Email, Text and the next day after the text confirmation I receive a phone call to confirm the appointment and the tech states he will be contacting me two days from now to confirm yet again. My vehicle windshield had a crack in it from a stone while driving on the highway. I called my insurance company and told them what happened and they set up the appointment with Safelite Auto Glass. Graham showed up within the time period they said he would be there. Graham was very pleasant and professiona. He did an excellent job in a reasonable amount of time. When he was done, he told me what I had to do before I could drive, use windshield washer, or to power wash my vehicle. I would definitely recommend Safelite Auto Glass to my family and friends. We worked to arrange replacing our front windshield, 2014 Prius. I asked Hornell Safelite person abt pricing over the phone after making the appointment here at home and nearly feel off my seat! We didn't have insurance coverage so it was to be out of pocket. Fortunately, we took our car to Marbled auto repair in Penn Yan, ny which is charging less than HALF THE PRICE! So $504 dropped to $253 which includes taxes. Avoid Safelite, no doubt this location is bilking insurance companies n folks w deductibles as well! So much for that great jingle on TV, Safelite replace, Safelite Repair. Bull!! read more

My windshield repair was an insurance claim, not that it really matters. I've use this location for years with many different vehicles and have never had an issue. My latest windshield repair was no different. This time it was scheduled to be done at my place. They text, called and emailed ahead of time to let me know when they'd arrive. The tech actually had the windshield installed and was finishing up before I even noticed them. It's nice to have a windshield that isn't cracked, I'd been driving it that way for so long I had forgotten what it was like. read more

They are two hours away from me and came on time and very professional and brought everything necessary to complete the work on my BMW even when it was 25 degrees outside and who does that? No leftover residue or particles inside either. And they beat the other local glass guys by almost a hundred bucks for the same windshield. I would call them again if I needed another job. read more

This is the email I sent to Safelite after my vehicle was damaged during repairs. It has been 10 days and still no response. ******* Good Afternoon I recently had my windshield replaced by Safelite. My vehicle has been awaiting an inspection so I have not been able to look at it until yesterday. When I got in to drive my vehicle home I noticed that the wiper arm cover had been cracked. I was annoyed but I figured I would let it go. Later that day the battery had died. When I opened the hood to charge the battery I noticed Several other issues. To start, The broken wiper arm cover was also broken at its base. Something I had not noticed. I began to remove the tape from the install and I noticed that underneath, there were smears of adhesive on both sides of the car, near the top of the A pillars. I also saw that the windshield moulding was not fully seated. I attempted to push the moulding in but, it was glued in place. Under the hood, I found a loose clip which, i soon realized was missing from the cowl panel. There are 4 clips that hold it in. 1 was missing, 1 was half inserted, 1 was stripped. Only 1 was OK. The cowl panel itself (and its trim piece) was installed too far to one side so there is a large gap on the driver side. I also saw that the moulding that runs across the base of the cowl panel was not attached to the first 2 clips on either side, it was just flopping around. And when I went to find the receipt for contact information, I see "Your vehicle has been vacuumed!" and "Your exterior windows have been cleaned!" Neither of these were done. This is unacceptable.
