We went there to buy a UTV the sales staff told us they had NEW left overs from the factory coming in. We put a deposit down and waited for them to come in. Obviously we refused to take it. We left a negative review, the owner in writing on line lied a year ago and is still spouting off untrue statements. His staff in front of 3 witnesses guaranteed us we were getting a new left over machine. No one ever said anything about a used recalled machine. I purchased a vehicle from this dealer with only 53,000 miles on it and within a month immediately had issues. I brought the vehicle back and their service department was so incompetent they had to send the vehicle to another shop to be repaired. on top of this, the service advisor was the most dismissive arrogant individual I have ever dealt with at a dealership. Kyle, who I was consistently directed to who isn't even in sales or service whatsoever, proceeded to make this whole process as miserable as possible. fast forward to 8 month into owning the car, I've had so many issues I have to sell the car for what I can get out of it and drive a beater to recoup some of the money I've dumped into keeping it on the road. a letter was submitted to the BBB in which the company completely ignored. POSITIVELY DO.NOT. BUY. HERE. I will personally look for a better deal for you to keep business out of their hands I had such a bad experience. never. ever. again.

We had the absolute misfortune of dealing with the owner/manager of Hillside Auto during our UHaul…read morerental experience last weekend. We called a week and a half before our move to reserve a 17' Uhaul truck for 9am on Thursday. We then received a call at 6pm the evening before informing us that the 17' truck "never showed up", so we were being offered a 10' truck. No apology, nothing. A minor annoyance that we chose to overlook. We then received another phone call the next morning saying that the 10' truck "was out on rental and they called to say they wouldn't have it back until 10am. We will call when it gets here." Finally got a call at 10:20am saying the truck was ready. Again, no sort of apology given for the delay. Upon returning the truck is when the fun started. We have used UHaul successfully multiple times, mainly because of their excellent customer service and the "UHaul Guarantee", which states that if the truck you reserve is not the size or available at the time that was chosen, you receive a $50 compensation for the hassle. When the owner of Hillside Auto was asked about this, he turned into - for lack of a better term - a gigantic toddler. Meltdown, ensue. He started tossing papers around the desk and called UHaul, slammed the phone down when it was a recording (asking him to press a number corresponding with his inquiry). Then, opened the internet chat, asking us questions while refusing to look at either one of us. This was all to answer the only question we asked: Do we process the refund through you, or does it have to be done through corporate? He then chose the time to start yelling about how he: "Is not getting rich off of UHaul; he makes 20% off of the rentals; he has wasted $6 talking to us already; and this is the busiest weekend of the year and he doesn't have time to deal with this right now". All in all, we ended up having to contact corporate. If you are looking for a man incapable of taking responsibility for the business that he is running, Hillside Auto is your place. If you are looking for a competent, courteous, and helpful UHaul (that we all know and love), go ANYWHERE but Hillside Auto. I am disgusted at our experience, but I have to say I am impressed that he has managed to sustain a business as long as he has.

The owner then told me since I was purchasing a warranty, to just wait 30 days and file a claim. So that points out to one issue. That is fraud at its best. Then my vehicle had become disabled for more than 3 months due to the owner trying to save a buck to cut corners on the repairs for my vehicle. Which also at the time almost cost me my job do to lack of reliability. Once I received my vehicle back I was told that the vehicle had been repaired and should be good to go. Drove it for less then three weeks and the same issue that had been resolved arose again. Instead of taking it back to have it sit for another 90 days with nothing being done to help I had taken it to a respectable garage. After about two weeks of repairs he had told me the engine had been destroyed because the first problem was never fixed. I had to replace my engine! I bought the vehicle for $4800 and now have to pay $4200 for repairs. I have not received any type of compensation nor call regarding the issue I have tried reaching out to the owner from here. I recommend not doing business here unless you are extremely good with repairs yourself.

Obviously it's a manufacturer issue but when you own a dealership it's your job to handle the warranty repairs. A few months after owning my vehicle my back up camera and speedometer screen would go black. I was told there was a recall for the dashboard computers but they had no direction from Kia as how to put it in without replacing entire dashboard. It's been two years Now and they still have no answers. Most recently all of the dash alarm and sensor lights have been lighting up on my car, speedometer and RPMs drop. I took a video for them for a scheduled Saturday morning appt and I was told their master technician wasn't in so there was nothing they could do! they still looked at it so it wasn't a complete waste of my time and to no surprise they didn't know what was going on with it because it wasn't doing it when I brought it in and apparently the car doesn't store codes. I then left and waited until it did it again and I drove directly to the dealership when it was lighting up so they could figure it out during active malfunction and they told me it was the back up camera. They explained to me it could be disconnected so it was drivable until the camera came in and could be replaced. I had to leave and said I would come back to get it. When I came back to pick up my vehicle. All of lights are still on, BUT now I have no power steering and it's completely unsafe to drive. They left my vehicle on the lot without calling me to tell me, it was no longer drivable and not to pick it up nor did they offer me a loaner. Terrible customer service they tell you what you want to hear but do nothing rectify the problem. Uneducated and unqualified staff.

This dealership sold her a vehicle with a KBB value of about $1,500 for $7,500 when all payments are complete. In July we had to perform a $700 brake job because the brake lines had rusted through and the front brakes had seized destroying the rotor and wheel hub. Admittedly had the seizure of the caliper been noticed the rotor and hub assembly may have been salvageable, but brake lines don't rust through in a couple months...least not that I am aware of. When we contacted Kyle about paying for the parts to make the repairs, which we performed ourselves, he agreed but never followed through. At the end of August the brakes failed yet again and a fuel line rusted through and is spraying fuel all over the engine. Again we called Kyle and he has been less than helpful and will not not return our calls. Interestingly enough the vehicle would not pass inspection at time of sale so they took it to one of their own shops where it miraculously passed inspection....that's not suspect at all, is it? As in all things, the buyer must be educated and aware of what they are buying. My friend was neither in this situation and these guys took advantage of her. As it stands she owes nearly $5K on this vehicle and it is not drivable and requiring more work to be barely safe, and is valued by the Kelly Blue Book (an optimistic valuation) at less than $2K. As my dealings with them have been under less than ideal circumstances I can not speak to their personalities or intents, I can only judge the outcomes and their willingness to make a bad deal right. I would suggest that if you deal with this company that you remain very suspect and get a second opinion on any vehicle or financing options they may offer you. Just because your credit is poor does not mean you need to be swindled.

I personally have purchased a vehicle from this company, over 10 years ago and will NEVER go back…read morenor recommend it to anyone that I know, not even my enemies. I purchased a vehicle from them and it had an interference motor, prior to selling the car the timing belt and water pump should have been changed since they weren't aware of the last time it had been and it's supposed to be done every so many miles. Just after my warranty ran out, literally days, my timing belt went and took out my whole motor! At the time both of my kids were little, one 6 months the other 2 yrs old, and I was there every Friday like clockwork making my payment, was never late or short. At that time I had already paid what the vehicle was worth, but when I was done it would be double which I was aware of but as a young mother I was very limited on my options. At the same time my 2 yr old son got very sick and they thought that he may have leukemia and we had to go to Buffalo childrens for 2 weeks for testing and blood transfusions. I had gone and found another motor for the car and paid for it and BEGGED auto credit to please put the motor in the car for me as they had the tools, man power, and facilities to do so, and then just tack the extra labor and any parts onto the price of the car and extend my payments. They finally agreed and I paid to have the vehicle towed to their garage, upon where their mechanics laughed stating how "this is a 4 hr job", ok well then I should have my car back tomorrow! Great! 4 MONTHS my car sat at that shop w/ nobody touching it! After 1 or 2 months I stopped making my payments b/c I was having to pay to get rides everywhere and couldn't afford both and they wouldn't tell me when I would be getting my car back, I told them they would get a payment when I got my car! Thank god, after a bone marrow biopsy they found out that my son didn't have leukemia, but a blood disorder that he recovered from after many blood transfusions. But I had to depend on my family to take us back and forth to Buffalo several times for follow up testing after we left the hospital. After months went by I went to the garage and took my motor back and returned it to where I bought it and got my $400 back, and told them to shove the car as I had already paid more than it was worth. They sold it at auction for $100 and then tried suing me for the remaining balance. I refused as a matter of principal to pay them a dime! Now yrs later I still receive just before the end of the yr a threatening letter from their attorney, who is also the attorney that we used for my mother's will and estate proceedings....slight conflict of interest, but apparently not a concern to them or anyone they associate with even the people that very well know that law! The letter threatens to take my tax money....they aren't a federal institution and they have no right to just take my taxes especially so many yrs later. NOW, I deal with them again as I currently work at a well established, highly recommended, rebuttable car dealership. My niece purchased a car from them, being in the same situation my husband and I were in when we were their age. The car should have never passed inspection...when inspection came up again, they had to put $1600 into it to get it to pass, less than a yr of paying on it. Brakes, rotors, brakelines, gas lines..exhaust! Then as they were more than willing to fix the car and add the repairs onto their payments at $50 a week, they never informed them that they would be accruing interest on the repair bill. Now the car needs more repairs as when they replaced the rotors they never put new pads on it...duh! Which I'm positive was done to ruin the brakes yet again on purpose so that they would have to come in and pay for more repairs and auto credit could scam them out of more money. They are in their early 20's w/ 2 young children and both are working full time plus another part time job just trying to keep a roof over their head, and Kyle Shults sleeps just fine at night in his big fancy house w/ the money he takes from these people and their kids that deserve to be driven around in a safe vehicle. Now I'm in the process of trying to get them out of this shit box of a car and get them into something safe and my niece sat in front of me and called them to ask them what their exact payoff was on the car...$3,362. That was what was owed on the car plus the remainder of the $892 repair bill. I found them a nice brand new 2019 sedan and got the approved for a lease for under $500 a month w/ no money down...less than 7 days after we spoke to them on the phone, I called them back to get a 10 day payoff on the vehicle and Paul told me that it was $4,239 w/ a per diem of $2.08, which means everyday past those 10 days it accrues $2.08 of interest a day. So please tell me how exactly in 7 days since the last time I spoke to them, this loan accrued over $800 of interest??!!!!! BULLSHIT AUTO CREDIT!!! I smell liars and cheats...
