We are very happy with this Jamestown shop, our first time ever using the Safelite repair service. They even took care of working out payment by our auto insurance carrier (Erie). The phone calls we made to Safelite's call center in Texas were the low point of the whole experience. I wish we could have dealt directly with the shop when making the appointment.

It does not actually take it away. The crack is still there. It's just filled in. The worst part is they recommend new windshield wipers no matter how new yours are to protect the repairs so they overcharge you for some of the worst windshield wipers I've ever had in my life. bottom line this company is just trying to make a sale and price gouge their clients. if you are considering having a chip or crack repaired, do yourself a favor and get the windshield replaced. And whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. They are trash and a driving hazzard as they do not work.

Marty and Shane came out to do the repair while we were in Amherst and discovered the wrong side had been sent. The return was made while a new piece was sent out. They then came to the Rochester area to do the replacement. Couldn't have asked for a better job. They were very thorough, clean and efficient. They take pride in their work and the end result shows. It took about an hour and while one might wonder what made service so good.... I had one replacement that left me with a piece of glass on my dash that had my inspection sticker etc on . I drove around with this for a year until next. inspection. Marty removed said stickers and applied them to my new windshield. This felt huge to me. Guessing he had to take them off and didn't properly tighten one of them back down. Luckily it's the passengers side and could still see out of my half when it happened. I'll take a look at it on a nice day and see what the actual problem is. Also my windshield liner was pretty beat up after, but after inspecting it, its all dry rotted and probably would have been impossible to replace without chipping that up a bit.. and after looking into it further I can replace that one piece pretty easily.. it would have been 5 stars but.. you know, windshield wiper... I get it it's easy to forget to tighten a bolt. We are all only human.
