell him that his negligence really screwed up my time and that now he'd have to wait on me at the hotel, so I could drive across town to return my rental. I had to go wake up my wife and 9 month-old daughter who were napping while waiting on him to get them dressed to rush to return the rental. So, needless to say, I had an awful experience trying to get the work to be done, but that didn't end the nightmare that was my experience with Safelite. When we got there with the car, he looked at it and expressed concern with the glass falling onto the ground and into the back of my car because it was shattered and he didn't have a working Shop Vac because he just got a new van that didn't have a power inverter to plug it into. I had one in my car, but it didn't work. I asked if he at least had a backup plan like a broom and dust pan, but he said he didn't. He tried to talk me into just getting it replaced after making the 600 mile drive back home, to which I replied that I didn't want to risk the glass falling out with my two little girls in the car and that he should've been prepared and needed to figure it out. After he called to let me know he was finished, I went out and took a quick look at the window and he handed me a brochure and took payment from me. He did attempt to make the situation better for me by waiving the $24.99 mobile service fee and the $9.99 glass disposal fee, which was nice of him. However, after he left and we opened the rear hatch on the car for the first time, I discovered that the quality of work was horrendous. There were chunks of glass all over the trunk area of the car, which I had to go spend money to vacuum out. Also, chunks of glass fell into the plastic panel on the hatch door, so every time I open the door, you can hear it rattling around in there. What's worse, is that there's a slight gap around the latch on the door, and when I open the door, chunks of glass fall onto my head and onto my garage floor. Not only is this terrible and unsatisfactory work quality, it's a safety hazard. He also severely scratched all of the plastic paneling around the window. It looks absolutely horrible. I have photos to document both the remaining glass in the car as well as the scratches. I expect to have the glass in the door panel removed and would either like to have the scratched paneling replaced by Safelite or either be refunded for what I paid to have this crappy work done. If this is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be seeking legal counsel for the damage caused and unsatisfactory work. Thank you. read more

My insurance called them a few weeks ago to replace the glass on my windshield. We scheduled an appointment. They came with the windshield. But said that the two molding pieces around the windshield had to be replaced and that if they replace the windshield they could come back and replace the moldings but the risk would be that if it rained that water could get into the car. So we decided to wait until they had the moldings and do the windshield replacement at the same time. Without contacting me they scheduled me when the moldings came in within a few days. I called them and said I couldn't do that day and they made me wait two weeks for another appointment. 2 werks later, Then they called me the day of that appointment and said that they did not have the windshield they only had the moldings. At this point I was quite upset because they made me wait two weeks and I am leaving the area in a few days. They did respond to my upset and they did by-pass their scheduling system and gave me an appointment for tomorrow which is not very convenient for me as I had already set aside this afternoon and they would not give me an approximate time yet. Let's see how the window replacement goes but their customer service has been fallen short up to this point. read more

I had to have my windshield replaced recently because of flying pebbles/rocks from a truck. I ended up using them when I called to see if they would give me an estimate, only to find out that because of the severity of the crack, my insurance would cover the installation. Other than the process being a little slow, I have been satisfied with my new windshield.
